This is a PRP between Risti (Baby Pandah) and Rotem Amachi (Leopleuradon) and his familiar Iqbal.

Rotem didn't often travel outside of the desert, but every once in a blue moon he'd be asked to make a special delivery. Normally he'd pawn this task off on someone else, but his father had asked him to make sure the trinkets strapped across his back made it to their new home safely. They already had their part of this bargain, so he needed to make sure their half of the exchange happened. He was too professional of an escort to not be trusted with the exchange.

He was getting close, by around this time tomorrow he'd have the good where they needed to be, and he could be on his way back home. Back in familiar territory. Was it strange to be comfortable surrounded by sad and the heat? He almost felt cold out in the middle of the forest, he was too used to the constant sweat of the desert heat. He shivered a bit and then rolled his eyes.

"Are you cold Rotem?" Rotem nearly jumped, Iqbal had been so quiet he had nearly forgotten he was accompanying him. He managed to keep his cool and he sent a cocky smirk in the direction of his best friend. "That depends, do you want to cuddle?" The two of them chuckled together as they continued to head deeper into the forest.

"It is a little crowded in here, don't you think? I miss the desert. I miss the heat and the sand in my face." He gave a forlorn glance backwards, towards home and then continued to put one hoof in front of the other. "Personally, I think it feels much better out here. It would be hard to run in all these trees though. I need the open sands!" Seemed they both missed home, even if for different reasons.

Large, kitten-like ears perked at the sound of voices and lightly tinkling bells in the distance. The forest had been quiet today, a sign that Risti took to mean that something interesting was going to happen today. But the sound of newcomers had split the silence and perked her interest upon hearing the word "desert." She had met two from the desert before, they had been dark colored and weary of her light colored pelt, but they were strange like her. Wondering whether it was Kynreeve and Ignazio who had returned to the forest for a visit, Risti peeked through the trees towards the source of the voices. She moved silently, hoping to surprise her friends as she had done when they had first met. But her eyes beheld a shock of periwinkle blue instead of the dark of her old friends. This was not who she had been expecting, but the conversation was interesting.

"I miss the heat and the sand in my face!" Kynreeve and Ignazio had invited her to visit them in the desert some day, but she had not traveled that far as of yet. The thought of needing sand was an interesting idea to her. Her father, Cooper had been from the desert, and she always felt a soft pull towards the endless sands, but needing them? This stallion and his companion perked her interest immediately.

She traced the outlines of packages on his back, and wondered at the bells and scarves. Her tail twitching behind her curiously, she stepped forward to get a better look. His light colors told Risti that he would be one that Kynreeve and Ignazio would dislike, and it made her even more curious about him. Drawing ever nearer, she wondered what the packages held and why the two had traveled from their home in the desert to the forest. "Package delivery for Ri?" she asked stepping out from the trees, her voice as light and airy as the bells that hung in his mane and tail.

Rotem became aware of another presence the forest around them when he noticed a soft tinkle of sound, one that didn't sound like the bell he and Iqbal wore. He didn't feel threatened, so he had ignored whomever it was, assuming they would likely do the same to him. In his experience, most people just ignored each other if they could. He was more social than most others he ran into, and that was saying something. However, they were not ignored for long. He was surprised when a lovely mare popped out from behind a tree.

"I don't think you'd quite look good in these, they're for a guy after all. They'd fit your slender frame all weird." He gave her one of his flirtatious smiles, the one he always saved for lovely ladies. Iqbal called him out on it right away though. "If he's bothering you miss, I can put him in line for you." Rotem gave him a small pointed look before clearing his throat and speaking up again.

"I'm Rotem, Rotem Amachi. Nice to meet you, Ri?" He assumed that was her name, although she could have easily meant someone else by that, if she worked for someone named Ri anyway. He hadn't had much company aside from Iqbal for a while, so he welcomed the idea of spending some time with such a lovely mare.

Her tail swayed slowly at his response, curling slightly at the tip. A smile played across her lips in amusement. She took a moment to observe his features more closely, flicking the violet bangs out of her face. He was handsome, his eyes were quite piercing and she admired his bright coat as few could outshine her when it came to brightness or color. She turned her brown eyes upon the pronghorn, her head cocking slightly. "He's not bothering me," she said with a smile and looked back at Rotem as he introduced himself, "you don't think I'd look good? I think I could pull it off, let me try them." She giggled lightly, joking with him and wondering idly if his familiar would offer to put her in line.

"Rotem Amachi," she said, dipping her head in greeting, "Nice to meet you too." She allowed him to think that her name was simply Ri. It seemed like such a silly introduction on her part after hearing his longer and more pleasing name, but she didn't know him well enough to fully introduce herself. His surname sounded familiar somehow. She wondered if her father had brought it up, or perhaps she had heard it elsewhere. Either way, she was curious to know more about this Rotem Amachi. "Are you here to deliver that?" she asked curiously, wondering if he might allow her to go along with him. The idea of the desert traders had always been interesting to her. She wondered what the other would have to offer Rotem in return for these garments. "What's in it for you?" she asked, speaking her mind and hoping she wasn't being a little too abrupt.

When the yellow female dipped her head he did the same, a bit surprised by just how formal she was being considering the way she had introduced herself. He couldn't help the amused smile that crossed his face as he imagined her in the gawky jewels on his back. Personally he thought they were a little big and flashy for a guy, but then he considered the flashiness of a lot of the Soquili back home. He was truly one of a kind in his thoughts. Still, this was a complete stranger and as adorable as he thought she'd be in the over-sized jewels he couldn't really trust a stranger to try them on.

"I must insist that it would be very unfitting for you." A small shiver ran over him as the breeze kicked up for a second, if he'd been home that would have been a warm, comforting breeze. Out here is just felt harsh and cold. He supposed he wasn't really meant for this sort of terrain. How he longed for home, and at the same time he enjoyed the new atmosphere. Especially when it gave him something as adorable as Ri to look after.

"Why yes, I'm here to deliver these for my father. As for what's in it for me, well. It's my job?" He didn't really gain anything from being a Runner for his family. Sure, he would get paid for this, but most of that would go to the herd. Besides, he was really strapped for goods anyway. After all he was one of many sons with the potential to take over. However, he had little interest in that. He just wanted the freedom to go and do what he pleased from time to time. Honestly, he enjoyed his work. He imagined being his eldest brother could get to be quite tedious.

"I suppose I do it because I like to travel. Normally though, that's in the desert. I admit, I'm a bit out of my element around here, but that's part of the fun!"
