I am cleaning up my external hard drive. As in deleting duplicate files. This is taking forever....

good luck with that.
i should back up my computer files. i'm afraid my computer will s**t the bed in 1-2 years. >.< i'll hate to lose everything. especially my animations.. and comics i started.

I've deleted 80 gigs of stuff that was duplicated.
Thanks to a neat little freeware program I found that scans for duped files. :3

Well my external is a 1TB harddrive and it had like 600GB filled before I started scanning

my dad had a 2TB external. it overheated and fried. it was about half full of pics, and there's a TON that he wants back on there.
like the one day, he and i went to a windmill farm and took shots of it. i actually got a really good one where you're got the silhouette of the windmill with the bottom third being corn. ARGH. Fear the Sushi! yum_tamago

My COMPUTER has very few duplicates, my external drive had the 200GB of duplicates because I'd just copy my whole user folder over to it instead of individual files/folders from inside it.

I should really go find my external. It's somewhere in my college stuff ;-;
Sorry little hard drive.
The internal on my computer is pretty good, it's about 700GB, and half full.

I love my external, it houses like 225? movies.
I recently cleared 80 or so gigs from my lappy too.
