Which do you think contributes the most during the major boss battles? Power

Erm, based on my system, I have to go with physical strength. I always have a mage in my party, but they are mostly used for support. Physical attacks all the way otherwise.

I'm equal. Got to love the magic, but when you run out of MP your screwed, so you fall back on power. In normal monster battles I'm all about strength. In boss battles, use the magic force....[bad rip off star wars]

i'm a power happy girl!! if someone is strong and powerful it takes alot of magic to take them down....but really magic is a form of power. isnt it? twisted lol

Blasphemize I prefer strength. Magic is strong, but it's hard to defend when you're a mage. 3nodding Im a magic fanatic myself. Mages can be the back bone of a good team. Black mages learn strong spells to support the team, which become even stronger if you pinpoint a elemental weakness. White mages (this is were the qoute comes in) are esentail for keeping the party alive and kicking with spells such as Cure, Protect, and Life. Blue mages come in handy, obtaining strong attack magic like level? death, or powerful healing spells like White wind. Red mages are a good mix of both, but lean a little more towards statis effect magic. At the top of the food magical food chain sets the all powerful summoner. (Need i say more)And if you really keep up with your FF, then i have to throw in the Green mage. Green magic is a new aspect of FFXII, it is all the spells such as haste, protect, and slow. Also, FF tactics fans will recognize these few: Time mage, Oracle, Calculator, Geomancer, Elementalist, Illusionist, Animist, and Sage. Magic is my forte!

Well, whan you use a mage you need to spend more gil and keep more phoenix downs to keep your party from dying completly out, but they provide many things someone without brute strength has....on the hand strength may be needed as you run out of MP or HP ( speelcasters have weak gaurd ) you need strength to back up your team and keep from dying.

There's so much more that you can do with magic than you could with melee attacks. With melee you swing/punch/kick/shoot and the bad guy takes regular damage, but with magic you really get to be creative. You can heal yourself or your allies, throw fireballs or lightning arcs at your enemies, or create shields/barriers/transform/etc.

So I guess few if any of you have tried the white mage challenge(FFI)?(This is best done w/ the original NES version) Play through the WHOLE GAME using NOTHING but 4 white mages. EXTREMELY long, but hugely satisfying. 3nodding
