After the incident that rumbled the earth, Yasashii finally managed to see her younger sister. As Sabitsuki had said to Yuuka, Yasashii had been ill, perhaps also brought by the rumbles and the malevolent energy released by the opening of Sealed Chamber, but when her little sister Yasashii made her tell her all the story, feeling better than she had in a long while.
The oni listened and there was something that reminded her of another occurrence not long before the incident. It was that demon again, the red winged on that had hurt her little Sabitsuki so long ago. In a flurry of emotional draw, Yasashii told Sabi she had to go mine for some ore and materials for her forge, and that she would return in a day or two, when she really headed to the shrine that was past the blackened water.
It was odd. Sabitsuki's first story had told her the shrine was a dark place, but now, it was decorated by the red and yellow line of paper lanterns. The oil lamp she carried was a bit on the useless side. The oni made her way over the bridge and to the shrine's door, extinguishing the lamp and setting it down outside before heading inside.
Yasashii knee exactly what she was going to do: Rip the wings off that damn demon. She was ready for whatever confronted her, or so she told herself, odds weren't in her favor that night.
Inside, to the sound of small talk from behind some door, she called out,"COME OUT TWERP. I AM HERE FOR SABITSUKI KAIBUTSU!" From the back room, where previously there had been light chatter came a blonde figure, with a confused look on her face. "Sabitsuki?... I thought she would come and visit me herself." Since she was home she wore no cloak. Her wings where tucked in neatly and the tattoos on her left arm exposed. Even now the usually pressing aura of ill will wasn't so pressing; she was relaxed as she came out to meet her vexed and angry guest. "I should have known no one would be visiting something like me- WAH!" Yasashii took her by the front of the shirt picking her up off the floor to hold their faces up to each other. "You hurt my little sister. That, I won't forgive, you... you abomination of nature." Yasashii snarled,"You picked the wrong little girl to harass. There is an oni behind that girl, and I'll make sure you never forget that!"
Like that, a crushing blow fell across Livid's face, nailing her into the floor of her shrine. The demon was desoriented, her mind was still piecing things together. This was Sabitsuki's sister? They weren't even the same species! Then there was the fact she had just gotten attacked. The dilema was that maybe she should hit back, and attack equally, but if this really was Sabitsuki's sister... wouldn't that hurt the young youkai?
Livid was still pondering when Yasahii kicked her ribs with another crushing blow. The oni was as powerful as expected from her kind, and Livid was as sturdy as expected from a demon. Yasashii scooped her up, and held her in a headlock, slowly chocking her, not wanting to kill her just yet. Livid tried to stretch her wings to manouver out of the grip but she couldn't. She was swung towards one of the main aisle pillars, impacting it hard.
Yasashii walked to pick her up again holding her against the pillar. Livid could see Fuzen past her shoulder, reading her pitchfork, "Wait--... No... Don't Master--!"
The prongs impaled into Yasashii's shoulder, causing a screech of pain, and the release of Livid. Fuzen giggled and swung around flinging Yasashii cross the shrine into one of the darker portions. "Izangi's Lament~Fake Love."
Even in her waving of consciousness, Livid could see the smaller frame Fuzen took. So the oni was thinking of her sister? Livid reached out; she wouldn't, no, she couldn't have one of the few kind images in her existance defile like this. No one knew what Fuzen would do when she mimicked someone just to lenghten her game's time.
But by the time Katrina managed to sit, Yasashii was being flung to the side, sliding into a crash, leaving a trail of blood from her deep shoulder wound. Finding her voice she called out," Master! Stop! It's fine! Let her be! Let-Let her be!" "Really? Now, I can't stand and watch you be beaten." Fuzen's body returned back to normal as she stepped into Katrina's sight. The young demon nodded feverishly, earning a sigh from Fuzen."Fair enough, I suppose..." She retreated and disappeared.
Katrina was barely standing when she was plowed by Yasashii's full body tackle, breaking them right through a wall and onto the rock floor of the underground. Straddling Katrina, Yasashii begun to viciously attack her. She took The demon by the front of the shirt and was about to continue when a third voice interupted the silent torture.
"Ibara! Do something, She won't fight back!"
Another set of arms locked under Yasashii's, and in a rash move swung over head and into the floor. It may have been a good plan, but that drove all of them into the floor. Katrina at this point couldn't move, but Yochi sat her up and she could once more see the show that played out.
"Yasashii stop it!" "Get off me! I am going to kill her for how she hurt Sabitsuki!" "If you would stop and listen!"
Ibara had her arms hooked under Yasashii's, holding the other oni back through some serious struggle. Yochi stood and picked up three minerals, aiming, she shot them right through Yasashii, and concequently, Ibara.
The two fell apart, clenching their wounds seperately bu in equal pain. Katrina watched, shocked at how heartless Yochi had been to hurt Ibara so ... purposely. But then again who was she to talk about morals? Yochi left her sid and went to Yasashii, crouching down infront of her. "The demon here didn't do much to your sister. You sister is alive and well right? So how about you go away, before I drive one of these rocks through your forehead, sweetie~?" Yochi grinned wildly holding up a fourth rock. As Yasashii laid there, glaring spitefully at the mole, she was left there with the demon and other oni who silently writhed in her pain. "I'm going home, this ruined my good mood."
Katrina stood, forgoing any of her pain to go to the two oni. "Please let me help you," the demon knelt down by her,"Your sister will be worried if you go back covered in blood." Yasashii couldn't protest as Livid helped her up and back into the shrine; forgetting Ibara behind.
She took the oni to her room and treated her wounds. Now calm again, it was easier to see her usual cold personality as she told Yasashii all of her story and how she met Sabitsuki. The oni listened patiently, apologizing for her behavior now and again. Katrina dismissed it, and told her not to come back to her shrine to cause trouble again, or else, next time she would fight back.
That done, Yasashii took her leave, hurrying to get away from the growing energy that prodded at her psyche, wishing to return to her home and speak to Sabitsuki about this odd shrine maiden.
As Livid saw her off, a figure caught her eye. Ibara was still there in the floor, coughing up some blood as the oni struggle to her knees. "You are one stubborn b*****d. You should roll over and die."
And then she went inside to have tea with Fuzen.

