So 2 days ago I was goin' downstairs in my apartment to put one of my favorite bowls in the kitchen when suddenly my foot lands on somethin' on the stairs that wasn't part of the stairs. This caused me to slip backwards, slam my head and back on the stairs, and then proceed to slide down the stairs. Needless to say, I broke my bowl.
Upon inspection, I believe it was my roommate's cat who I had stepped on, who had also mysteriously disappeared (which is weird, because usually she's very friendly). I was terrified that I had seriously hurt her and she was hidin' somewhere in pain. Long story short, she was just a bit scared for a few minutes, but was back to her cheerful self in no time, with no signs of being injured or in pain.
Me, on the other hand, seemed perfectly fine as well, minus some slight soreness, which then suddenly became incredibly sore the next day and the day followin'. After some online research, apparently it's delayed onset muscle soreness, which is supposedly a thing, so now I'm gonna be crippin'ly sore for the next 3-5 days.
Aside from my anger at my clumsiness, I'm just happy no one was seriously hurt, minus my bowl.
