So like, I'm in the Temple of Time and know I gotta find this statue and put it back in it's neighborhood..... and my sister and I mistake one of the statue monsters for it. I lured that sucker all the way to a statue teleporting platform before I figured it out. rofl
And then in Snowpeak Ruins I somehow spartan'd a cannonball past two Freezards guarding a stairwell.

The puzzles in any of the Zelda games are good fun. I miss them, and that's a reason why I wanted to get Skyward Sword. It's probably the only Zelda game I haven't played. I beat all of them at least once.
I missed Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. A lot of people didn't like Majora's Mask but I thought it was cool. Of course that was back when it came out... I am sure it has taken its place in time as favored by many.
I was going to start loading up emulators for the SNES one and the Gameboy ones. I had recently gotten a hold of a lot of games so i'm going to be occupied for a while but, when I get the spending money for it I am seriously headed straight for Skyward Sword. Nothing but positivity from what I've heard.

Hnnngggg so jelly. I'm late to the Zelda bandwagon, Twilight Princess has been my first serious go at the games ever and now I'm like ultra pumped about trying to get around to playing all of the 3D games.
I've heard mostly good things about Skyward Sword, most of the complaints are from people that don't dig the more involving motion controls or dislike the game's countermeasures against players getting ridiculously lost traveling from location to location. Personally those two points just make me think "better controls and less getting lost? Whoa!" so I'm probably gonna get it in a few weeks.
Plus the new weapon stuff..... so many upgrades and new gadgets!

Ohhhh mayun. If you liked Twilight Princess you would loooove Ocarina of Time me thinks. It's a timeless classic. I suggest you give it a go if you haven't. You might have to bust out the N64! If you get a copy, keep it. It's a super adventure! It's about a boy... who becomes a legend. emotion_donotwant If not you could always emulator.
If that's the case with Skyward Sword I wouldn't mind it either. People always find something to complain about, they are never solid on a game. They were probably upset because the ones for N64 were more open world. You could go to towns before you were supposed to... and everyone you interacted with had a chore or something they needed done that you could help them with... and you couldn't do them all right away.... More items you found in dungeons, more you could do in the open world, and it was just so involved. Tons of secrets, tons of awesome. It was like a true story book legend.
People are just super a**l when games don't stick to their roots D: Regardless that's not something I look for... I mean, in every Zelda game you find like a boomerang... or a bow... or the same different variations of items you found in the other games. They need the change because you can't warp a classic. It's already hit its height. People get angry about Zelda because they think it's going to be another Ocarina of Time.

When I upgrade my DS I'll play it. I doubt there will be a shortage of used copies in a decent condition by then. (and enough 3DS games to make the thing worth buying... rofl )
I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo added another timeline to Zelda, or expands on the "Hero is defeated" line. When you look at the cannon timeline chart it's the only one without any new gen console action.

Yup. Zelda belongs to nintendo. It's not going to be on Playstation or Xbox. Mario, Kirby, Starfox, all of those games belong to the Wii and 3DS.
Zelda has always had very few sequels. It's a legend, so it's a story just re-told in different ways. That's the entire reason I think people are kinda weird about it or they just don't understand. Majora's Mask was a solid sequel though.
but, yeah, Skyward Sword's the newest to come out in years. Wondering what the next big step's going to be. You can only do so much before it needs the twist that makes it unoriginal. :l Nintendo is just... idk, all the games for it the developers are just AWESOME at remaking them in different ways. The biggest let down is probably kirby yarn, and the only reason why I thought it was bad was because it wasn't kirby at all and it vastly changed how the game play was supposed to be. You really can't even call it a kirby game.

With much swearing, I've finally beat Twilight Princess. Found out you can get OoT and MM for $10 a pop on the Wii virtual console, so I'll probably download 'em later. During my 3DS not-sure-if-want debates I learned it's got at least 2 other games lined up for it (a new title and a remake of A Link to the Past or Majora's Mask), as well as the Wii getting a new title that might be the same as the 3DS one, going off the knowledge that the two are sharing quite a few games.
It would be weird if console exclusives stopped existing. D: Imagine Mario Party....... on a PS3.
I've never played Kirby's Yarn. I've got Return to Dreamland though. It's fun but so much urg I don't even..... You can play it solo, but the bosses are ridiculously impossible without extra players. That and all of Kirby's friends are more useful than Kirby. Like, I'm pretty sure Waddle Dee could be a Captain Falcon or Pikachu tier SSB character.
Not sure if I want Skyward Sword when I investigate it more. Maybe when it's $20 or so at the game store I'll pick it up.

I find Skyward Sword to be fun and challenging, but it would be better for me if it was on the 3DS so I could play it more. sad I hope they remake A Link to the Past. I used to have it but sadly, our game was stolen with our original gameboy. Stupid brother took it to school and showed it off which got it taken by the teacher and someone broke into the teacher's desk to steal it.

@Toon: Dude, I don't even know. I love Kirby. He just eats all the things forever. If you're trying to get into some classics you should check out Kirby All Stars I think it's called for SNES. Just grab an emulator. Comes with like three or four games, two more unlockable. Something to consider if you're bored. emotion_c8
You bring up a good point about Mario Party and it leads me to the thought that I hate console wars. PS3 has so many exclusives that I know other people would love to death, but will never get to experience them because of it. Not to mention money. I can't even begin to tell you how much it sucks. I wish I could show everyone in this guild all the things and just blow all the minds forever. Sony actually even has their own SSB coming out. It's kind of awkward but... it's whatever. :l
@Cherry: I am glad you like Skyward Sword too. I really want to play it but fuggin... amazon wish list is packed with all kinds of just... everything, screw it all the things *slams his head on his desk* Sucks about Link to the Past though. Baller game yo emotion_8c
