Personality: Gracien is a strict man who insists on things being done right. He'll do the dirty work himself if he finds other people incompetent, which he often does, but he always makes sure that they don't know he thinks that, so he'll keep everyone happy. He's an intellectual man that has an air of superiority and will not stand for being disrespected, but his firmness can often be seen as just being protective over his people and his lands.

Biography: Lord Gracien is the Lord of Durinsdale, a small mining community in the North of Variasla which grew into a reasonably large settlement once Gracien took charge. He used to be a miner himself, storing his riches until he had enough to get himself on the map and eventually be accepted as Lord. When he was 17, his close friend died in an accident, leaving their baby daughter orphaned, so as the child's godfather, he adopted her and raised her as his own daughter. Later on he also adopted another child, Damon Bianca.
He hopes to become one of the most powerful Lords through the mining industry, secretly hoping to become King, but he understands that he needs the other areas to contribute with farming and other resources that the mines lack. He is willing to come to an agreement with other Lords, hoping to avoid conflict, but will always fight for the better end of the deal.

Biography: Bernadette was born into a family of servants to Lord Severino; she spent her whole life being told that she was born to serve and nothing else. When she was old enough to scrub the floors, she did, and so she took the same path as her mother had, eventually meeting a young miner who asked for her hand in marriage, which her mother gladly accepted for her, even though Bernadette barely knew him...When first meeting him, she stole a dagger that he had, using it to pretend it's a sword...Now she's waiting to be married, just working like she's expected, but she continues to long for her own dreams of knighthood.

Personality: Weird and hyper, Cedric doesn't seem like one you should trust as a medic...but somehow, this guy's an absolute genius with medicine and surgery, so Gracien puts up with him.

Biography: Cedric was born to a family of fishermen who were unhappy with Lord Severino, so they left the East and moved around for quite some time, so the young boy was raised moving from place to place, never having a fixed home. He began to teach himself medicine on their travels, tricking strangers into giving him money so he could buy books and picking herbs that he saw around while he traveled with his family. Eventually he grew up and settled down in the North, testing out his new surgical techniques on the injured miners that came for his help once they found out there was an affordable doctor around. Cedric perfected his skills and when Lord Gracien heard of him, he hired him right away. Now Cedric lives with Lord Gracien and his adopted daughter, taking care of the others that work for the Lord but was also ordered to look after the miners that cannot afford other doctors.

Personality: Hard-working and kind, though often talks a lot to avoid awkward silences. Gregory appreciates everything that he has, since he's worked for all of it, but this also makes him possessive over what's his, including his fiance.

Biography: Gregory was born to a family of miners. His father was a miner and his grandfather before him, going back to when mining first started. Having been poor most of his life, he learned to treasure everything he earned, and when his father died in an mining accident, when he was about 13, he went to work in the mines in his place in order to provide for his family. He saw Bernadette once when she was gathering who knows what and went by the mines... He "fell in love" with her and watched her every time she came by to gather stuff near the mines he was working at. Eventually he went to her mother, after never having exchanged more than a few words with Bernadette, and asked to marry her, so now he tries to spend time with his fiance, though she doesn't seem to happy about it...
