Still gloating over her, Mia almost hadn't heard the humans around her talking excitedly about some play, until she heard their professor call out to them.
A human production theater? The reaper tilted her head curiously, wondering if this was anything like the movie theater they had went to last time. Hopefully not, as they seemed to be out in the open and not staring at some giant screen, and she was PRETTY sure there were no giant lizards or dinosaurs or whatever around, and even the level of FEAR in the air wasn't too tangible, so she only sat herself down, prepared to give the presentation her rapt attention. At least, so far, the trip had been pretty enjoyable.
The beginning of the play already captivated her, as she stared at the elf woman. Though she knew she was human, she wondered if actual elves looked this beautiful, if not more. As the story played out, she let out a gasp, hands curled up into balls as she grit her teeth, inwardly cursing the men. Such... such pigs! Defiling such a maiden.
As the battle broke out, Mia silently cheered for the elves. Those wicked wicked humans. They deserved it! Perhaps the hype she felt was from the FEAR flickering, quite tangible in the air. When their professor strode across the stage, she let out a surprised gasp as the battle seemed to ebb away, along with the feeling of FEAR.
Following after him, she only arched an eyebrow when he asked for volunteers, but remained silent, watching as the other students volunteered. Well, that was... interesting. It seemed there were more surprises though, when they arrived at the portal, and Mia let out a gasp of surprise when she saw who the strangers were. ... Contracts? She eyed the two curiously, and nodded, understanding the use of illusion for creating FEAR. She was glad she was now able to see it in action (the dinosaur movie didn't count).
Their return back left a bittersweet expression on the reaper's face as she took off the cloak and pin, already somewhat missing her medieval attire. Ah, reports, of course. She picked up a form, filled it out, and left.

They were going home, and that's really all Maple could ask for at the moment after feeling just the eyes of disappointment from her teacher. It had been an interesting learning experience, to visit the human world and to learn how to walk among them but she was clearly not ready for that. Or, if ever really.
So, she followed along, a little forlorn, back through he portal and into the theater where they had began and complied with the return of the cloaks. Once the pin was off, she felt the all familiar weight of horns return to her head and she had to steady herself from their sudden reappearance. At least things we back to normal. And with homework to boot, something the ghoul would have to remember to do when she got back to her dorm.
Maple quietly filled out the form to claim the items she had acquired on their trip, some relief from their adventure. They were a small sign of accomplishment and them disappearing would make her a little sad. Form done, items deposited. The reaper gave Andrew a small smile before she was gone.

It was amazing to learn that the pretty elf lady person was actually one of their own, and mingled among the humans so naturally. Or well, kind of. In a faire and stuff that was filled with a lot of old things as she was informed.
And away they were, from all of the old things and the dirt and the humans once again. Interesting how two trips to the human world could turn out so differently, yet each of them happened to have a show. Just. Different. Olivia liked them both. But, in some ways she was beginning to favor this second trip a little more. With the prospect of being able to finally keep something. Her bright blue eyes lit up when Rengath made his announcement and when they returned, she was instantly at the forms filling it out with her large childlike words. Got to keep things, got to keep things ~
But not the pretty pins. Which received a small pout when she was asked to relinquish them, and the cloak. At least her body returned to normal chilly temperatures, those weird clothes had gotten a little too warm (even if it was pretty much the same amount of layers as what she normally wore).
She didn't leave yet though. Instead, turned to Molan with a little expectancy in her eyes, wondering if they would go anywhere after this trip. (she also managed to spot Andrew somewhere over there, and stayed where she was since well... they were home and getting close was still loads of nope).

