The tone of this conversation is just getting better and better! She'd never consider any of them .. the words ring in his head with an angelic chorus for a background .. and she knows who she can count on to fend 'em off? He stands visibly straighter, though he probably don't mean to, and gives her a broad grin. "Right enough! I'd box they ears 'til they howled and run off!" Plainly she's found just the thing to wrap him about her fingers -- however bold he thinks he is, he's not immune to flattery. "And don't go talking of lowering no prices. If it's me brothers, you charge 'em double." He grins again, and gives her a wink. "Reason being, anytime their ugly mugs are about, they'd scowl so it'd scare all your other custom away! Me and First, we're the only ones as has got the good looks, ya see."

"And perhaps I'll lend you the poker to help finish the job, hmm?" There was even more of a grin on her face, "Or maybe I could help. The two of us alone could make a fairly fearsome duo, now couldn't we?" However, she seems to be rather appeased by his offer of doubling prices for his brothers, though laughs it off. "Or I could be nice and still charge regular price, as nice as the money sounds. Though scowling? I deal with that enough on a daily basis from Aelius when he doesn't get his way. Just means I'll have to get some smiling faces in more often, or they could mail order for whatever it is they need. And you two the handsomest of the family? Well, even if they're not even half as good looking, they'd still be fairly decent, I think." Flattery went a long way, she knew. Plus after the two had been so kind to treat her to lunch, and now escorting her around the ball, well, she certainly couldn't have better company.

"Odd that we haven't run in to the other guardsmen and the little king. Though the crowd is more than I expected, I'll admit. Never would have thought there were so many chosen and hedgewitches about in Sunderland." She commented, glancing around curiously for an outfit to match her escort's. "Though it could be a blessing."

Last is not nearly so worried about the lack of First and his younger sibling, especially not with Rosalie responding so well to his masterful courting. He even goes so far as to toss his head and snort another little laugh, keeping her hand tucked firmly in the crook of his elbow. "Aw, don't bother none about them. First's a right sourpuss today. Even with Georgie about, he's just barely civil. Mouthed off to somebody he shouldn't've, and she weren't slow to make him regret it! Now how 'bout we find ourselves some berry tarts?" He grins sidelong at her, ready to move on to better things, and she may be wise enough to know just why he regards berry tarts so highly. The treats are a common fairground snack, sticky and delicious and quite messy, and amongst courting couples part of the fun is often cleaning off one's partner after eating the tarts.
