Hello to all my fellow guildies here in the G.P.S. Guild!
I thought that I would start this thread for you and I to talk and or share any common thoughts or themes about things going on in this guild, in this site, and in the world and in our lives.
I was reading Monday the 30th of Dec. 2013 Word of Encouragement just now; and was thinking to myself that the scottish knight does a pretty good job getting a message across to the people in the guild here.
I read the G P S Guild Mule's daily gold balance report for the 30th and days passed, and thought to myself...
1-When are they going to have any contest or give any prizes away?
2-What about this "Possible - Chat Room" for the guild that was mentioned?
3- Is there really any one in this guild other than the staff making any posts about any thing?
I'm not complaining or any thing. I enjoy this guild as well as it's sister guild 'The Well'; there is a lot of good stuff in each guild to read and share.
Its just why isn't any one sharing any ideas to make the guilds better?
How come noone, if they have any ideas, are not posting them?
Or even trying to make the most out of these guilds?
Is it just me??? Or does it seem like a ghost town in these guilds compared to other guilds on Gaia?
What do you think?
Do you have an opinion?
If so... Why not share it?

I just do not get it.
This and the thread forum on 'New Post by members' should be all a person needs to make a post in.
But then there are some gate crashers that just love to waltz in with their anti-Christian, anti-God, anti-Jesus and anti-The Holy Bible saying that they are college educated but to be honest having read and read the one person who did that last posts.
You can barely tell if they even had a 3rd to an 8th grade education, and if they we're even old enough to have attended a college to begin with.
Maybe a at home study course or two, but not the well educated person that they tried to betray to us all.
It just bites my crawl for people to try and chase down a guild or someone in the guild to try and bad mouth the guild, the person or most importantly God.
When will they ever learn?

It can be frustrating at times, when you feel that nobody is contributing or even taking an interest, but I should say that even before I was a member of this guild I visited your guild to read the posts in here. smile I am not sure how many other people do this, but it is my impression that I am not the only one. I have had requests to keep the guild I spend most of my time in open, by people who only visit to read the posts. It wouldn't surprise me if you have regular non-posters visiting this guild as well.
It has been my experience that there's generally little interest for contests. I've had several easy contests with prizes that should have inspired people to participate been closed down for lack of interest.
I try in guilds to post topics that are relevant to the Bible. News articles, scientific articles, devotionals and bible studies. How successful that is, is hard for me to say, but it is worth a shot. smile More sermons? More worship centered praise music in the form of YouTube videos, or YouTube documentaries (Biblically sound ones of course)? Inspiring people to come with their prayer requests? More praise reports? Advertising? Though this draws unwanted attention, and negative elements, there's also positive sides to it. At times outweighing the negative. I am just throwing out suggestions.

I don't mind those of other faiths, or no faith. I just don't have the patience for trolls. I figure Yah's Word is for everybody, and we do have the responsibility to shine His Light. lol Even if their are trolls though, or people that speak against what we believe in, I'm praying for a better way to show them that this is a good thing without compromising my walk with Him. No PC stuff, and no candy coated garbage. But, considering some of the people I meet on the road, these guys are a cakewalk...
Games and such would probably be cool. A music thread (I like those). Recipes (but that's just me). Sabbath and post Sabbath activities have always been a hit when I'm out. Lessons specifically for Sabbath Day. Good books to read. And Garland, I like the idea of more news articles. I just don't have much faith in mainstream news (as you know), and only have access to highly controversial info. The Truth is great, but am I sending milk to clergy? Or beefsteak to babies?