Today was the day. Sabitsuki had been putting this off for a while - perhaps for too long. After the Incident on the mountain, Sabitsuki returned from Yuuka's home to the Underground. The journey home had been long, and by the time she reached her small, two-story house in the alleys of the Capital, the little Mirror Youkai was exhausted.
The next few days, Sabitsuki kept to herself and recovered from her ordeal. She still hadn't told anyone about the strange presence that had possessed her - not even her sister. There were still some things in Gensokyo that weren't common. People would probably say she was crazy, or at the very least, suspect her of lying. Most Youkai tended to shy away from her already; she didn't need to give them another reason.
Yesterday, Big Sis came home with mysterious wounds after claiming to go on a short mining expedition. This, obviously, didn't add up: Yasashii was skilled in her profession, and wouldn't let herself get hurt so carelessly. Aside from that, these wounds weren't anything one would normally receive while mining... Naturally, Sabitsuki inquired about them, and when Yasashii resisted, the Mirror Youkai persisted. Eventually, the Oni retold her story of how she visited Mara's shrine and sought to pick a fight with the "dark shrine maiden" within. Sabitsuki scolded her big sister for pursuing such a foolish vendetta, and decided to make a trip to the shrine herself in the morning to apologize for her sister's actions. That wasn't the only reason, however; Sabitsuki had promised to the Demon of the shrine that she would visit her, but had put it off due to fatigue. But now, morning had come, and it was time to make good on her promise.
She already knew the way, having chased the Demon to the shrine the day they met. The path was emblazoned into her mind, and felt second nature to her, despite only "visiting" once before. Sabitsuki quickly traversed the backstreets guided by the light of her lantern, past the city's outskirts and made her way across the bridge and the water it spanned. A short walk beyond and Sabitsuki stood at the shrine's entrance, her eyes gazing about the remodeled building, and her mouth agape in hushed awe. The building had changed much since the last time she saw it. Rows of paper lanterns sought to fight the encompassing darkness that seemed to flood the shrine, though they gave the Mirror Youkai little comfort, for she knew full well what possibly lay within.
Pride, Sloth, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Lust and Gluttony... Sabitsuki wondered if "deception" might fit amongst their ranks. The last time she met the Demon, she had been broken, and fatigued, having just lost her "master" to the hands of one whom may have possibly destroyed her. But since then, Katrina would have had time to recuperate and regain her energy. The question was, where would that energy be placed? Would she attempt to seek revenge on the one who got her master captured? Or would she be legitimately happy to see Sabitsuki?
Well, standing around outside wasn't going to answer any questions. More importantly, Sabitsuki had made a promise. Even if it lead to her death, she would intend to keep it.
Sabitsuki took a few steps closer, closing in on the shrine's door. Her sender fingers grasped the wooden frame and slowly slid it aside, just wide enough for her to peek inside. It was still dark inside, though not as dark as before. "He...H-Hello...?" She slid the door open more and stepped inside, holding her lantern out before her to illuminate the shadows within. "Hello, is... is a-anyone here...? ...M..Miss Katrina...?"

