[PRP] Mine to command. (Demon and the Wolf Pack)

[Syaoran-Puu]

Wolf yelped as he was kicked, he had been distracted looking at Kouga and hadn't seen the strike come until it was too late. He struck a tree and winded himself. Ok, so he might have hurt his leg a little too. Still, he stood back up with only a slight limp, and turned to look at Kouga as he spoke. That pulled a growl from Wolf's lips. He knew what the guy was doing but.... he couldn't allow it! "No!" He barked, unwilling to just let the guy go it alone. "We're pack." He called, stubborness taking over. "Which means we are in it together." With that he kicked off the ground, jumping into possition, paws forward as he aimed for the creatures neck.

Demon hissed at the pain in his tail and let the creature go only long enough to turn to face him. The thing had guts to attack him like that... but guts alone wouldn't save him. "So... you think you can bu---" His words were lost as the other wolf recovered and latched onto his neck. That seriouslly angered Demon and he growled low, the noise likely vibrating through the wolf as he shook his body to free himself. It didn't seem to be working, so, not afraid to play dirty he slammed himself again and again into a tree, ensure that most of the time the wolf was between him and the tree.

Wolf was slammed, again and again, and left with no other choice he let go. Falling to the ground in a bloody slump and panting for breath.

Lupita cleaned herself up before wandering back to the pack, only to discover Rose and Wrath leaving together and some fresh meat available. Her stomach seemed to growl in greeting to the meat but she didn't make a move towards it. She never ate unless invited to do so, or if she was sure everyone else had already finished... scraps, that was what the young female tended to survive on. She looked over at Pup and smiled a little before catching herself and walking away to find somewhere to sit.

Wrath had to agree, Wolf had picked a fine female indeed as his mate. WIth his head he had indicated that they should go, the sooner they went hunting the sooner they would be back. He set off in a different direction this time, the scent of Wolf and Kouga lingering slightly in places.

Kouga watching as Wolf dropped from the things throat, really snarling now, he might had not agreed with Wolf being Alpha in a big way, but he had earned the right fair and square. Not waiting for the thing to round on him, he did what Wolf had gone and went for its throat in one very determind spring.

Rose walked along with Wrath, sniffing here and there, ears pricked as she listened for prey, they would need much more or bigger prey in order to feed everyone. Unable to help herself she would brush against the spots where Wolf's scent was strongest. But always she was on the prowl dispite the probable sillyness of her actions.

Demon felt blood dripping down his throat, the scent of the iron based liquid filling his nose. He hated the smell of his own blood... hated it more than anything else in the world. It reminded him of Lana'thel, of the abuse he had suffered at her hooves and was one way to make him see red. Of course, right now none of that really mattered... he was angry at being defied. Foolish creatures.

He thought that even as the other wolf latched onto his throat also. He hissed, though the sound didn't escape since there was no blood flowing down his throat. His white glowing eyes narrowed and gave this wolf the same treatment he had the last.

Wolf coughed and spluttered as he regained his barings, his sight was blurry but that didn't stop him from grinned at Kouga attached to the beasts throat. Bringing out his claws again he limped towards the beast leg and wrapped himself around it. He was too disorientated to try and jump right now, but he wouldn't abandon his pack mate either.

Demon felt pain in his hoof also... darn persistant creatures. He shaked them both free with one sudden jerky movement, causing his throat to be ripped open and his voice to gurgle, he lowered his chin to apply pressure until it clotted. "Clever creatures...." He tried to laugh but nothing came out. Demon had another trick up his hooves... BLACK MAGIC! Something he had perfected long ago. He concentrated, drifting into his own mind for a moment while he projected his will from his body and onto the two small wolves.

Wrath would go still every now and then, his ears twitching for noises and sounds that might help him locate his targets. It was silent.... too silent. And that disturbed Wrath. There had been a bounty of animals in the other part of the forest.... why not here... he froze. Something wasn't right. He looked at Rose with widened eyes as he tried to portray his thoughts....

Kouga took a beating against another tree, taking a few hits before the thign got him off. Looking up somewhat groggy from the impacts, but seeing the damage he had done and feeling proud of it. Shaking his head he tried to clear it, having taken a couple of whacks to the head, the dizzyness making it harder to get to his paws.

