"However, you and the staff can venture out if you desire. You are to be accompanied by a few of my agents, not my secret service detail, but my regular agents who provide security for Cadmus. My reasons for this are my own. I just believe right now it would be safer for you."
Cecilia nodded towards Amanda, gesturing towards her watch that she would be back in a timely manner. She heard conversation carrying on in the hall behind her, as she departed for the night. As she had told Dr. Waller, she was going out with a few of the staff members. With Amanda's orders, she had a few of Amanda's agents come along for safety reasons. Gathering up the information to where they were attending, Cecilia took the time to change for the nights events. Finding out that Gotham City, Central City, Metropolis were all booked with events. Starling City however, wasn't as busy at the others. She had heard of a club called Verdant, located in the industrial park area of Starling City. A noteworthy area of town that was slowly building with popularity, mostly due to a certain billionaire who had recently returned to civilization.
Walking inside the club, the floor was already lively with all generation of dance music making the club hop. Cecilia's friends had already made their way through the club, doing their own thing. The agents that were with her were definitely going to stick out like a sore thumb if she didn't at least get them to relax. Relax? HA! What a joke. They had a job to do, they weren't there to party and unwind like she and the others were. Providing a simple head signal that she was going to head to the bar, she seemed to get a response of some sort as the agents did what they do best, blend in perfectly with the crowd. Dancing her way towards the bar, she found she couldn't stay still for too long. The music was perfect for dancing. Especially for ringing in the new year.

"I'd be glad to." Oliver said with a smile, leading the lady out onto the dance floor. It wasn't long until they had caught the beat and were dancing. She seemed fun, he hadn't seen her around these parts before. Then again, he had not seen a lot of people in a long time. She looked familiar, thinking back to a charity event he attended in Gotham back around Christmas time. The meeting he had with the lady was brief. Looking at her while they danced, he came to believe she was the same one that he had tried to strike up a conversation with. That is, until an arrogant, cocky individual strode up and interrupted their would be conversation. Oliver was curious as to who she was. Apparently she was a lady who liked to travel from one city to the next. Locking eyes with her, he kept a pleasant smile as the two danced on the floor. They danced for a long amount of time, until it seemed his partner grew tired. Escorting her over towards a table surrounded by bar stools, he waved down one of his wait staff members to attend them. Although he never let on, that he was the owner of the club.

"What?" She said with a smile, "You've been looking at me as if we've met? Speaking of that, don't I know you from somewhere?" Joining him as she took a seat. He did look familiar. Or maybe he was the kind of guy to have that kind of face that just makes it seem as if she's seen him.

Since the club was hopping, bar tenders were fixing drinks just as fast. Wait staff would come by the bar and scoop up orders and deliver them promptly. A waiter returned, with a tray of Verdant's finest alcohol. Thanking the waiter before Oliver returned his attention back towards the lady who was speaking towards him. He smiled, as he lifted his glass to his lips with a sly smirk. "Actually, I have been thinking about where we've met. Even if it was brief. You were at the charity event back at Christmas weren't you? I wasn't able to start a conversation with you because of a companion of yours so boldly interrupted." That may of sounded crude, but it was the honest truth. Oliver wasn't one to hold a grudge, that just wasn't to his liking. He was honest, bold and to the point. He was also the type of individual that would tell people how it is, something that some don't particularly want to hear. He wasn't there to make an enemy, he could sense that she had meant no harm in their last meeting. If he had been given the chance to actually start a conversation with her then, perhaps their meeting would have gone better. Time spent now dwelling over the past did nothing to change the present time. Oliver's smirk turned into a smile as he extended his hand out towards the lady sitting across from him, "Forgive me and my manners miss. I'm Oliver Queen, it's a pleasure to meet you again." Hopefully this meeting was met on better terms.

Cecilia's mouth fell agape when she heard what he said. Her eyes widening as she recalled how the situation did end up. Wow... she felt bad now. Double whammy! Oliver Queen!? Oh my gosh! He's the billionaire that was rescued off of an island he was stranded on for five years! She cringed then, sucking in a breath feeling horrible. Talking about starting off on such a sour note then. Cecilia looked at Mr. Queen in an apologetic manner, knowing if she said I'm sorry probably wouldn't cover it. So much for ringing in the new year. Maybe Amanda was right? She was starting to regret coming out to the public, she should of listened but didn't want too. Maybe it was just a part of Cecilia's rebellious nature that made her want to venture out? She felt like a complete and utter fool then. She almost hesitated in shaking the man's hand, but did so any ways to be polite. "Likewise, I'm d-Cecilia Reyez." Now this moment was awkward, no one to rescue her now. Only herself to perform such a task. "I'm sorry and I know that doesn't correct, nor fix what was done back at the event. I'm not used to having people such as yourself approach me. I'm such a low person on the totem pole that I was surprised that out of everyone there you chose me. And said hello. It's nice to know that someone like me can be noticed, let alone seen in a sea of the rich and popular."