Sabitsuki had some bad timing. Katrina wasn't home that day, as her master had sent her off in a few errands. That's right. The demon of temptation, Fuzen-mara, was still alive in the depths of hell.
She had once more been vanished to the depths of her shrine with a small spell on her chains to keep her from leaving: yet another sealing spell she could easily loophole. Tebiki was outraged, but not as much as she usually would be, since, in all, Fuzen didn't wish to cause to trouble to the wrong people. Since then, the demon of temptation had turned to enjoy her newly remodeled home in quiet joy.
In all the time she hadn't seen any visitors (aside from Yochi and Ibara) but today, the young mirror youkai from that day in Sealed Chamber called out, looking for her dear servant. That was an odd instance!
Fuzen had been in Katrina's room, enjoying one of the fruits the demon had there, and she was mid an apple when the hesitant voice broke the silence. She hadn't been planning anything but it would be fun wouldn't it?
She stood and headed out. By the time she crossed the door she had copied her dear Katrina by means of her spellcard. "A visitor...?" Her eyes found the young youkai's, trying to remember her name,"Sabitsuki...? What could you be doing here?"
She gave a small frown, this time real, as she crossed her arms,"Your sister caused a mess in my shrine. I am not done yet repairing the hole she made in the side wall."

Sabitsuki's warm smile beamed, her face aglow from the lantern's flame at the sight of Katrina's visage. She tilted her head as the Demon inquired of her presence, responding, "D..Don't you remember, Miss Katrina? I promised th-that I would... come and visit you here. U-Unless you...don't want to see me..."
As Katrina spoke of her sister, Sabitsuki frowned as well. She clasped both hands around the lantern's handle and lowered it, bowing her head in apology. "I-I'm sorry, for the trouble Sis caused... When I told her my story, I didn't realize h-how...irrationally she would react." She bowed further down, using the lantern braced between her hands and the ground to actually hold herself up. "P-Please forgive my sister for her actions, Miss Katrina! She didn't know w-what she was doing... She was a--...angry, a-and just wanted to protect me..."
Sabitsuki straightened herself, though still holding the lantern with both hands in front of her hips. "Um... I don't know what I can offer to.. to make things right, b-but I hope you can forgive us?" She smiled again, in the childlike belief that somehow it would be enough to make everything okay. "...May I c.. come in? Please?"

"Mh... Ah that's right. I never thought you would hold good to that promise," To Fuzen it was easy to be Katrina. She had created her, or at least made her wha she was today. She snickered, "No smart soul would come here willingly after all~"
She watched Sabituski bow and apologize in her cute mannerism. It was quite adorable, "There is no helping it I suppose. It seems misunderstandings just plague my life. That is how I ended up here." Wrath And did Fuzen know it! Katrina's misunderstanding of the prize of shelter, of how misunderstood she was herself, it had all piled up and exploded into a perfect bloom in Fuzen's bloodied grip. Tragic, yet beautiful in the higher demon's eyes.
"Oh I can think of a few ways for you to repay me~ Ufuufufu~~" Lust She snickered looking at Sabitsuki with a sly grin, before quickly saying,"Come on in, but If there is a draft in here, blame the hole in the wall~" The visage of Katrina turned to lead the way down the main hall, to where the altar with the black flowers that bloomed now with a red tint inside their petals; no doubt, a new source of energy had cause them to bloom in an even more brigthly insidious manner.
"Do you like the remodelations of the shrine? I worked on it myself." Pride. Fuzen kept the careful tally, if she displayed some form of what her servant did since her transformation, it would be much easier to make her game last longer.

