Inhabitants and Their GreetingsLitonya Suletu - The builder of the teepee, Litonya is a 23-summer-old native born far to the west. She came east with her father several summers ago, but since he passed away around the time she arrived in the Kawani lands, Litonya has been living largely on her own. She has learned the language a little haphazardly, as she has a few other native tongues. However, given the fact that she has been a stranger and unfamiliar with the Kawani language from the start, she did not move into the village until after the fire. The incentive was seeing a young Kawani girl, an orphan, living alone with her father's Soquili and the Soquili's young, motherless colt. Seeing the advantages of living together, and feeling her heart go out to this struggling little family that had seen loss similar to hers, Litonya graciously moved into the village and built a teepee to share with the little girl and the two Soquili that were now hers. Litonya is by trade a basket weaver, carrying with her the designs and patterns she learned as a child in her native lands, as well as incorporating the styles of the tribes whose lands she passed through before coming to the Kawani lands. As a result, she's a very creative and versatile basket weaver. Litonya herself has no Soquili, and neither did any member of her family. The two Soquili tied to her teepee, Wohali Usti and Donehogawa, actually belong to the teepee's other inhabitant now. In the little half-equine, half-human family, Litonya has been promoted to mother status, despite being fairly young and very shy. Being a mother to an orphan has been good for her. Awinita Hiawassee - Awinita's only about five or six summers old. Both her parents passed away in the Great Fire, leaving her alone with her father's Soquili and the stallion's colt, as the colt's mother and sister both also disappeared in the chaos. The cheerful, bouncy child who enjoyed learning to braid feathers and beads and the like into her daddy's proud Soquili is now very, very sad and lonely. And while Wohali Usti does his best to replace her father, he hasn't been as much of a mother figure, resulting in them really needing Litonya in their lives. In the moon or two since the end of the Great Fire, Litonya, Awinita, Wohali, and the colt have started getting close to each other, like a normal family, and less depressed over their losses. Theirs is a broken little family, half-horse, half-human. But, slowly, Awinita and the colt have started to play together again. It's harder to say how Litonya and Wohali are dealing, but Litonya lost a lot less to the fire, and Wohali has stepped forward to reforge the Kawani Village Herd. Toys For participating in the Soquili v B'alam Olympics 2008 game! I won the gold medal b'alam over in B'alam, and for participating in general, I, like most folks, got this little Uni plushie. owo  This lovely lady dates from my first Xmas in the B/C~! Given to me by a friend. I'm still questing her, though I still haven't won her for myself. oO  From the same friend, I think a year later. We were talking about questing this handsome boyo together, but...hasn't happened, friend has moved on from Gaia. While I like him, I may unfortunately shelve him as just a cute plushie. Who knows, though. owo  I built her my first winter in the B/C as a self-gift, as well as for a ref for my first successful custom in Soq. owo She became the elegant Parvati, based on one of two types of unicorns described as living in India, one of which even turned back the Mongol Horde under Ghengis Khan when he was going to invade India. owo  As part of a "gift the person above you" plushie thread Xmas 2017, and the basis for my sumi-e koi! Cute, eh?  Crafted as a placeholder method of questing Wohali's son. He became the lovely and sweet Donehogawa. heart  Claimed as part of a giveaway during Xmas 2017, this pretty one would be part of the Briar Rose family. |

HerdsCeannaiche Stad Flutter- and pixie-based herd, located between two other such herds, the residents occupy a permanent trading post and festival destination. They also spend the vast majority of their time shrunken down to less than a foot tall. Very based on Celtic faerie lore, a tad more on the newer iterations. Naming language is Scottish Gaelic. Cirque LunaireTraveling carnival herd, and a home for all dreamers looking for adventure and a place to belong, as long as they're willing to work hard and play fair. In the process of revitalization, with faces new and old swelling the ranks, and coming together to bring this old show back to life. Kawani Village Herd Self-demonstrating title, I know, but this is the big herd in the Kawani lands, the one referenced most officially. It's still in the plotting stage, but I hope to have it up and running at some point. owo Silver Willow Bell Herd The herd that the majority of my Soqs belong to. Adelle, Esmerelda, probably also Alienore, and one or two more quests. Nice herd, based off the Shidelle family's great affinity for silver bells and willow trees. Performing arts and anything involving bells and willows is the core of life in this herd. |
