You know all those votes to make automatic guns and guns with multi-rapid fire. Now there has been two stabbings at two different colleges. Now the bombing in Boston at the marathon. What are your views and how do you think this affected voting. Sorry first post on this guild.

There's nothing to apologize for. I selected guns on the poll. I'd say they have the potential to be most deadly overall. Although a stab wound can potentially cause more tissue damage than a bullet can, depending on caliber, you must be close range. Throwing is very uncommon in actual combat. Bombs can cause injury or death to multiple targets but can be unreliable and may likely just cause serious injury. I was pretty tempted to chose bombs though.
I'm familiar with the incidents you mentioned but I haven't recently been following the political side of things. I also don't live in the US but in Canada.

Fully automatic firearms are not legal without a class III license. "Assault weapons" are legal because they look mean and scare people. The most deadly, you mean? Bombs, by far. They have the most potential for destruction on a wholesale level. Knives are on the same level. Knives that look scary ie "Tactical knives" are no more dangerous than kitchen knives. A fear of weapons in life will get you nowhere. Banning guns, knives, etc wont stop the problem of people killing each other. We have been like this since inception and humanity will never rise above a need for weapons, warfare, and tools. People seem to think society will evolve beyond the need for such implements, and the sad fact is we never will.

all we need is a sick, tortuous system to scare people for foolish and horrible things they did....like a mental consequence but in the us, the damn amendments said no odd or strange torture...something similar to that.

Ive had a knife confiscated at an airport in China. I honestly forgot I had it on me. I had a small pocket knife that went through security on a cross Canada flight. The metal detectors just didnt register it. Again I was not aware I had it on me.

As a percentage it may very well be the same but due to the fact that theyre starting to round off at some 1.5 billion inhabitants, they likely have the US beat. Its like that old joke. Which country has the most English speakers? The asnwer being China, simply because theres just so many people. Hmm... Im also not sure what the nature of the bulk of the crimes involved. They just dont seem to like to tell the rest of the world about it.
