A good distance behind his brother Silron walked the Whisperer Saagar’Tarang whose usually friendly expression and easy smile had changed into a stern and closed look that pushed away any potential questioners. His eyes searched the crowd, all his brothers and sisters – not by blood but as good as – before they returned to the shape of his uncle who was being led by Silron. He looked pained, almost like a lost child when he saw Eywa and he pushed forward with narrowed eyes as he heard Kerusey’s words, comforted by the fact that one of his daughters was by his side. He’d never been particularly close to Kerusey but they were family, Sata had always seen the older lion as a friendly and charming character and this unexplainable betrayal hurt him deeply. In the crowd he also spotted his son Mokri whose coat, while similar to his mother’s, carried his Uncle Kerusey’s purple color. To the pale purple lion only, Sata’s expression finally changed into a small inviting smile.
-----------------
Hewne followed her father’s steps, walking by his side but just a little behind him. She could tell something serious was going on and her father wasn't telling her anything. It seemed something was wrong with a family member and judging by the way her father and uncle were looking at Kerusey, her granduncle had probably had played a part in it. The young adult was happy to see her brother Mokri in the crowd. She didn’t really know how to talk to her father right now, someone who was usually so cheerful and open but now looked almost menacing. It was a little scary, actually, so she was immensily relieved when Sata sent a little smile in Mokri’s way.

Kaneon had gathered like the rest, but Satomi's unhappiness previously had given him a vague insight into events that were not widely known. Granted, he certainly didn't suspect the truth of the matter. However, the general unease and tension had made the gentle, soft-spoken male very on edge. He had chosen a seat in the middle of the crowd, carefully not looking to see if Satomi had arrived, or where she might have chosen to sit. It wasn't proper, after all.
The first figure in those approaching that caught his attention was Eywa. Rather than reassure him, seeing her here only made him feel more uneasy. Something was very wrong, and though silence fell, he could sense others around him shifting anxiously. But all that was forgotten as he realized who was being escorted into their midst.
Kerusey.
Kaneon had taken great pains to avoid that lion, so that he could keep his feelings to himself. So that he wouldn't reveal that Satomi had spoken to him about her heartbreak. But here, in this charged atmosphere, with the dark male's snarling, hateful face being marched towards them all, the ex-rogue could not keep his feelings from showing. The fur along his spine rose in sudden fury, and every hair of his mane stood on end. He was nearly unaware that his ears had pinned and a soft snarl had escaped him, except that others were moving out of his way as he stalked to the front of the crowd.
Whatever that villain had done, he would pay! This entire sentiment bristled through him for half a dozen heartbeats before he froze, eyes going wide. Oh please, please don't let him have harmed Satomi! All the fluff went out of his fur, and the exposed skin around his eyes, nose, and lips went deathly pale. He clearly was being brought before them for justice. Oh, what had he done?!

A face of gentle friendly welcome and love was somber and troubled.
She took the actions of her mate clearly upon herself, she hadnt done enough to heal his pained soul. She walked not to far behind the group leading him, her eyes down cast as her body simply showed signs of dismay and a total loss of thought.
Kerusey had finally done what she had always feared. But she had kept silent, hoping, praying that she could fix this black hearted lions wounds, to heal him and show him the happiness of the pride once more.
But it was more than she could do.
She saw his hammock, it was something they had shared. It didnt flood her with happy memories, moreso of cold nights and bristled rage, she didnt look at it, she didnt look at him, instead she made her way towards the side of the gathering, almost isolated from the group as she could be without leaving completely.
She had no words, no explanation of how she failed. She simply felt as if she had not only failed the lion she had taken as a mate, but her king, her dearest friend.
She hung her head.
Ysander stood close to her goddess, her expression masked completely as she feared for her fathers life, but if you glanced at the lioness her expression was cool and composed.
Some whispered of ice in her veins but those who actually knew the young royal knew that there was something much more loving and passionate within her. But today, she was completely guarded, she nosed her goddesses shoulder gently before she glanced out over the land, her home had been attacked from within, that was something that was simply not acceptable!
Her ears flicked back slightly as her thoughts turned slightly darker and she instantly regretted them, it was not in her teachings to be violent, but to accept and try and help as best she could...but today, she simply feared.

His ears pricked as he watched. What was going on...? Something had certainly happened, and Kerusey was involved. Txumpay could only frown as he leaned closer to his brother. "Well, SOMETHING happened... And from the looks of it... The king's brother was involved.."
His attention turned to Eywa, watching her as she moved. Slowly, his eyes moved before they landed on Kaneon, one of the pride's Crafters. He couldn't take it any longer and looked to Saagar and Silron. "What's happened? Everyone's sure it's to do with the queen, but please... Tell us what's happened!" He didn't care at the moment what solemn silence he was breaking, he wanted... No, he NEEDED to know. Everyone did. "Is the queen alright, her cubs? The king?"

Relief flooded through Kaneon as Satomi came into sight. He took two steps towards here before he could stop himself. His place was not yet beside her. Perhaps someday, if he earned it, but not yet. He also noticed she was not looking for him. His heart twisted with anxious agony. What if... what if he was wrong? Much muted and wilted now, the complete opposite from the face he's first met the accused with, he sat down and bowed his head, as if a great weight were on his shoulders. Her despairing expression, combined with his own concern and doubt, combined to bring him to a very low point. Such drastic swings of emotion were not usually his way, so that he felt exhausted before he even knew what had gone wrong. He did not even swing his head as someone spoke up, asking the questions they all were frantic to know the answers to.
Mokri was stunned by the procession that appeared. Eywa, as well as members of his own family. He stared at Kerusey without comprehension, his own face sobering as his eyes fell on his sister and father. The tension level had tripled, and even his father's tense smile was hardly enough to reassure the young purple male. What was going on? Mouth shut, eyes wide, and mind open, he sat still as a stone, ready to memorize the words spoken, the expressions on muzzles, the tones of voices, and the actions that spoke so much louder than words. All hope of a joyous occasion died as he prepared himself for recording what must be history.

