“By the dread wolf,” an average sized woman sat up in bed, her purple hair in disarray. She tilted onto her feet, rubbing her eyes as she walked to the shelf stopping only long enough to retie her hair, exposing her elven looking ears, yawn widely and stretch her stiff body. “Now what is it?” She took the last step up to the shelf, looking at the array of items on its various levels. Looking around the simple home of this youkai, it was easy to see how many shelves lay around, lined with various miscellaneous things- or rather, glass items. Her eyes fell upon the one that was emanating light and energy. “Yet another one? Dear child, you need to stop creating such things out of whim…” she wagged a finger to the ceiling, accusingly. “What is it you have created now?” The elven figure reached to take the glass figurine that resembled a crow. It glowed with a reddish energy as she picked it in her slender hands, “Let us see what this is. . . Oh, child, what story have you crafted now?“How long had it been since she had awoken? Time was essentially irrevant to the young Celestial, here in Bhavagra, and high above the surface world of Gensokyo. She had at first began to count the days, but this too had little meaning, and soon, the young girl had given up the hobby.
She would spend today like any other - reading, in Bhavagra's surprised grand library. It was endless, by human standards, though it provided exactly that which one would need, and would expand to accompany any needs beyond that. It was the best place to gain reliable knowledge, for that knowledge which was passed down by tongue was often woven with a distaste for the lands below, painting surface-dwellers as unclean and barbaric.
And it was that which interested this girl. Although it was true - as the girl would find out, reading the history of things called "humans" and even their demon counterparts, Youkai - the danger these beings posed seemed a grand deal more interesting than the pure and carefree life Celestialhood would offer her. Perhaps someday... just someday... The Nameless One could go and visit the surface herself. "But,... child, you have told me this story before..." The elven figure turned and went to another shelf, the small glass crow in a hand. She ruffled through the figures, and pulled out yet another glass crow. It emanated no light, but a dull dormant blue glow. . . . Look. . . closer.. . . Doing as instructed she blinked and held the other crow closer, setting them both to comparison. Indeed the esthetic differences were few, but if anything one crow had a rougher finish than the other. She uttered a small 'oh before replacing the other crow back, and hurrying to a small yet sturdy desk. She set the crow down upon it, and sat herself in front of the glass doll. Now comfortable, she raised a finger, tapping the bird's head with a light blue energy ensuing from it; the red glow of it subsided, and a blue luster engulfed the purple headed girl... All while she smiled in delight. ~~~ "Ah, you are here again." The statement was somewhere between a question and a sigh. "I understand you are new, did you like books or such when you lived?" It was another celestial. One that was much taller and prominently shaped that the nameless one. Her hair was the standard blue, if a few shades darker, and she possessed diachronic eyes, one a dark shade of what could be brown or simply black the other a dull looking gray, though said feature was difficult to spot through her bangs. She wore a corset like shirt under a heavy coat and a pair of what humans would recognize as jeans. On her back was an ornate shield, in the shape of a dragon's snout, as well as blade. She sat across the table from the new comer, taking the book for examination, "If so, then I think you will be rather pleased with our selection of texts." "I have requested a few days off from my duty, seeing as how I am oddly interested in your sudden appearance... You seem young, and that has me curious," She returned the book to the nameless one," I had spoken to you a few days ago? Do you recall my name, girl?" Her voice was a bit too calm, but her intention true. "We do not receive celestials as often as you would think. "

"Huh?" The nameless one looked up from her encyclopedia, clear, icy-blue eyes meeting the older woman's. "I... I guess so. I just really like reading about stuff... about the world. Isn't it all amazing?" She let the woman take her book, waiting patiently for her to return it. "Yes, this library has everything I could ever want to learn... it's so cool!"
She sat back, a finger pressed to her chin in thought. "Um... sorry, I don't remember your name! This all has been really a shock to me, ya'know?" The nameless one smiled to the woman, closing the book and setting it on the table. "I... don't have a name, but I'll be happy to learn yours!"

"I am Hateshi. I am a worker of Kami." The celestial responded with a small smile. "Ah yes, it is a little normal to forget our own names. The good of said thing is that you may name yourself what you wish, something that means more than parents' wishes and stories." The now-introduced woman looked among the shelves," But there is no pressure, you may name yourself when you wish it and how you wish it. Additionally if you need anything, I am always in one of the houses on the far west."
She stood once more stretching," There is much to do here in heaven."

"Ohh right, miss Hateshi!" the girl said with a smile, a small bit of recollection returning to her. "I can... name myself? That's cool! But... also kinda scary... What if I choose a bad name? Or... or what if nobody likes the name I choose?" The nameless girl stared hard at the table between them. "... Thank you... You're sorta the only one who really talks to me, ya'know? Maybe you could show me what heaven has?" Following Hateshi, she too stood from her chair. "The Library is the only interesting thing I've found... oh, and the performance hall!"

"Ignore what the other say, its really your name and your choice. If they don't like it they won't simply blurt it out, people her are nice. I do suggest you pick a name soon, It is difficult to avoid calling you by your name, when it is a habit of mine." Hateshi smiled to the Nameless.
"Mh....you may like our section on maps and art then. The one who keeps it is a close friend of mine, I am sure they would allow you a close peek? oh, and there is also the small spring they Have here, I love to relax there after a day of fetching errands for Kami." The taller celestial waved her to follow, "What sort of hobbies do you have? Any particular interest? I have been in heaven for a few decades now, I am sure I can take you were what you look for is offered."
"Its no problem, I do not socialize much here. I mostly like the view, the people are complacent you see, and that is something I cannot stand," They walked down the alley lined by shelves towards the exit," That is why I joined as Kami's worker. It gives me a reason to get out of bed, you know? I digress, my point was , we both only sort of talk to one another, and this place will be much more interesting once you find a hobby."

