I have an obsession that to me seems really weird. I want to complete the pokedex and am not happy with "seen" entries. I also have to actually obtain every pokemon I have registered in the dex. My pc boxes get renamed to match whats in it. For example box 1 becomes 1-30 as I put the first thirty in there organized according to number. I think it becomes and obsession for a few reasons. 1. I actually leave spaces empty for pokemon I don't have. 2. I hate having pokemon that are traded to me because I want the ot name to be mine. (which gets really frustrating for those pokemon that you can only get by trading , Gengar , Scizor ect) 3. the first stage pokemon have to be lvl 1 and the next stage evolution have to be the exact lvl that they evolve. Example I'll have a lvl 1 Bulbasuar a lvl 16 Ivysuar and a lvl 32 Venusuar. if its something that evolves based on happiness I will get it happy as much as possible at lvl 1 and evolve it so it will be lvl 2. if its not happy enough to evolve at lvl 2 I start all over again. is this weird? do psychologist have anything for this? lol.

Everyone has their own quirks. My mother is constantly calling me obsessed with one thing or another I like. It's just part of who you are. People should accept it.

Nah. Lots of people try to catch 'em all, but everybody has their own way of going about it. Personally, I caught 150/151 (I had possession of a hacked Mew, and I don't remember but there was one left to get) in my original Red Version and then lost it and I've never really tried again after that. I guess you could say it lost the appeal.
That being said, I have never decided to not try again, I've just never decided to try. Get it? But if I did, there would be a few different things to it.
One, I don't want to catch them all, then have a new game come out after I do. If and when I decide to do it, I want it to be the first and last time. SinceI doubt Pokemon will stop making games anytime soon, well.. 'Nuff said.
Two, I too, want them all to have my ID, and not multiple ID's from my other games either.
Three, I will box the collection in order. As far as levels go, Idk how picky I will be about that. But I definitely will not have, for example, a Level 50 Charmeleon with a Level 36 Charizard beside it.
Obsessions aren't a problem unless they interfere with your health or get you fired from work, etc. It's just a past-time really. As long as you stay healthy who cares what you do in your free time? I play Pokemon, Yugioh, Runescape, watch anime, watch football, skate, and play sports, and exercise frequently. There's been phases of my life where I've been a bit obsessed with many of these, but I just can't let it dictate my life, y'know? I don't have enough time in the week to do it all though, especially working full-time. So what I do varies from week to week. razz
