Colonel was out patrolling the area. So many new shops and houses were being built of late. His herd alone had grown quite large. Some of the herd were talking of leaving their home as it was getting too crowded. He sighed. He'd only leave if he had some to be with, but that seemed to be not likely. He smiled and nodded to everyone he knew. As the crowd parted he saw a beautiful woman. She was in a flowing dress. He had not seen such a dress on anyone. It only enhanced her beauty. He walked up to her and smiled. "Hello my Lady!"

**As a note too, her name will be Roserie Winter for this RP : P since winter is like her maiden name and Last is going to be the name she gets when she meets the guy I have in mind xD**
Roserie Winter was looking into the new shop window. She had never seen a shop with so many tiny knick knacks before and was facinated by the shop display. Coming from a wealthy family, she saw plenty of things... Just not thing as homely and inviting as these. As she was staring and taking it all in, she heard a voice come from beside her. She looked in response and saw a rather handsome looking stallion. She smiled quietly, just like her mother had always taught her.
"Why hello there sir."
She curtsied nice and small, bowing her head quickly.
**And I just thought if how Southern she seems right there, LOL!**
He held out his arm for her to take and smiled. "Shall we then?" He started to walk.

Roserie lightly took his arm, wrapping hers around his as gently as she could. Her mother had taught her everything she needed to know about how to be a polite gentile lady on a walk with a handsome gentleman. She hadn't had much practice except for with her father, so this was her first time getting to do it for real. The thought made her blush again.
"Do you know this place well?"
She asked him, trying to sound as polite as she could. Always having been taught that digging into another's life was not something a lady did. She couldn't help her curiosity, however. She kept her eyes diverted, watching the shops. She didn't want him to see that she was slightly embarrassed to ask the question. She knew if her mother had known about, she too would have been embarrassed of her daughter.
Colonel smiled and laid his hand gently over hers. "Yes I do. I am currently on patrol for The Order. We are all knights. It is a very busy place." He stopped at a shop and looked at the wares.

Roserie looked at the stallion in a bit of wonder.
"You must be very busy then. I would hate to take up too much of your time."
She looked into the shop with him.
"Is it difficult to keep so many Mearh safe? I mean... I've met others who protect Mearh, but I was never allowed to ask questions. Children are to mind their manners, after all."
Colonel smiled. "It can be busy. No you are not taking too much of my time." He picked up a ribbon and debated buying it for her. "It can be, but we do our best. No you may ask me whatever you like."

Roserie smiled at the kind handsome stallion. She decided that she really liked him. He knew how to talk to a lady. She looked at the ribbons he was also looking at. There were so many different colors and styles. She was surprised as to how many colors she didn't have at home herself.
"Oh, good! I would hate if you had better things to do. And soilders must always do their best."
Roserie looked at him.
"My father had been a soilder once... He doesn't like to talk about it though. One of the reasons that I've never been able to ask questions when someone comes to the house."
Roserie looked a little sullen, then realizing, she perked right back up. Not wanting to put the gentleman into a sour mood.
Colonel smiled and bought a blue ribbon. "A gift for you my Lady." He handed it to her. "I can understand your father's point of view. If he was at war. He may have very distressing memories. That is why he doesn't like to speak of it." He smiled and patted her hand. "Maybe one day he will open up to you about it."

Roserie looked at the beautiful blue ribbon he had handed her. Such a gentleman... She couldn't help but to blush a little at the gift. It was rather exciting for her. She had never recieved a gift from a gentleman before.
"Thank you very much sir."
She smiled happily at him.
"And it's such a pretty color blue. One I've never seen before."
She frowned a bit at the mention of her father.
"Yes, I can understand how that might be. Though I don't understand why that should stop others from talking about it... Or answering questions about it."
She looked a bit startled as she realized what she had said, blushing a bit when she realized how rude she had sounded. Bowing a bit as she faced him.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to let such rude words escape my lips."
"You are quite welcome my Lady!" He smiled He patted her shoulder. "I quite understand. You are frustrated. Maybe you can ask me the questions you wish to ask your father. It might help you understand. I know much about the previous wars and such."