"A hobby, huh..." The girl thought for a short while as they walked. "I really want to see the world below... and discover new and amazing things!" She smiled brightly, looking out of a window. "Reading about something in a book is nice, but I bet seeing stuff for myself would be even more amazing... Besides, I don't wanna stay here all of my life. That seems like it would get boring after a while..."
"I guess we can start at your friend's place. I've looked around Bhavagra a little, but I still don't really know my way around... the Library is just where I like to visit the most. Maybe your friend could give me tips on adventuring!"

"There is a few jobs that can earn you the right to visit the living world. My friend is a great archivist, she comes and goes freely so I am sure she can help you! Everyone calls her the seer. " Hateshi commented, leading her outside the library and to the pure environment above the clouds that was known as Bhavagra, Always sunny with a gentle breeze . "Would you like to come with me right now? She isn't very sociable, so I am sure visits would be quite welcomed."

"Yeah! Let's go see her!" She hurried forward, tugging Hateshi by the hand. "Whoever this friend of yours is, she sounds pretty cool! And exactly the kind of person I'd want to talk to, especially if she's seen the lower world! Oooh, do you think she has any trinkets? Or anything from the surface? That would be even better!" The girl was beaming, flashing a smile that held all the hope of a child.

"Trinkets she certainly has," Hateshi nodded to the nameless celestial, leading the way west of the library," she loves to tell stories so I am sure she will tell you whatever you wish or ask for. Despite looking like she prefers being alone, she loves conversation." The worker of Kami walked calmly enjoying the gentle breeze, till her companion took her hand to lead her forward. She could only laugh, a small pang of nostalgia and dejavu striking her heart. Hateshi smiled and lengthened her strides, "We have all the time in the world, just be patient ~"
A few minutes later, they would arrive to a secluded two story home. It was alight with paper lanterns, and a warm , oriental façade. The older celestial gen went up and knocked on the door carefully, waiting for a response.

As Hateshi knocked, she took a moment to look around the home. It seemed awfully out of the way, hidden in shadow of some other, grander buildings nearby. The girl couldn't help but wonder what kind of person lived here, when nearly everyone else seemed so full of themselves. Wonderful things could be found in the strangest places.
"Hey... Hateshi. I've been thinking of something... Um. About my name, I mean... There's this old language from the human world, outside Gensokyo below. It's sort of old, and nobody uses it anymore..." The girl said, playing with a lock of hair, twirling it nervously around her finger. "It's not exact, but... Lumine. It means 'light', sorta... What do you think?"

"Lumine..." Hateshi was looking at the door, but she turned to give the nameless child a nod," I like it. It has a mice ring to it, and it is easy enough to say. If you are comfortable with it, then I would go with it. I cannot quite remember why I picked Hateshi.... ah, a last name is fully optional, if you choose to. Bother with it." The door had opened by then and. A sleepy purple headed figure had appeared at the door rubbing her eyes.
"Seer, were you sleeping still?" Hateshi asked, but the pointy eared girl had turned to go back inside, lazily waving them to follow. "She must sleep about 15 hours a day, and only wakes willingly claiming that 'the child has made a new one' ... I think she means the small glass figurines she has." The worker of kami walked inside her friends home, showing her to the dozens of shelves stocked with trinkets and miscellaneous items of all sorts of shapes and sizes. The hall seemed to be deceptively large compared to the outside of the building. "These are the things I told you about... she actually sleeps and lives on the top floor."
"Seer? Where has she gone off to?" their host was nowhere to be seen.

Lumine looked at Hateshi, more than a little uncertain. This young woman didn't seem much like a Seer, or archivist, or anything like that... Where did she even go, anyway? And why didn't she say anything? She shrugged, and followed as instructed.
She took a few moments to gaze around inside the two-story home, and took particular interest in the small, glass figurines on shelves and other surfaces. "What are these, exactly?" Lumine asked, walking to the figurines and inspecting them closely. "They're really pretty... but I've never seen anything like them before." She said, idly poking at this one or that. "And... where did your friend go?"

"Dooooo nooooot tooooouch them!" the purple haired elf child came around the corner long enough to try and shoo Lumine away from her glass figures. Before long she had gone off somewhere once more.
Hateshi sighed before sheepishly coming to Lumine," She is very protective of her small glass dolls. You can, however, touch the none glass things here. I believe she is doing some sort of her typical chores. She ca. At times be very obsessive compulsive. That is the reason she is the best for this job. She literally knows where everything is, so dare not try to take something with no permission."

Lumine nearly jumped out of her skin, hopping away from the shelves with a start. She eyed the seer even more curiously, even as she was shooed away, and watched the woman disappear again just as quickly as she had appeared to disturb things.
"... She's kinda creepy..." Lumine admitted to Hateshi. Before leaving the shelves, she nudged a statue one fourth of an inch out of place, then walked away with a chuckle. "What's her name anyway? And why is she so... like that?" She now went to another series of shelves, looking over the non-glass objects as advised.

"Mh, I am not too sure, she simply is?" Hateshi watched her companion come back around," As for her name, she has not chosen one? She simply is called the seer. She refuses to tell me her name if she has chosen one." As they viewed the shelves, the girl's voice came back form where the statue was. It was some intense grumbling, and the sound of something being moved and rearranged. "She is weird as I said. "
"I only take my hobby seriously," the girl came around, glaring at Lumine, eyes full of a 'i know it was you' expression. "Hello Hateshi, what is it you need today?6
