Tempo headed towards the river, humming along happily to herself. She really did need to start heading off to visit her family, but she'd been distracted. First she'd met this super sweet, cute kit...that had grown up to be a pirate. He even came with his own eye patch. Tempo giggled lightly to herself before sinking back into her contemplations.
Good grief, Tempo didn't know what had gotten into her. She'd never felt so much...gyah! all at one time. And on top of that, it was her friend who she'd known as a kit.
So, let's tally that up, shall we? That's lust, fondness, lust, guilt, embarrassment, guilt and lust. All aimed at one male noodle. Granted a gorgeous male noodle.... Tempo shook her head, trying to get all the thoughts to just go away. She was going to go to the river, grab a fish, go back home, get whatever she needed and start off to see her family. Maybe some time away from Yami would ease some of these raging emotions. Or at least her hormones.
Completely lost in her own thoughts, she walked under the tree Yami was in without even noticing. She'd walked down the path so often, she didn't really need to pay attention...but today she was going to regret that propensity.

The next few seconds were not nearly as graceful as she normally was. One second, a nice, normal day; the next she was being nibbled on. A strangled yelp escaped her as she jumped away from the voice, startled. Tempo knocked her foot against a small rock lying in the path and nearly tumbled over, but she was saved that embarrassment at least. As she slowly realized who had startled her out of her thoughts, she began turning all sorts of interesting red colors.
"I-you-I..." she stuttered, trying to get her thoughts back in order. He was probably laughing at her right now. "Yami! What are you doing here?" she finally asked.
She looked at the male and frowned, something was different with him. Something small, but noticeable. A quick scan, for trying to find out what was wrong, no other reason, showed his eye-patch was off. Tempo blinked and started blushing again. Dear gods, she was acting like a brainless school girl.

"Oddities? What oddities?" She asked, genuinely confused. Did he mean being a half breed? Well, so was she...technically since her dad was a demonic. Maybe he meant his eyes? But she already knew one of them was red, he'd told her. Trying to figure out what he was talking about, the cryptic Devil Pirate that he was, she started frowning at him. "What test?"
She blinked down at her fishing pole and shook her head. "No, not really. I only fish maybe...twice a month? But it's easier to store the equipment here, so I do." She shrugged and cast her line into the water. "I like chicken and beef too, honestly. Trout, or salmon, is just my special treat, because I don't eat it very often. I'm not really a patient enough fisherman to eat it regularly, but I refuse to buy that farmed stuff."

Tempo took a deep breath, resisted shooting Yami a glare, and turned back to her fishing pole. She was not going to get mad and demand anything from the male; she didn't have the right to do that anyway. Nor should she be feeling all hurt cause he wouldn't just tell her what was going on. She knew him as a kit, it wasn't like they were best friends or anything, and Tempo refused to act like an idiot in front of him. The orange female shot a glare at the clouds, cause dammit she needed to glare at something, and started tearing down the fishing pole. Technically she could fish while it was raining, but Tempo wasn't fond of rain and she so wasn't in the mood any longer. 'Giving me tests and not telling me what they are. Cryptic jerk.' She thought unkindly.
She put the pole back in her hiding spot and twitched her tail. "Well, as it looks like rain, I'm not staying out here to fish. Perhaps I'll go home or something." She said, forcing brightness into her tone and turning a large smile on Yami. "I'm not a big rain person so...yeah."
