So there's an app for iOS (and possibly other device systems, but I'm not sure) that lets you stream chunks of episodes of Pokemon from all regions so far... Well except the Orange Islands as its own category. Anyhow! I have been watching it a bunch lately, keeping astride with the anime to see what I think about how it goes these days.

I still balk at lots of the logic/physics employed, but in general they have gotten a lot better about using different moves, strategy, etc. Characters though... Ehh. Ash is still stupid as all hell; Iris is interesting but kind of irritating; Cilan, I GET IT YOU USE COOKING TERMINOLOGY THANKS PLEASE STOP. Geez. Also so far the gym leaders have been a little more like caricatures than characters... Kind of one-track with catch phrases and mannerisms repeated to death (see: "I GET IT...").

ANYWAY, to the whole point of this long-winded explanation! Gonna paste what I said to my friends / podcast folks on the matter.

Oh my God... So I was watching a DP episode of Pokemon... No big, regular formulaic s**t. So Team Rocket attacks the party in their sleep, and when they wake up and see the Snover has been snagged they're still in their sleeping bags.

So TR does their motto, and at the end it shows Ash, Dawn and Brock dressed (with Ash pulling his last glove on). I just lost my s**t. I don't know why, but the idea that Ash & co had enough time and distraction to get dressed through the motto was ******** hilarious to me! It's like, "I ain't got time for this s**t! Are they looking? Nah, still goin' on..." It was just such an abstract thing I never really considered before and I laughed, way harder than I should have.

It also makes me wonder, what do they DO with themselves every other time Team Rocket delivers the motto? Do they stand there awkwardly, or like tapping their feet because here we go again, or what? Usually when they do other s**t or don't pay attention, the show makes a point to show TR getting mad at them. One time, just one time, I wanna see Ash step out from behind a tree and zip up. Something.

I was also watching a BW episode and oh dear lord Bianca. I know she's hyper but at one point she was running away, and (this may indicate I've been watching too much Game Grumps) her legs were all over the place and erratic. All I could say was "Look at her ******** walk cycle!" I lost my s**t then too. It was silly as ********.