Rose looked at Wrath, catching a coppery scent in the air as she lowers herself and slinks forward quietly, knowing blood when she smelt it. Her usual friendly expression gone, along with her playfulness... This was Rose meaning business, the rose that had gone after the purewalker alone.

Wolf yelped as he was tossed again, three times in one fight... the creatures strength was no match for a mere wolf, even two of them.... they had to take a different tatic, but he was finding it hard to stay conscious let alone think. It just wasn't going to happen right now.....

Demon snarled, "Whats up? No more fight in you?" He mocked, ok, so they had done damage... but still... he knew his black magic would start to take hold soon, and when it did.... well would likely die. And boohoo for them. Lifting his head up he could only feel the faint continued trickle of blood. Still, it hurt sooo much, and his voice was hoarse and raw... he was even sure how much longer he would be able to speak. Curse them! He had better things to do than have a disagreement with a couple of wolves. Still, he kept concentrating; that was the only real down side to using black magic as a half-breed.... it took a lot of concentration to perform. At least Alti's lessons had been worth it, the 'lessons' he had learn through her harness and instance that he could do better had certainly given him a head start.

Wolf suddenly felt sick. His head was throbbing, his body felt weaker than it ever had... and he had the strange feeling that it was far from natural. He coughed the moment he tried to call out to Kouga, he wasn't even able to see the other wolf as he started to convulse on the ground. Oh crap! Something was wrong.... he couldn't control himself... and with each and every moment that passed Wolf was sure he was going to die.

Wrath caught the scent the same moment Rose did, automatically lowering himself to the ground. Again he was at a disavantage... but being white that was always the case. He darted through the undergrowth as he approached the scent with caution, golden eyes constantly scanning to see if there was anything there.... and that was when he saw it, a sight that caused him to freeze completely.... Wolf.... convulsing on the ground. Kouga.... looking disorientated and weak. But worst of all... ANOTHER BEAST!

Kouga tried to stand up again, only to fall down, whatever had been done to him was getting worse not better. Starting to paw at his head, as he began to feel sick, not even able to lift his head after a time, his whole body starting to ache like an open wound with salt in it, letting out a whimper as the pain grew, the sensation like his bones were hellfire. Howling from the pain as it got worse.

Rose pausing for only a moment, not sure how but sh knew that thign was hurting the 2 wolves, hurting her mate. Kouga would have been howling before he tried to get up if it was from whatever injury had knocked him senseless. Not bothering to give the thign a warning she took the small distance at speed, not as big as the males she went for its legs, latching onto one of its hind legs so it couldn't kick at her.

Demon's concentration broke the moment something latched onto his rear leg. He went to growl but the noise sounded more like a gurgle. Instead he snapped his fangs at the appearance of a third wolf! If he had been paying attention he might have realised that the scent of this one had been the white and grey wolf. But right now he didn't care about that. He couldn't kick the creature, and even though he tried to kick it off he had the feeling it wasn't going to work.... he eyed the trees around him for a moment, he would just have to use other means to get it off... something that seemed to be coming a trend with these wolves today.

Wolf felt a moments relief from the pain, the convulsing stopping, leaving him panting and feeling weak. But his relief didn't last for long as his eyes focused on... Rose! NO! He growled, though it shifted to a sounding more like a yelp.

Wrath followed Rose without hesitation, flashing his teeth and fangs before latching onto the beasts other rear leg.

Wolf didn't care that Wrath had appeared also... all he cared about was that Rose was here and in danger. It had nearly killed him to let her go once before, he couldn't willingly let her now. But he was weak, unable to stand... but maybe... maybe that wouldn't be needed. He just needed to be a distraction, and so Wolf said the first thing that came into his head; "We were just looking for a new home...." His voice wasn't as strong as he had hoped, but still he pressed on. "...We'll move on and leave you alone. Just.... let us go."

Rose let go and moved back out of reach as Wolf spoke, what he was saying lacked any credibility if they kept attacking, but he stayed low, ready to spring again or run if needs be.

Kouga manage to get to his feet, the pain was gone and his head felt a little clearer, movin stiffly, the pain lingering as a memory in his bones, moving a little to loosen up ready to attack or run.

Wrath listened to Wolf and jumped back and away from the beast, slinking close to the ground as he circled the beast... ready to attack again with only a moments warning.