Clermeillie-Pie had been late to the gathering as she had been out hunting not long before it and had refused to come without washing the blood out of her blue fur. It was just a matter of pride that she did not want to appear at what was obviously an important meeting without being clean. Maybe it should not have bothered her so much to think on it, but it was her husband's family that ruled the pride. From what she had heard so far, his family was in trouble right now, but rumor did not give definite details on whom or what. The pale lioness could just be glad it was not her mate or her cubs that were involved, as she would have been the first to know such things.
Clerm slipped quietly into the somber meeting place and took her place next to her mate. She spared a look at each of her children, giving a soft smile as they were her pride and joy. Her four by her mate and her two others from before. She did not see the older two right away, but it was their way to lurk in the back at such gatherings. She could not really blame them as she preferred that as well, but she felt she should be beside Sata no matter where he was in the crowd. It was just... where she wanted to be.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pikelis settled onto her lioness's back as Clerm walked into the meeting. The bird would have very little to do with anything that was going on, of that she was certain, but she was there to support her lioness and make sure a certain bird she knew stayed out of trouble. The bright bird knew her mate would likely open his big beak and get into trouble if she wasn't there to distract him. Her work was never done when it came to keeping peace with him, but eh, she liked the job.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Coel had also been a bit late to the gathering, mostly because he had had his nose in his work. The lion had been lost in his crafting and completely oblivious to any rumors about what was happening in the pride. He just did not have time to talk to most of the pride, so he would not have known what rumors were going around. His work was too important to get distracted by other things. He had been a little disappointed when his brother chased him out of his workspace and to the meeting.
The blue lion figured this must be very important if everyone was being asked to gather and his brother chased him away from his work for it. He did wonder a bit about what it might be about, but at the same time his mind was still on his current project. Coel was still mentally mapping out the bead strands and feather mane decorations he wanted to make for certain members of the pride. His mind rarely stayed off his work for long, which distracted him from everything going on around him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sylwanin was one of the first into the meeting area, but she kept off to the side, waiting. She had not heard anything from either of her brothers in far too long. That was not at all normal. Kerusy usually had something to say to her about how their brother was not doing a good job letting all these rogue blooded new members in, and Eytucan made time to speak with her even with the pride he had to run. She knew he was quite happy to have her back home, and loved the time he made to talk to her.
Sylwanin was all the more worried about not hearing from Eytucan because of how much she enjoyed speaking to him. She watched all the others come in, noticed all the nervousness of the members of the pride and the clueless looks even of her other family members, except Silron. He seemed to know what was going on as he arrived with Kerusey and others. He heart sank when she saw her dark coated brother with his purple markings escorted in. What had he done? He had to have done something. The news of Kerusey attacking Eytucan and trying to kill him made Sylwanin feel very cold inside. How could he?
That he would betray their family and their pride like this, no matter his opinions of their brother's rule, it was unthinkable. She sighed and the dark female stepped forward and went past her damned brother. "Kerusey, how could you? I thought you were better than this, apparently I thought too highly of you." It might have been a little spiteful to say, but she had said it. She moved on and took up a position beside Kerusey's mate, giving the female a nuzzle of comfort. "I am sorry for my brother." She would apologize to Eytucan's mate about their brother later. For now, she thought it best to make Kerusey's mate realize it was not her fault.
I am a newbie
A light brown Wahlberg's Eagle was simply passing on through. Just looking for some prey as he traveled on by, just trying to live his life just like everyone else did. But the more and more he traveled into this landscape with trees and vines, the less little prey he seemed to find. There seemed to be a large trafficking of large predators in the area; he could see in the claw marks of them in the barks of the trees he landed in to rest. Even still, it seemed that he had yet to come face to face with any of these lions, even with their supposed large numbers until...
His keen eyes spotted some sort of traffic up ahead. What was this that they were all up to? Some were already arranged in a group, while a few stragglers seemed to still be approaching from all sides, in the trees, mostly. Whatever they were up to, it was a pride thing, something he had little to no knowledge of. The large, colorful creatures continued to approach each other and gossip about whatever, something he wasn't paying much attention to. Lions had nothing to do with his life, so instead he returned to doing what he needed to do; scan the forest floor for any signs of little lives.
I am a newbie
"Oh, what's this over here?" the gnat mused, buzzing over to a large crowd of lions. Being so itty-bitty and rather just a mere annoyance to a lion or few, the gnat had little trouble sneaking along to see what was happening. Oh, he knew of some of the events; so-and-so queen had a litter. He supposed that was grand news but, being a wee little bug, didn't find it all to relevant to him.
Fluttering over to a nearby rock, he perked, peering out his bug eyes at the large felines. He was quite content on just sitting there all day; however, a mere five seconds later, a particular delicacy to his species caught his eye. With his very short attention span never failing, the gnat soon dismissed the gathering, heading over to a rather fresh pile of... well, to each his own.