Oh so that was magic earlier. Hum… Contract? Andrew’s head perked up at the word. He had one with a human, that was interesting. Though it seemed more about theater than actually… interesting stuff. How boring oh well. FEAR was good though.
Upon stepping through the portal he was back to normal. That was nice. Having his fire back was always a good feeling. He like being able to switch back and forth though. Playing human was kind of fun.
He stretched his wings and shook himself enjoying actually being warm again. He followed the directions and ditched the pin and cloak into the box. Oh they actually got to keep their stuff? He grabbed a form. He was just going to pocket it but this was much better. Oh they had to write a paper? That sucked. He’d have to remember… maybe. Writing papers over jobs sounded boring as Jack.
Maple smiled, maybe she did have some fun. She seemed to want the stuff. He flashed her a smile back and then headed off to his room forgetting about there being other students there that he could talk to. That play made him a bit sleepy and he wanted the warmth of his room.

Simply had pouted when she wasn't chosen. She'd pouted as if it was the end of the world. She'd flopped down close to the ground and sort of scowled toward them all as she watched. She knew it was too late to get chosen, but the ghoul still didn't have to be happy about it.
And she was convinced she could have scared everyone better. Not that it mattered now. She'd show them all.
She did head out the portal as they were urged to, quickly dumping her cloak and pin as her tail and ears returned and her feet were normal again. Much better, no shoes and easier to walk. Actually it improved the ghoul's mood a thousand fold as she practically bounced her way across a few of the chairs and perched on one as the teacher went on about filling out a form and things.
Well the homework bit was lost on her, but she did go to fill out one of the ones with her name. Not like she brought anything back. No trophy for kicking butt at that horse riding game or anything. Tsk. Still, she was still a little upset about not being chosen.
So the ghoul was quick to head out the door to find something more fun to do. Maybe something to climb? Could she climb the monster dorms? Today was a good day to find out.

Molan had no words for his brother's display. No words. Souls? Yes they made contracts but... well there wasn't much else to it. He just sort of buried his face and tried to make the headache of being related to Etzer go away.
They weren't going to talk about this. Ever.
Thankfully it was time to go home. That was a good thing. A very good thing. Molan went through the portal, still a bit shell shocked with the ridiculous display as he listened to the instructions. Away went the cloak and pin, not nearly as upset about 'losing' them as Olivia was. Rather he happily gave his tail a quick flick and enjoyed the fact the world was nice and cool again. Or perhaps warm compared to him. Either way, it was good to feel like himself again.
He paused after dumping the cloak and pin to fill out the form as instructed and mentally noted down the essay. More on humans and their love of things they knew, that they could control. Ease of life was important too apparently. That was probably useful to note. He'd work on it later. He then turned and noticed there was a particular undead ghoul staring, rather expectantly at him. He wasn't quite sure what she wanted, but apparently the faire had gotten it into her head something seemed fun.
Which earned a confused look in return. "Yes?' At least he was attentive enough to realize she wanted something? Wait, maybe because the humans had been on an outing she wanted one too? "Did you want to go somewhere?" Or something like that, right?
He might have been catching on. Maybe.

Ruth never really expected to be chosen, that she was noticed at all was a pretty big deal for her, which probably was something she was going to have to work on some more. She glanced on over to Bren and Sera, shrugging her shoulders to show she wasn't all that disappointed at being passed over, the tilt of her own head seeming to ask how about you?
But then things moved quickly and it was time to go back. Although Ruth was glad that the whole trip was over and they were finally going back, she had to admit (to herself at the very least) that it had been a great learning experience. She still insisted on clinging to Sera, then flitted over to Bren, then back to the ghost ghoul while trying to reach for her fellow reaper. Someone was clearly being clingy for the journey through the portal and back to Amityville.