Wolf stood up, trying to keep himself from looking threatening, but at the same time he didn't want to come across as powerless... of course given how groggy he currently felt he found it hard to pretty much do anything other than stand. Wow, his head was a mess. He looked to Kouga, Wrath.... Rose. They had all stopped attacking as if on command, and while he hated coming across as weak he was willing to lose anyone either. He shook his head as if the action would some how clear his thoughts.

Demon snarled again, turning to look at the four wolves, three stood as a triangle around him while the last, a plain white one circled him. Great strategy, and one he would be sure to steal in the near future.... but that didn't help him now. Wait.... maybe it could? They wanted a home. He wanted an army. It was clear these wolves had spirit and skills, and desperation to boot... maybe they would consider his offer.

"A new home...?" He quirked his brow, swishing his tail on the ground in an effort to warn the other wolves not to come closer. His senses were on high alert, and he was suddenly thankful that they were flightless creatures. If needed he would fly, cause them to scatter and then hunt them down to finish them off. That was of course, if they turned out to be of no use to him. He stretched the muscle in his neck, it ached, and the moment he did he regretted since it caused him to wince a little. That hurt! LIttle rats. "Someone took something of mine... and I want it back. If you swear your alliance to me...." He narrowed his eyes upon the white grey wolf. "...I will make you a deal you can't refuse." He turned again, rechecking everyones position before addressing the group. "Fight for me. Work for me. And once I have my possession back... I will give you my forest. This forest."

Rose, couldn't help it, she glanced around and found she was not the only one stunned by the offer, more than one wolf caught her eye in surprise. A new home, the creature was offering them a home in exchange for their help? Surprising to say the least.

Kouga had glanced around, catching Rose's surprised gaze as well for a second before just stairing at the thing, not believing his ears.

Wolf's mouth went dry, and he found himself blinking up at the beast in confusion. Has he just heard that right? Surely not? It wouldn't have surprised him if the guy had just said he was going to eat them all and curse the rest of their family.... but an offer for a new home? It was too good to be true... wasn't it? Shaking his head he did his best to think and regain some of his senses. "What is the catch? Are you planning to simply kill us once you get what you want?" He huffed, kicking the dirt below his paw a moment before looking up at the beast again. "What possession could be so important?" That was then his eyes landed on Rose, and he realised... a woman. No, not just any woman... your woman. This beast was pining for his mate. "How can we trust you?"

Demon turned to face the only one that seemed to be speaking in the group and shrugged, "I suppose you don't. And you're right... my kind are well known for our trickery and for backstabbing. But how I see it is... you need this forest, I need you and own this forest..." He licked his lips, forcing himself to pause a moment longer to swallow some of the drying blood from his throat. "...or, I can kill you all now. Your decision. And make it quick. I grow bored of this." He slammed his hoof into the ground to demonstrate his point.

Wolf looked to Rose again, then to the beast. "Let us discuss it..." He signalled for Rose to join him to the side, all the while watching as Wrath continued to circle, as Kouga stood his ground ready to attack. Once to the side he looked to Rose with seriousness and relief, she was alive and well. She would never know how much that meant to him. "What do you think?" If there was anyone's opinion he needed and trusted, it was Rose's.

Wrath continued to circle, but some of the agression had melted out of his movements... a new home? Here? The forest was surely bountiful, and this creature had obviously not abused it as some did... the skinwalker included. Still, he was confused as to why the beast would be willing to make such an offer with them. Perhaps it wasn't his to give?

Kouga startedmoving in a counter clockwise way to Wrath, so one of them was always opposite the other while Rose and Wolf talked. He didn't know what to think about the offer, then again his brain was addled still.

Rose moved aside with Wolf, leavign the other two to watch the creature. Looking at Wolf and sighing. "His offer has merit, but I don't know.... He could turn on us... but then with something liek him around it would be a safer place for the pups... as long as he doesn't arrack us.... Working for him in exchange for a home here and safety from his doing us harm.... seems a fiar exchange... if he is a danger to us tnhe theres no point to settle here as its not safe enough for us or the pups." She could see the merit of it... this beast protected its lands, it would be useful to have no other preditors to worry over... but they would need immunity from this one.... They had already been one creatures personal buffet.

