I think this is in the right spot. I want to throw an idea out there and see if people like it. If they do, then this'll be the recruitment thread for it, so I assumed it was the right spot.
Basics:
It will be fantasy/medieval time with a hint of futuristic devices. I would do normal day stuff, but I prefer magic/alchemy type things to guns and such.
All races will be accepted, though I'd prefer to keep the crazy stuff to a minimum. (I.E, angel/demon/vampire/werewolf/whateverelsethereis all in one character...I'd rather that not happen. A mixture of two is fine, but to combine any more is just a little off the deep end.)
Although I said only a hint of futuristic devices, I will accept androids, on the basis that you have an interesting back story, in which you will have to include who built you and why.
Story: (I'm only going to put a sneak peak)
A well known town, called Antium, sits upon the edge of a dying province, alone and segregated from the rest of the world for the virus that ravaged the lands around it. The virus has no name, and the effects are incredible. They re-create the nightmares of those who have come into contact with the virus.
However, only the original person that the nightmare stems from can see the nightmare for what it truly is. To others, it looks like a giant black mass of words in the shape of a human, though to the original dreamer, it can take on any shape.
Sounds like there is no problem, right? The town is segregated, so why bother?
Well...let's just say Elves cannot leave well enough alone, and they want the place wiped from the face of the earth.
Races: All.
Because of the unique position of the town, any and all races are accepted here, and as such, is considered a cultural melting pot.
Type of RP: Any
I want it to contain slice of life moments, as well as horror/survival (I guess that's what it would be called.), with fantasy elements latent throughout. Basically, I want your characters to be able to live a normal life within this city, until it ("it" being their normal life) is threatened.
Other:
The word algorithm is not to be taken literal in this roleplay, nor is the talk of philosophy or religion. I will speak on everything in this roleplay with the type of character I want to play, but I can assure you it will in no way reflect my real thoughts, so I ask that you come into here with a neutral mind. (Of course, your characters can get mad, I don't mind, just don't go OOC crazy on me. Also, of course, what I type will probably reflect what I feel, but if you ask me, I'll just contradict myself so as to maintain the facade that you don't know, because it's ridiculous to fight over such things.
I know it's a lot of details, but I promise the actual roleplay won't be this complicated. sweatdrop