The performance had been an interesting thing to watch, curious for its rustic charm and somehow familiar. But perhaps it was just the fact that there were lots of stories like that, which was why the witch did not really linger on it altogether too much. Far more important things to do, like pine over the fact she hadn't gotten the chance to go shopping. Even Human World shopping was better than none at all! But the chance was not to occur, so the witch cut her losses at that and made sure to keep the little coins Rengath had given them close. She was a sentimental thing if nothing else and hopefully the gold coins were a nice token of a fun adventure. Or at least of friendship? Whatever. With a smile she skipped through the portal, beckoning Amphi and the others to follow. Hastily she filled the little paperwork out before she was back by the mermaid. After tailing the ghoul all day in attempts to make her feel better, Belladonna was loathe to just leave her now. She could still need continued cheering! "We should hang out sometime. Junko and Yaya too! And Lizzy! All of us, it shall be great fun!" And it would be! The witch just had to arrange it. Hmmmmmm! A compliment was passed to Junko on her scaring, along with an apology over the fact she'd been mislabeled as a ghost, before the witch began to consider her paper, but more importantly continued socialization. All the possibilities! Perhaps this class had given her an idea or two... Hmmmm~

Serafina was actually a bit disappointed they were passed over, a small pout crossing her lips as she was, while acknowledged, moved on from. It was alright, though, right? The professor wasn't too disappointed with her, was he? She shuffled her feet a bit, letting herself ponder over what might concern her as she watched the others go on and scare some of the humans. She wanted some FEAR for herself, but it looked like that wasn't going to be the case today.
But it was over as quickly as it started, and soon enough, Rengath was shoving them back into portals to go back to Halloween. To some extent, she was disappointed, away from fresh FEAR sources and even further away from having even the illusion of a mouth that was un-gashed and unmutilated, but she was moreso pleased, happy to get out of these silly human clothes and even more pleased to be back in an environment that wasn't so, well...
Human.
That being said, it was nice to go back to the human world again without the influence of DETH, and she had to admit, she had a much better time this time around. Now that she didn't feel like she had to deal with odd things DETH was making them do--no human-hugging assignments, thank Jack--she could explore a bit better. Plus, she had people to explore with this time. That made it better, too.
Even if Ruth was clingy. Serafina could appreciate the nerves, especially after regurgitating those odd lembas. Sympathetically, she patted her on the shoulder.
"That performance was fascinating," murmured Serafina, as she took off the cloak and pin. As she did, she touched her face... Thank Jack, the surgical mask was back where it belonged. "Much better than my first experience."
That was something she would be willing to repeat.

Oh, it looked like he'd embarrassed his brother. OH WELL. Getting to scare actual humans had been the highlight of Etzer's day, and nothing could wipe that smile from his face whatsoever. Not even any flame demons.
Going over to the table after entering through the portal, Etzer flipped the coin over his fingers, admiring it rather gallantly. He would like to keep the particular thing, just as a memento. Possibly even use it in slight hand tricks. Double headed coin and all that.
Hmmm. Etzer was thinking. This wasn't a good sign.

Leaving the human world just made Marosa more confused than ever, and he wasn't sure where he felt on the whole spectrum of scaring. He glanced over the table before filling out a form, wings flittering as he wrote down that he'd like to keep the coin.
It would go with his other trinkets and baubles of sorts.

He wanted to feel disappointed over not being chosen, but really Brenley was ever so slightly relieved. Given the caliber of student that graduated from Amityville, he could only imagine he would be kicked out if he couldn't do things properly, even if this was only his first week.
"I look forward to doing this again," he said, taking a form for himself and quickly filling it out. Minus the helmet and vomit, perhaps. Once he had handed the paper in, he ran a hand through his hair and sighed. He would never take being able to poke at his own face for granted again.

West narrowed his eyes at their instructor as he made his way back to the portal before looking through the crowd for his ghoulfriend and the sealy menace. That had been a damn fine performance, better than Elf War II. At least he'd gotten out of the human world with some kid's paintbrush... which he was now being forced to turn in to Halloween customs. Great. He scribbled his short list of contraband down on one of the forms and placed his crap on the stage.

Homework. There was always homework. That was the biggest drawback to going on these interesting trips. Nahm kept his grumbling to himself, though. Maybe next time he'd get chosen for some actual scaring.
He debated the form for a moment, then filled it out. A coin wasn't worth getting in trouble over.