"I-I do, Miss Katrina... I can see you've put a lot of effort into it." Sabitsuki replied with a smile as she followed Katrina further into the shrine. The smile was a bit forced, however; in truth, she was confused by the different comments Katrina had made. Each one seemed to carry a different intent behind it, some less...pleasing to think about than others, but for now, Sabitsuki ignored it and proceeded to approach the bouquet of black flowers. They gave off a strange feeling, and seemed to be in full bloom despite having no access to sunlight at all.
"H...How have you been, Miss Katrina? I hope you've had time to heal since... y-you know..." She glanced sideways to the Demon, setting her lantern down beside the altar. From this position, its glow illuminated the very center of the room, though the darkness that gathered at the walls still loomed menacingly.
"U-Um...I'm not really sure how I-I should be acting right now..." Sabitsuki said hesitantly, her slender fingers nervously smoothing out the wrinkles in her dress. "I d..don't know how you feel about me, Miss Katrina. I-I mean, it was because of me that... M-Miss Fuzen was...." She trailed off, looking towards the side, unable to meet Katrina's eyes.

Fuzen looked as Sabitsuki peered at the flowers her dear Katrina over watched. The new red taint to them was quite bright, and it made her see how beautiful these flowers where in their twisted way. "There flowers bloom using the malevolent and ill intents of live beings. You can understand by they are in full bloom here in the underground... more specifically this shrine...."
"Oh I have been well, the youkai blood makes healing much simpler," Katrina was partially facing the altar as the lantern threw a shadow past the other half of her body, her wings where not really visible with how they were neatly tucked, despite lacking the heavy cloak she usually wore. With a smile unlike her usual, she looked upon the wall with the engravings, with a distant look, "It is hard to imagine not living with it."
There was something about her dazed look, as if the wall held some secret grim joke only she could indulge in. As Sabitsuki spoke again, she turned to the young mirror youkai."How I feel about you?" her smiled changed a bit, though it was though to discern if it was in a good or bad way, she turned and closed the gal a bit between the mirror youkai and herself. Then...
She smiled. Warmly.
Katrina leaned a bit foward to be face to face with Sabitsuki, "I am in good terms with you I'd hope. You are of the few people who have shown any amount of kindness to me. Even if you were doing something that hurt me in the end... It was probably one of the fondest memories I have." At the las words she put a hand over her heart with her... oddly out of place warm smile.
.... Truly, Fuzen was just retelling what Livid had conveyed to her once the demon returned to the shrine. It was nothing but the truth!... Even if Katrina hadn't said it with that smile only Fuzen was capable of. That smile that drew you to believe you were the center of the universe, and that only you mattered at the moment.

Sabitsuki nodded cautiously as Katrina explained the inherently dark nature of the flowers. She knew about the troubling auras that the demon could produce - speaking of which, they didn't seem quite so suppressive now. Had her power diminished? Or is she simply...calm?
Distracted by the lingering thought, Sabitsuki failed to notice Katrina close the gap between them. She squeaked, a bit shocked, when she finally noticed their proximity, and the oddly...charming smile the Demon wore. Something about it was familiar, yet alien as well. Maybe it was because she had never seen Katrina smile before?
As the Demon leaned forward, Sabitsuki took a hesitant step backwards, looking to the side; a slight blush lit up her cheeks. "F-F-Fondest? B..but..." She stammered, unable to find the correct words. "I-I mean, yes, th-there is nothing bad between us!" Finally able to meet Katrina's eyes, Sabitsuki showed her a smile of her own in return. "I am glad th..that we are..." Dare she say it? "...Friends? I-I mean...I would...very much like to be your friend, Miss Katrina." Her fingers tightened around a fold in her dress. "I think you are a nice person... D-Deep down, beneath everything... Th..That's why I came here, more than to apologize. I want to be friends with you."

