[Melomar]

This plucky young squirtle has allowed himself to dream. In his fantasies, he and his brother are superheroes who protect the Matsutta village. In reality, they read and reread their comic books until they practically fall apart at the spine, the edges frayed or torn, and held together with tape. But Lautrec's dream is alive and well, proven each time they actually save their neighbors.

Name
Lautrec is named, in the tradition of certain warrior turtles, for a famous painter, in this case Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. His twin brother is appropriately named Toulouse. In addition, said painter's family has roots in the village of Lautrec, located in France. Incidentally, it is known for its beauty and for pink garlic, Ail rose de Lautrec. The more you know.

- Nickname: Trecky (Why yes, he does snort-giggle anytime someone calls him that.)

Physical Stats
- Gender: Male
- Sexuality: Unknown (probably heterosexual)
- Stature: Short and stubby (someday he'll be tall and stubby)
- Skin/Hair: Squeaky-bald with blue coloration
- Optical Orifices: Huge and red (kind of a raspberry color)
- Other Features:
- - He has a shell. He can crawl into it like a box turtle.
- - Two fingers and a thumb on each hand, three toes on each foot. This would probably make him a three-toed box turtle in real life.

Clothing
He and his brother each wear a mask, elbow pads, and knee pads like their heroes, the Adolescent Kung Fu Turtles. Lautrec's are green (his favorite color) and Toulouse's are brown.

They each have their own weapons as well; Lautrec carries a sickle with holes in the blade while his brother carries a four-section nunchuku.

Personality

- Nature: Naughty

- Summary: Awkward! This Tiny Turtle assumes the mantle of leader because he thinks he knows what's best for everyone around him. He fancies himself an apprentice super hero and tries his best to play the part. But he often says the wrong thing at the right time and his lofty schemes almost consistently lead him and his brother into serious trouble. He also has a strong mischievous streak so it can be debatable if he planned everything to go wrong. Not that that makes any logical sense. The bottom line is, though, that he cares deeply for everyone in the village and often wanders astray.

- ESFJ: The Provider aka The Supporter.
Lautrec's strong sense of justice and desire to help the underdog leads him to refer to his most important sources of information for guidance: comic books, the froakie Evron Stone, or their common and equally clueless diety Jocosus Matsutta the Heatran. As he grows, however, he will learn how to be truly effective as a leader, or so we hope. As he formulates his Great Plans, he visualizes them in his mind, in a comic book or storyboard format. Sometimes he draws his visualizations so that others can understand these Great Plans. Included are consequences, good and bad, based on his own experiences and the advice he takes from others. He also tries to think of answers to What If scenarios, thus becoming more tactically proficient and conscientious with practice and maturity. Sometimes analysis of the possibilities becomes too detailed, leading to too much planning time, extravagant plans, or complete confusion. Under stress, things can start to change. He can seemingly understand a situation out of the blue and produce spontaneous judgment or action. This can be based on a combination of intangible values, logic, and the real-world setting. Any followers better keep on their toes!

- Overview: Squirtle is a small blue turtle with reddish-brown carapace (upper shell) and pale yellow plastron (chest/belly portion of the shell). It lives in or near water and can shoot water from its mouth.
- Height: 1 foot 8 inches / 0.5 metres
- Weight: 19.8 pounds / 9.0 kilograms

Behavior: Squirtle are good, aerodynamic swimmers. They can often be found living with other squirtles, wartortles, and blastoise.

- Overview: An indigo-colored turtle with brownish carapace, light brownish-yellow plastron. Additionally, pale-blue wing-like ears and long, fluffy tail are used to steer while swimming.

- Withdraw: Water-type status effect. He raises his defense by one level by retreating deeper into his shell.

- Bubble: Water-type special attack, STAB bonus, power 40, 100% accuracy. He overwhelms adjacent opponents with countless bubbles; may lower speed. Largest spit wad, ever. Replaces Tackle.

Level 25:
- Protect: Normal-type status effect. He protects himself from everything, by retreating completely into his shell, except for weather and pre-existing status-ailments. Success rate halved with each repetition. Replaces Withdraw.
Level 29:
- Water Pulse: Water-type special attack, STAB bonus, power 60, 100% accuracy. He attacks with an ultrasonic blast of pulsating water at even non-adjacent targets. May cause Confusion. Replaces Water Gun.
Level 33:
- Aqua Tail: Water-type physical attack, STAB bonus, power 90, 90% accuracy. He swirls his tail, conjuring water with the motion, then swipes tail around to hit even adjacent targets with an arc of water. Replaces Bubble.

- Rain Dance: Water-type status effect. He calls forth a rainshower that lasts five turns. Replaces Rapid Spin.
Level 60:
- Hydro Pump: Water-type special attack, STAB bonus, power 110, 80% accuracy. Replaces Water Pulse.

Lautrec has had no formal training as a pokemon, or a kung fu turtle. However, he does look up to his deity, the Child of the Mountain, Heatran Jocosus. He also looks up to the froakie and studiously learns the way of the ninja. That's just what the village does. Who's going to argue? Maybe someday Lautrec and brother Toulouse will journey to a kung fu temple.
