Tchipakkan: How do I make this more legible? Kat: By putting a transparent box behind it. Tchipakkan: How do I do that? Kat: With this tool. Tchipakkan: No I can't read it at all. Kat: That's because you put the box on top of the text instead of behind it. Also, it's opaque. Tchipakkan: I don't like it. Kat: You'll want to change that font. It clashes with the font on the logo. Tchipakkan: I don't like serifs. Kat: But you're using serifs on the logo. Tchipakkan: I like chalkboard. It's round and friendly. Kat: But this is an intense scholarly conference and it looks unprofessional. (five more minutes of Kat walking Tchipakkan through making a card, with technical advice being followed and artistic judgments being disregarded.) Tchipakkan: It's ugly. Kat: That's because graphic design is an art form.
By all the gods in heaven, if she tries to mix serifs and sanserifs again, so help me...
