[Mini-META] Game On

Missed. Of course he had missed, but Gwarredd made sure to maintain a positive smile even if his emotions wanted to gouge themselves. He wasn't an awful loser, but he did want to do something right, but fortunately for him there was Anju with her smile along with some encouragement from another leopard with a dark pelt. "Thanks." He said politely to the male leopard, the smile still fixed to his maw. "I appreciate that Anju, but between you and I, I knooow I cannot throw with aim at all." A warm laugh was out before he could contain it, missing wasn't so bad after all.

"You almost had it Anju!" He was absolutely astonished, a few inches to the left and she would have obtained a goal, being the supportive individual he was he gave her a huge grin. "Let's try again!"

Fun, he was having so much fun! The sun was forgotten now in place of trying to hit that goal.

Taji chuckled as the wild dog pawed at the ground, anxious to play. There were others that were already trying their paw at shooting the shell into the net, and a few were successful already. Impressive, if he did say so himself!

"Go for it," he said to Rowehn. "Everyone can play, you know that!" he added with a laugh. Everyone except him, of course. Since Howa wasn't here, he'd be overseeing the little games to make sure everything ran smoothly. Maybe he could think of a game that involved him for next time...yes, that would be fun!

[OOC: So far AstoriaFallen, CaliWolfe (once she fills in her post), and Green Ever After all have one of the matching numbers! Keep it up, it's still anyone's game =D]

Aka paced back to his spot on the sidelines. Sitting down, he leaned forward slightly to watch more intensely as the games continued. Everyone seemed to be having so much fun! Although Taji looked somewhat bored sitting there watching everyone. Well, that was the game overseer's -his mothers- job. Speaking of, the hybrid craned his neck up and around to see if she was anywhere within sight. It hadn't occurred to him until now that they were waiting on Howahkan to show up. He just presumed Taji was fishing for more interest in the little warm-up games he had arranged.

Stretching out Aka flicked his ear upon a small speck touching it and gave a huuuuge soundless yawn. Apparently he was more tired then his brain had even registered. No, that didn't make sense. He was probably just finally prepared for some more exercise. That had to be it. Yup. Most definitely, he decided as he recoiled back into a sitting position. He'd wait here for a bit before jumping back into the games, recuperate his desire to run about aimlessly once more...

Taji smiled widely as the felines all continued to try, and finally one of the rouges sank two shots. He gave an appreciative roar and stamped his feet, as was the tradition when a goal was scored. "Beautiful form, my friend!" he called out to the winged leopard. "Couldn't have done it better myself! Such grace and poise."

He chuckled softly and settled down, wondering if there would be enough interest in a little pick-up game of Kikombe now. There were certainly enough creatures around to play...most of them were rouges, but it was a fairly simple game to pick up. They just tried the hardest part, getting the shell into the net.

Aka from his spot on the ground lifted his ears subtly and turned to face Taji. He smiled when the lion's attention was drawn to the hybrid as a friendly gesture of sorts. Aka, despite all his ranting and raving of snarky remarks from earlier was not up for talking. Instead when Taji looked elsewhere he lowered his head so that the ground was level with his eyes. All the hills looked flat, and he could concentrate on seeing any lumps or grooves in the already relatively flat landscape. He felt a ping of slight delayed exhaustion that should have kicked in a lot earlier. Ah, his binge sleeping was probably making his system all wonky and unable to keep up with surreal and abnormal excise patterns.

Sticking his paws out and finally lowering the latter half of his body, Aka rested his fluffy cheeton mane on his paws and softly allowed his chin to settle upon his self pillow. Peh. A few minutes of this lying down would be broken by his desire to shoot the kikombe shell at something, or even someone if he dared to brave being yelled at. For now though he was tired of his parade of showing off- and even failing to do so properly. No, for now he'd just stay where he was and try to avoid having dust shoot up his nose. Seemed like a good idea at least.

This is the last mini-game! Are you excited? You should be! You're playing for this little sweetheart~



This last game is simple. You can have your SoA do whatever you like - continue to take shots, rest, sit around and talk, whatever - while you roll a 6 sided die. The first person to get to 20 combined points wins. For example, if you roll a 3 your first turn, and your next turn you get a 2, you have five points. Please keep track of your own points, and please let someone else post before you post again. If 24 hours have gone by and no one new has posted, I'll do a quick tag with Taji. Remember, first to 20 wins, 1 six-sided die per roll.

Jala had opted to sit out after his initial attempts. It sure seemed like a rowdy thing, and he wasn't entirely sure he liked such rough play. He hadn't any idea that his was child's play compared to the real thing. Besides, how would he get home if he got hurt out here? No, it was better to stay hale and healthy and be a spectator. He cheered for clever moves and suchlike, but stayed firmly on the sidelines. He did start to glance around, though, to see who else might be hanging around with him, someone who wasn't playing that he might be able to talk to, learn more about what in the world was going on!

Kala hadn't been paying attention. Maybe it was because he had been so bummed about being late- it wasn't something he was used to, after all. He was the kind of leopard that liked to winners. Winners weren't late. The ones who were late were the ones who came in last. So did that mean he had come in last, then? It was more than a little pathetic.

But then he reminded himself that he didn't need to be too worried about winning or losing- it was really all about being better because of it. Certainly, he learned not to let himself get distracted when something important was going on.

He was going to be the most on time leopard ever, that was for sure.

Sighing to himself, he looked around, blinking as he became aware that a lot of things had happened. It looked like the games were still going on. Why be upset? He had a great pride and it was still a good day.

He needed to get over his case of the gloomies before he missed even more. What was the point of being upset about useless things, anyway? Wasn't like he could go back in time and change what had happened!

Kala saw some animals nearby, but he wondered if it would be rude to interact with them. After all, he wasn't very well-known in the pride on the best of days, and after coming in late... maybe it was too late to mingle. Or maybe he was just shy and he was using that as an excuse. He didn't often just... talk to others. Normally he interacted by challenging them to sports or contests of strengths, and got to know them through their abilities. Was it rude to do that kind of thing now that he was in a pride? It wasn't like he just met them once and moved on his way. Now he had to live with them. So he couldn't be a p***k about them losing, though he supposed he had never really been that kind of winner in the first place. He was just nervous that they wouldn't like him much.

Not that he felt that was any fault of the beings around him. As far as he was concerned, they had every right not to want to talk to him for his goof-up. He would learn and be better the next time. Then he would have all the conversation in the place!

Or something like that.

Clearing his throat, he took to his observations, just keeping to himself so he didn't end up making more of a fool of himself. Maybe he could find something to do soon enough, and get a little excitement from what remained of the festivities.

Gwarredd watched with little care as the other black male approached, not thinking to much of it until Anju scooted a little closer to him, than he was alarmed. He knew she was nervous and shy so when she moved just a bit closer he became alert and stared at Holo with a little more awareness.

"Traveling is in our blood and the games were wonderful!" Gwarredd gave a decent grin, not enjoying the pressure Anju was under during these moments, he hated to see her startled or worried.

"Is there always so much excitement here?"

It was at this time that he stared back at Holo, Gwarredd had considered finding a permanent home for Anju and himself for quite some time now, but he wanted them to explore until something screamed home. He wasn't sure how he felt here, but they were fresh off of traveling and that could easily cause that feeling.