Wolf nodded to his mate, she was right. Maybe they would need to risk it. "How about we give it a week. If something seems... off... we will leave immediately. The pups won't be left unprotected, and those that need it will hunt in pairs, no one to be left alone." It was the only compromise he could think of, and whether or not it was the lingering effects of whatever had made him feel ill earlier it was the best he could manage.

Demon watched with lazy interest as the two wolves circled him... as if they believed they could contain him or do him any real damage. Foolish beings. But their small size was useful to him, they could sneak places that he couldn't. Only an idiot would pass up an opportunity like this, and Demon believed himself to be anything but an idiot. Curious as to what the wolves would do he snapped his teeth at one of them to try and get a reaction.

Wrath bared his own fangs and stopped circling the moment the beast snapped its fangs at him. Wrath rarely stood down from a challenge, and this would be no different.

Rose nodded, agreeing with Wolf, a trial period seemed sensable. "Maybe he.... knows a place where we can den.... we can move to another place after if we want more safety. But I think we might as well give this a try." Nodding, trying to smile a little, she wasn't totalyl comfortable but then they were making a deal with another dangerous creature, but then if they were making a deal with it at least it could be reasoned with to an extent. "Just making the offer he shows he can be reasoned with to a degree... Better to deal with that then something worse."

Kouga growled low and bared his own fangs in a snarl, snapping at the creatures hooves when it snapped at them, though he didn't bite it, just snapping to make a warning before leaping bacl to where he had been.  

[Syaoran-Puu]

Demon laughed at the wolves reactions, he couldn't help it. "You're my kind of creatures." He said, appreciating the fact that they didn't give in even in the light that they would likely take severe damage should he change him mind about being so 'dosile'. Especially since he was regaining his strength with every heart beat that he took, his wound had finally clotted, though the area still stunk of his own blood. Yuck.

Wolf nodded to Rose, "Agreed. We will make a deal with the devil..." He growled a little under his breath, "It is not as if we have much choice." He shook his head for a moment before walking back towards the beast with all the strength he could muster. He was still tender from being slammed and kicked, and a little weak from whatever had happened after, but he hoped that all of that didn't show too much. Pillar of the pack, he reminded himself, he couldn't let them down. "We accept." He said those words a little reluctantly, not entirely likely the idea of relying on anyone for something they couldn't provide themselves. "BUT," he said, looking up at the beast when he had his attention, "If you so much as harm any of my pack... we will turn against you." He took a deep breath, "And, we don't want you near the den. If you want to speak to us you will signal us.... do we have an understanding?"

Demon turned to listen as the wolf incharge accepted, a grin covered his face... it seemed that his patience today had paid off. Yes, this was certainly an interesting development, and one he planned to uterlise immediatly. "Impressive..." He drawled, "...that you dare give me orders and ultimatiums." He laughed, the sound menacing, especially with the slight gurgle caused by the wound. "But... I shall accept your terms wolf. And will accept some of my own." He paused, flashing open his wings despite the trees simply to prove he meant business. "When I call you will answer.... or I will not hesitate to break this... alliance."

Wrath blinked in surprise. They were accepting?

Rose gave a soft yip for the 2 to back off and stand down, though it was foolish if they totally left. She was pretty sure they would just back off and stay to the flanks of... it... Sitting beside Wolf she eyes the creature they had made the deal with. "What should we call you?" Leaving it at that as she doubts calling him creature to his face would go over well, not sure what kind of signal he would give or who he would want but by the vibe she got off him it would be the stalkers, hunters, fighters...

Kouga backed up at the yip and stopped snarling and sat to the side of the thing, lookign from it to Rose to Wrath. Also stunned that they were accepting the deal, then again neither Rose nor Wolf were fools, they must see some benifit to it that he hadn't thought of, but then his head still ached along with other parts of him.... Trees were not soft...

Wrath nodded and backed away at the yip from Rose. Still, he didn't take his eyes off the thing, not wanting to be caught off guard should it change it's mind.

Demon looked to the newer smaller wolf of red, from the voice he was guessing female, and given that the black and white male had wanted to 'discuss' things he imaged they were the alpha pair, just like with most horse herds. Interesting. Destroying one was surely to get a reaction from the other should they fail to keep this treaty. He would remember that, after all, Demon was not against playing dirty. "Demon." He said with a grin, "My name is Demon." Most believed it to be a fake, stage name, but it was what his parents had given him... he had simply grown into it with relish.

