Do any of you enjoy coffee and/or tea? If so, which do you prefer? Do you have a favourite variety? How do you take it? Cream and/or sugar? Black?
As for myself, I love both coffee and tea. I'm not one of those people who needs my coffee in the morning before I can function, though. I actually don't react very well to caffeine, so I have to be careful about how much coffee (and tea) I drink. If I imbibe too much caffeine, I get really jittery, dysphoric, and sometimes even get a splitting headache combined with nausea. Not fun. So despite how much I love coffee and tea, unless it's caffeine-free, I can't have very much of it in a day.
I like various black tea blends the best, though I also enjoy white and green tea. I always drink tea plain. No sugar or cream.
When it comes to coffee, my rule is generally the darker and stronger the better. I love the flavour of coffee and like it strong and dark, though I'll admit I also have a weakness for hazelnut coffee. I used to always drink coffee black, like I drink tea, but more recently I've found that sometimes I do enjoy just a little bit of cream and sugar. I've found that just the right amount of cream and sugar seems to bring out the wonderful coffee flavour that I love some much, as well as taking away a bit of the bitterness.
So, how do the rest of you feel about your hot beverages?

I used to be one of those people who need a coffee fix in the mornings, but one day I had one cup of coffee too many. I'd been chugging caffeine the whole week and the whole thing gave me an increased heart rate and a terrible nausea. Not pretty at all - I seriously thought I was a goner back then.
For now, I've given up coffee. I'm just sticking to tea -any kind of tea - by itself or with cream / sugar, depending on my mood. biggrin

My partner is one of those people who can't even find his glasses if he hasn't had his coffee. It's an enormous blessing that I usually wake up early, before him. I'll be practising or using my computer and just hear him start raging in the bedroom (usually looking for his glasses) and the only thing that brings him down from the Incredible Hulk is having a mug of black coffee shoved into his hands. I've learned by now to just brew a pot when I get up and have it hot and waiting for him.
I'm such a good little housewife. rolleyes

I can't stand coffee. Something about the taste just kills it for me. I do like the smell though. My wife doesn't like it so we never have that, but it is nice to wake up to it when I visit my grandparents.
I like tea in the morning, but I don't need it. I've got a good chai mate that I picked up somewhere. My thermos is pretty awful, so it's just the right temperature by the time I finish morning rounds.

I like coffee and tea, it just depends on my mood. With coffee I need cream and sugar. With tea, it depends.

When I've reached my caffeine cap for the day (which is around 2 cups), I can still get my "fix" from the smell of the endless pots my partner brews throughout the day. I do love a good chai blend. That's pretty much the only sort of tea I'll add anything to. But instead of cream, I use almond or hazelnut milk, and just a tiny bit of sugar. It's delicious.

Lol, I'm a gold member at Starbucks. need I say much else? lol
My favorite coffee is the strong dark roast but only in small quantities. I can't handle too much caffeine before I get jittery/loopy. But I also like the Starbucks blends with the fancy names with syrups and spices and steam milk and whatnot during class brakes or when hanging out with friends. I also love tea! Green tea is my favorite. Also camomile, vanilla rooibos, Seven blossoms, and a few more. I like to add honey. But tea I prefer it mostly during winter, or cold season, while coffee it's usually any time of the year. So I'm an avid coffee/tea drinker yet not to this point 0_0! :

I can't stand coffee, I don't like the smell and detest the taste, I think it runs in the family, neither of my parents drink coffee, and 1 set of grandparents never did either.
I do like tea though, my favorite is Earl Grey, black tea is my preferred kind, brewed strong and hot and plain. I also like chamomile mint tea, it's a good tea right before bedtime.