She smiled again leaning back with the smallest ruffle of the demonic wings. Fuzen was having an easy time with this, the small mirror youkai was so pure and innocent. So she decided to be a bit daring.
Boldly she took Sabi's hand, and held it between the chilled grip of both her hands. "Yes. Thank you very much for believing in me; even if they may be no hope, just the fact of having someone think I am worth some amount of time..." The demon looked in Sabitsuki's eyes, conveying the same smile. Fuzen had no idea the young youkai had picked up on her distinct lack of energy that only the sinful youkai possessed, and now, she was adding the fact her skin was ice cold. Livid, being a live being, had warmth to her body, but Fuzen didn't and couldn't hide it beneath her illusions at all. You are welcomed to my Shrine whenever you wish to come, the doors will always be open, so do not hesitate," She said, still holding onto Sabitsuki's hand, pulling a bit closer now that she had her in her grip," It will be refreshing to have a visitor who actually enjoys being here."
It seemed there was no one to stop her game. Here in the depths of hell, a scream or two where easily ignored.

"Hhy--!!"
Sabitsuki gasped as 'Katrina' grasped her hand and pulled her closer. First came embarrassment; the Mirror Youkai could feel a distinct warmth wash across her body in response. Then, came the unsettling chill from the Demon's fingers; Sabitsuki had touched Katrina's hand in the cave. It had been warm, like a normal person's. Lastly, there was...nothing. The touch of Katrina's cold skin sent a different kind of chill down Sabitsuki's spine, once she could see clearly in the darkness. There was no warmth in her heart, no ember, no single trace of humanity left. It was all consumed by a blackness, an all-encompassing mixture of bitterly cold darkness and an alluring, velvety crimson.
Her eyes went wide with surprise and confusion. Sabistuki tried to wrest her hand from 'Katrina's grasp, trying to pull away from the imposter. "W-What--! Y-Y-You--! You're not--!!" She put her other hand against the Demon's chest, pushing away in an attempt to escape, earning yet another chill beneath her fingertips. Even still, this icy sensation was familiar as well, a sensation that she had felt before, and had wished to feel again.
Sabitsuki calmed herself with a few shallow breaths, staring into the imposter's eyes with a dangerous mixture of curiosity and fear. "Wh...Who...? ...M-Miss... Miss Fuzen..?!" There was a small excitement in her voice. If this really was the Temptress, then that means she was allowed to survive, and Katrina would be happy! But...if this really was the Temptress, then....!

As Sabitsuki struggled, the grip didn't falter, in fact it got sweetly tigther, even when the mirror Youkai tried to push away. She took the other hand, holding Sabi at arms lenght by the wrists as her shape changed again to her real apperance, all while giggling. "I had forgotten how sharp you are, little mirror, I am sure Katrina will be happy to see you here," it had been such a quick transition, and Fuzen was so amused by Sabitsuki ending her game that it was uncharacteristic of her.
The temptress was smiling warmly, as she had been despite her previous charade. Her grip on Sabitsuki was cold as usual, but tender, it wasn't the opressing and painful hold one would expect of a demon intent on keeping her 'victim' close. Mara was relaxed and calm like she always was unless faced by a certain shepard. "I did not think I would see you again~ I never would have thought you would come to my shrine," She snickered lightly,"I Specially did not expect you or anyone to come and visit dear Katrina. She could use the company, she can be such a grumpy little girl at times."
All the time Fuzen did not let go, and she actually got a step closer, as if she was some intimate friend of Sabitsuki, smiling in her usual way.

