Alistaire dreaded the idea of returning here, but he couldn't afford to miss his appointment with the Dark Lady. He had not set anything up with her, but he had planned for this time regardless. So he stood outside Nekoda's office, waiting for Neven to leave. As he did this, he began to sing a small tune. A melody he had picked up in his homeland. "The Dornishman's wife was as fair as the sun, and her kisses were warmer than spring. But the Dornishman's blade was made of black steel, and it's kiss was a terrible thing." He sang, employing his natural gift for music. It was one of the talents he had neglected in his years, but a talent none the less. "The Dornishman's wife would sing when she bathed, with a voice that was sweet as a peach. But the Dornishman's blade sings a song of it's own, with a bite cold and sharp as a leech." His voice picked up, ringing out into the office. He hoped Nekoda would hear, she would enjoy the subtlety of the lyrics. "As he lay on the ground, with darkness around, the taste of blood on his tongue. His brothers knelt by him and prayed him a prayer, and he smiled and laughed and he sung. 'My brothers, oh brothers, my days here are done, the Dornishman's taken my life. But what does it matter, for all men must die, and I've tasted the Dornishman's wife!'"