D'Cecilia Reyez? Was that her name? Or was she hiding something, maybe a title she did not want to reveal? Oliver Queen frowned then, especially with how this lady before him shot herself down by saying she wasn't worthy enough to be noticed. Did she not realize just how beautiful she is? Was she not told this? That therein was a crime! "Madam, wealth did not lead me to you. I saw a strikingly, elegant, beautiful woman standing by herself that evening. A lady, shouldn't ever be alone. Whether you are attending charity events, dancing or any other public occasion. It's an honest sin, that you don't have someone to share the time of day with you." He was flattering her, trying to make her see that she was beautiful. It was a shame that she either didn't think so, surely no one had told her she was ugly. He'd punch that ignorant person in the face for just thinking it, let alone tell her that.

Cecilia got slightly emotional when Mr. Queen said it was an honest sin that no one was there to share the time of day with her. Looking down and away from him, swallowing harshly. Staring at her drink blankly, she finally took a drink of it. Not bad, it was actually a nice concoction. Maybe drinking this would help wash away a tension headache that tried to strike her then. While holding onto the glass, she noticed a tan line so to speak along her left ring finger. For some odd reason, Mr. Queen's statement repeated in her mind. Battling Bowman "It's an honest sin, that you don't have someone to share the time of day with you." The sounds from the background of music and dancing seemed to move in slow motion as she stared blankly at her ring finger. She did have someone, didn't she? Obviously so, otherwise she would have attended all of the events with someone and not alone. Why was she alone then? Why couldn't she remember? Focusing all of her energy and strength onto the glass. Not realizing how tight her grip was. The glass shattered instantly, as she was suddenly pulled back to reality. There wasn't anything really left inside the glass other than ice that now, slid across the table she was sitting at. "I'm sorry! I. . .I'm sorry."

"Are you alright?" She had fallen too quiet for his comfort. Her whole demeanor completely changed, from what she looked like earlier. Was it something he had said? He had only said words that held value and true meaning. So he had no idea as to what she was thinking, he was no mind reader. When the glass she had been holding, suddenly shattered it surprised him. More along the lines he wanted to make sure she was alright. Reaching out, across the table to check out her hand to make sure she wasn't cut. Even Oliver would have to admit, that was a first. None of the glassware he was aware of could spontaneously burst like that without an adequate amount of pressure being applied to it.
"Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong, here let me wrap your hand." Moving from his seated position, he moved to stand over at Cecilia's side and carefully take her hand into his. Picking bits and pieces of glass from her palm. He didn't see any blood, didn't mean that small slithers of glass didn't slice or penetrate her skin. The lighting there was horrible. Taking up some cocktail napkins, he applied a gentle, but firm pressure along her hand as he guided her off to the side for some better light to attend to any wounds she may of received.

She sat there disgusted with herself mostly. Staring at the glass that should have been imbedded in her skin, none of it was. She didn't feel like partying anymore, she had completely lost all interest in the conversation and everything. When he applied pressure with the napkins, she knew he'd look astonished seeing she was not injured. "There's no need for that, I'm fine.. really. Thanks for your concern. I think it's best I go too." She felt like she had outlived her time with him then. All she wanted to do was have some fun, she did for a short amount of time but as always somehow she always managed to muck things up.

Oliver was very surprised that Cecilia's hands didn't have little shards of glass, let along lacerations along the inside of her palm. She was a very lucky individual to not have been cut from the incident. Looking away from her hand and up at her, he could tell something was wrong. "Is everything okay?" He released her hand as he gave her a skeptical expression, though he would not stop her if she needed to go. He did however wanted to make sure that she was alright. "Don't leave because you had an accident, it's not a big deal. But if you would like to leave, would you like some company? Or not?" Maybe the change of scenery would help his guest out? Why was he trying so hard with this lady anyhow? In his past life before being stranded on an island for five years, most girls were a dime a dozen. He wasn't that same guy, he was different and changed. He waited for Cecilia to make up her mind on what she wanted to do next.