"M-Miss Fuzen...!" Sabitsuki stood rooted to the spot, afraid, but not wanting to move away, either. "Wh...why are you here? The Shepard--" The tension of Sabitsuki's arms lessened as she stood more at ease. She repositioned her hands to grasp at Fuzen's fingers, essentially holding the Temptress's hands equally. "I-I thought you had been t..t-taken away! I-I saw you vanish..!"
Sabitsuki was caught in a state of awe and relief. She had hoped to see Fuzen alive and well, but at the same time, didn't hold very high hopes in the matter. She had been unsure what the Shepard had intended to do with the Temptress, and as such, had no clear idea for her future. But if she was here, then Katrina must surely be pleased - after all, it was the Demon herself who mentioned that all she wanted was her master.
"I...I came to see Miss Katrina because I promised I would." She thought for a moment, a blush erupting further on her cheeks. The realization that she had just confessed her true intentions to Fuzen, and not Katrina, had just sunk in. "Th-Th-Though...I-I guess you al...already know th-that..." She looked up into the Temptress's eyes, a small hope gleaming within their reflective silvery sheen. "When...when will Miss Katrina return? I'd like to...t-to see her, if I could..."

"Yes, I was released," Fuzen giggled, smiling as Sabitsuki took her hands much more at ease,"There is yet another seal on me, I am not meant to be able to leave the Underground... but those are myths Higan holds~" She shook her head with an arrogant grin. "They saw no other way to restrain me, So I was allowed to stay in my first prison... or well, my second."
She put a hand on Sabitsuki's cheek,"You look so red, are you well?" Her faked concern seeme real,"It shouldn't be long before dear Katrina returns home. She went to get some things to fix the shrine after the last battle... Blood is so troublesome to get out of wooden floor~" As if it was but a juice stain, she waved to the side where a dragged-trail of blood still was visible. It was obvious someone had tried to unsuccessfully scrub it out of the wood. Maybe Sabitsuki could figure out it was her sister's blood.
"Katrina did no let me defend her when the oni showed up, She told me to stay out," she shrugged, with a small frown, releasing Sabitsuki's hands, and smiling again she took the mirror youkai into an embrace,"I am happy to see someone show some sort of concern for Katrina."
Maybe she was just playing but her cold embrace was still warm.

"So, you are forced to...to stay here?" Sabitsuki said, leaning into the hand on her cheek. "B-But, that's wonderful! That means you'll be here for Miss Katrina..! She must be so happy..."
The Mirror Youkai looked to the other side of the room, where Fuzen had motioned so nonchalantly. On the floor, vaguely illuminated by the small light sources in the room, was the unmistakable stains of blood long dried, having seeped into the pores of the wooden floor. Her stomach made a small lurch as she came to realize that this blood probably once belonged to Yasashii.
"Miss Katrina... wouldn't let you defend her from Sis..? Wh..Why would she do that? Sis told me that they had struggled, but she didn't mention how badly they had injured each oth--EE!!" She squeaked again as Fuzen embraced her. Her heart skipped a beat as she was pulled face-first into the Temptress' chest, thanks to their difference in height. The icy sting of the demon's body was somehow lessened by the warmth of her-- No, no, that isn't true. Sabitsuki knew the warmth was fake, a facade designed to lure her prey into submission. But even still, she didn't want to leave Fuzen's arms just yet. The young Mirror let out a soft sigh, allowing her searching hands to find the demon's hips, returning her embrace.
"O-Of course I sh..show concern... M-Miss Katrina is a.. a nice person..." She had turned her head slightly to expose her mouth, now resting her temple against the softness of Fuzen's breast. "I-I don't care if she's a Demon... even Demons can be good..."

Fuzen smiled down at Sabitsuki,"Oh no! Katrina didn't do so much as touch your sister. I was the one that intervened for five seconds and then Miss Youji and Miss Hinarasu where the ones who stopped her attack. From what Katrina told me, Miss Hinarasu tried to restrain your sister, while Miss Youji simply impaled her with rocks; Katrina didn't lay a finger on Yasashii, in fact, she tended to the oni's wound afterwards."
Fuzen's smile widened a bit as Sabitsuki returned the gesutre. She knew Katrina would arrive any minute, but for now, she could continue to have fun.
Reaching a hand up, she begun to stroke Sabitsuki's messy white hair."What a Wise And Kind Little Mirror. If more of the world saw we don't mean any harm, maybe we could be understood and not prosecuted like we are~" Fuzen continued to stroke Sabitsuki's hair almost lovingly,"It is even nicer that Katrina has found a person who accepts her as what she is now. Hehehe, your hair is so cute. I won't stay in place!"
