It was refreshing to feel the countryside around him as he rode, but in the distance he could begin to see the city creeping up on them. This would be a tough part of the race, even perhaps the toughest, and if there was a place for his opponents to try and make a move on him it was going to be in this stretch. Even though it was a competition, though, he was having far more fun than he likely should have. He felt cleansed, easy...his ride thus far had been thoroughly enjoyable, and he was looking forward to crossing the finish line with some new acquaintances...with Nix as well...and celebrating a race well run.

"Keep up the pace," he hummed into his helmet...imagining it might have been more fun if they all had little microphones in their helmets to chat with one another even if one fell behind. He could see how Nix was doing, maybe catch up, and...oh, race! Focus...nah, not really. Nix was more fun to think about than the race...

'Tch, she's really holding her own. If I can just push it a little more...get a little more speed before we head into the thick of Okina-' Gin knew what was coming up in just a short time in the race. They were on the Okina Highway now, the closest thing he'd get to a straight shot where he could let loose with his bike, but after that they'd have to wind through inner Okina, and that wasn't the place to make up speed against Tsuyoshi unless he made a mistake and didn't give the city it's proper due caution. The chances were getting slim he'd win the race, but he wasn't out of things yet, so he would push his bike to it's limit and reach the end after nothing less than blazing a trail! It was his duty to drive this bike to it's absolute maximum.

Ah, there it was...Okina City crawled onto the horizon faster than he even realized at first, and even if it was a bit of a dreary city once you got into it, there was an urban sort of charm that a city boy like himself could appreciate when he saw it from a distance. Tall towers, a wide open station, and a road passing through that connected two important locations to one another could all be seen in the city. It was the central hub of the Supernatural Hotbed, and an important location to the country as a whole right now. Of course, all it meant to him at the moment was the next stage in a very competitive race, but he looked forward to the challenge. Each stage was a new segment of a budding rivalry...but one he wouldn't allow to become too personal. He just couldn't...

"This will be quick," he mused as he flew along the track, pleased at the speeds of his competitors...even the ones in the back were doing their best. This was what racing was all about...

And, like that, they were in the highway. Saiga's view on the others was still very strained, from how she'd trailed so far behind, but her bike at least gave her a nice burst of speed. Not enough to make it out of last place, but enough to at least see everyone, and notice what was going on. Nix had slowed down for a bit, and the Red suited man had rocketed ahead, while the other two were moving at a steady, brisk pace.
"Dammit...." she muttered, trying to regain lost ground, and at least catch up to...to...Someone.

"Faster, faster!" she giggled, finding this racing thing way too fun! Perhaps later on...she could even challenge Nito to a race. She wondered...was he good at this? Well...last time he hadn't crashed.... No, she wasn't being fair. He did fairly good in that last race. O-or at least, that is what he had said! She hadn't been watching.

With Kiki-Jiki having surpassed Saiga, his goal now was to focus on everyone else. Especially that person who instigated the race in the first place. So, with smooth sailing, he raced to first.

Tezuka staggered a bit on his bike as he drove, trying to keep up...and avoid plowing into another car. The distance between him and the purple haired guy wasn't changing...but the silverette was closing in on him fast.
J..jeez! she's fast! he thought as he tried to lean into his bike, patting it again to try to coax out some more speed. He had to win....To defend his honor as a biker!

Tats chuckled lightly as he watched the silverette start to regain a fire in her eyes, now focused on her prize. He was proud of her...and a little jealous.
Wish I had something that I could be that passionate about. he thought as he leaned in, the flash drive pressing against his collarbone as he continued to drive on. He had to at least try to win the race...Even if he was losing at the moment. It was part of being a good sport, yeah? The group was still neck and neck...It was anyone's race.
