[Starting Line]

A taped-off section of the Iwatodai Streets that passes by the Iwatodai Station with minimal traffic and potential for collateral damage; we figured newbies would be pretty bad at this, so we tried to get anything out of the way that could hurt the bikes when you inevitably crashed them.

...I meant you. Hurt you, when you inevitably crashed them.

Anyway, all races will start here! Beginners' races will begin here [Stage 1-1] and end at [Stage 1-5]. Intermediate races will begin here and end in Okina City at [Stage 2-5]. Expert races will begin here and end in Inaba at [Stage 3-5]

Haoul Yamakaji And Kanade Tachibana

Twin bike engines roared to life, as two figures positioned themselves along the start of the road. One, a taller figure with dark red hair, and the other, a smaller, silver haired girl.
"You sure you wanna do this?" Haoul's voice called, as he revved his engine. "This isn't some kind of Sunday drive. I don't plan on taking it easy on you, just because you're younger.
Kanade gave a cold glare up at the red haired figure, before leaning forward on her bike.
"Why don't we just let our bikes do the talking?" she called simply, as she revved her engine. Her bike had been rather normal, all things considered...but she was confident in her own abilities.
Haoul grinned as the girl cooly retorted, before leaning down onto his bike.
"It's your Funeral. girl." he retorted, as his heavier, Gabi-Class bike was revved. He revved the engine more and more, as their referee stood in the middle of the track, throwing their hands up.
"Get Ready!"
The Engines Revved more, as the riders looked dead ahead.
"Get Settttttt..."
"Good Luck."
"Don't Die."
"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."
And they were OFF

Saiga sat at the starting line of the race, waiting on her bike. She'd been challenged by a man with a strange name....
Kiki...jiki? she thought, as she revved the engine as a test, positioning herself on it. It was certainly a fast bike....Though, she hadn't tried to race on such things before.
"Better play this one safe.." she muttered to herself, waiting on her opponent to arrive. Surely he wouldn't chicken out, after issuing the Challenge to her as readily as he did, right?

She'd heard there'd already been another race tonight, but they only went part way. With the pride of the person challenging her, they were likely going the full track.....
This..could be trouble.

Just as Saiga began to wonder where her challenger was, Kiki-Jiki then arrived on the scene, with his custom bike that he had won through a contest. Now that he was there at the starting point, he looked at who his opponent was. He then chucked, his fangs showing almost as a taunt. "Ki~shi~shi~shi~ are you ready?" The expert race would be the easiest way to see someone's determination, and to show their pride. And he was fully ready to put it on the line.

If Saiga hadn't been expecting the man, she might have jumped as he appeared out of nowhere. She gripped her bike's handlebars, as he asked if she was ready.
"I was born ready." she retorted, revving up the engine. The person reffing the race would start counting down, signalling for them to start the race.
She kept her eyes front, as her engine roared to life.
3........2.......1......GO.
And like that, the two would be cued to start off!

As the ref had signaled the countdown for the match, Kiki-Jiki leaned in on his bike, reving the engine and hearing it roar. and with it beginning, he was off.

Saiga had made her way back to the starting line, tapping the small blue-tooth headset in her ear as she muttered.
"Yeah....uh huh....Come on down..." she called, before leaning against her bike.
A short while later, a familiar figure with silver hair moved, pulling up next to the girl.
"Yuno?....No.....Giriko?" Kanade inquired slightly, before stopping. "What did you need?"
Saiga moved, twitching a bit at the name, before hearing kanade ask.
"Oh, that's simple." she called, a devious grin about her face. "I just wanted to make...a little wager. You know Michieru, right?"
Kanade nodded quietly, her eyes starting to fill with a bit of suspicion.
"He's your boyfriend, right?" she called, remembering someone mentioning it.
"Right." Saiga called, before turning, and hopping onto her bike. "But if you beat me in a Race, I'll break up with him so you can have him."
"Wait, what?!" Kanade stammered, starting to flush. "B..but I don't want him!"
"Well, if you win, you decide what we do with him." Saiga called, starting to rev up her bike. "Better hurry."
"W...wait, Hang on a minute!" Kanade called, still flushing. "Why don't you bet something NORMAL, like parts or something?"
Saiga chuckled, revving up her engine, and gunning it, starting off in a flash. The silver haired girl didn't seem the racing type, so this would be...an interesting comparison.
Kanade bit her lip, before hopping on her bike, and starting after the pink haired girl, wondering what she thought of herself! Offering up a PERSON like that? That was...Preposterous! Absurd! just plain wrong..

Faust waited at the starting line, knowing that a few others had thought that it would be rather fun for them to all participate in a sort of race. While he knew a couple of the people, there were some others that were..strangers to him.
"Here's hoping I'm not too rusty for this kind of thing." he said to himself as he awaited the others, ready to test out his new, if someone strange bike.

As Faust waited at the starting line, another contender rolled up to the paint, revving his engines as he looked over with a cocky grin."Nice tricycle kid. I hope you can keep up on that thing." Although it wasn't the smoothest hum he'd ever heard, Gin had worked hard to tune up the bike he was racing today, and there was no sign of faulty conditioning. Compared to that, he got the feeling that a lot of his competitors weren't quite the aficionados that they led on, and that gave him a definite advantage when it came to blowing away the competition early on.

"Wuaah-hey, heyheyhey NO! STOOOOOOP!" Yosuke shouted as his bike twisted back and forth, nearly b-lining for a trash can at one point right before he managed to wheel himself to the starting line. It was a lucky, last second save...but, it had only been because of that one little mistake a minute earlier! And that wasn't happening again, alright? "Hyew, you know, they always make it look a lot easier in those bike commercials. Cruisin' down the road, a cute girl on back, heading off into the sunset...heh, that's my dream, man.'' Yosuke smirked, rambling on a bit while they were probably waiting for the race to get under way. "Alright, what are we waiting for? Leeeets goooo!" Yosuke shouted, taking off as he gave the signal to the whole team. He would get ahead of this pack somehow!...and hopefully by somehow, he didn't mean 'by wiping out and taking everyone with him'. "Running down the road, trying to loosen my load, I've got seven women on my mind~ Four that want to hold me, two that want to scold me, one says she's a 'friend' of mine. Take it eeeeasy~"

"And that Senpai you were so sweet on? Her death was the perfect excuse!"

Faust didn't let his frown make it to his face as the stranger snapped at him, calling his bike a tricycle. He merely started to rev his engine, knowing if push came to shove, his had a bit of an...edge.
"May the best rider win. he called, as he revved up his engine, accounting for Nix's participation. Though, he felt a bit uneasy with Yosuke racing with them. Were they....going to be okay?.

Gin blinked as Yosuke actually managed to take off on them."I won't lose that easily." Gin stepped on the gas (steam) as soon as he spoke, tearing out of the starting gate as fast as possible. He had no intention of losing, no matter how many people he was racing up against.