Wolf glowered a little at the name, they really were in trouble if they were accepting deals from creatures called 'Demon'. But the deserpate could not be picky. Shaking off the sudden nervous feeling he had he turned to check on the two males that had been guarding them, noticing for the first time houw Kouga's movements seemed a little lazy, just like his own, it wasn't a surprise given how they have been beaten against a tree or two..... still, he didn't want to linger here longer than he had to.

Rose looked at this Demon, not sure what else to do or say, she didn't feel happy and could only hope that they would not be expected to do anythign too awful. Sighing softly she glanced at Wolf, they had signed up, they would hold their end of the deal as long as he did.

Kouga mostly wanted to get this done and go so he could lay down, everything ached and he felt weary to his core now. But he didn't look how he felt, at least he hoped not, he kept his eye on Demon and waited for a wrong move or an order.  

[Syaoran-Puu]

Demon grinned at the bunch, "This shall be... entertaining." He chuckled, "Go lick your wounds... I shall do the same." He made to move then, but stopped to look at the grey and white wolf who had accepted, "I will call. Listen out for this...." He held his head up and growled in a 'grr'gr'grrrrrrrrr' pattern. "Come running, the foot of the mountain." His true territory. With that he left for the mountain and a place to recover from his neck injury.

Wolf didn't let his guard down until after this 'Demon' left, only then did he allow himself to slump a little. Pain, he was in pain. He looked to Rose, and resisted flinching. "Let's... get... back." He said between gritted teeth. Yeah, getting back sounded like a good plan about now. He turned to look at Kouga, thanks and loyality in his eyes. In many ways this incident had helped Wolf see Kouga as more than simply a potential threat.

Wrath followed after Demon as he left, ensuring the guy didn't double back. When it was clear he had no intention to he returned to the group and nodded to Wolf and Rose in turn before sniffing the air. He walked a little closer to Rose before tapping his paw on the ground and nodding his head to the left, he would carry on the hunt.

Rose nods and looks at Wrath when he comes back. "I'll send out more hunters, if that... Demon spoke true we are free to hunt here without fear of others like him bothering us. Plus hunters can search for a den site while at it." Smiling at Wolf, licking at his face lovingly before giving Kouga a worried look and standing to walk back with them.

Kouga just nodded and stood, starting to walk back, he ached all over, whatever that pain had been it left a lasting impression.  

[Syaoran-Puu]

Demon found his way back to the mountain, he had been aware that one of the later arrivals, the white wolf if he wasn't mistaken, had followed him. Demon had let him, deciding it was a necassary allowance at this time... after all Demon wanted them to trust him, at least enough to do what he wanted. Climbing the rocky slop he settled into his cave, eyes on the entrance as he stretched out and allowed himself to drift into a brief cat nap. He needed to sleep. Needed to recover.

Wolf nodded to Rose, "Yes, that sounds like a good idea." He said softly. nodding to Wrath to start. He wasn't planning to let any of the other pack members go it alone, but he strangely trusted Wrath in that way more than he did some of the others. He was limping, and a headache had started to settle into his skull. Yeah, he was going to feel that in the morning. Although he knew Kouga was a proud creature he found himself asking in concern, "You ok?" They had started to make their way back, but to Wolf everything seemed the same, his sense not quite absorbing his surroundings.... he was simply following Rose.

Lupita's ears flickered at a sound coming from the direction that Rose and Wrath had gone. Her tummy growled a little and she had to wonder if they had been sucessful in hunt... at least that was what she had assumed they had gone to do. Nothing else would have made sence between that particular pair. Yet what she saw was the alpha pair and Kouga. Her tail and ears flopped onto her head at the sight, there was some blood, but since it seemed to be around their mouths and paws she was assuming it wasn't theirs. Still.... what should she do? She felt torn. Part of her wanted to run over and offer help... but she was afraid of being rejected.

Wrath ran through the forest in search of prey.

Rose nudged Wolf towards an empty place to lay down, wanting him to rest after the fight, looking over as Kouga finds a place to flop and does so. Looking around before licking Wolf gently. "I'll get hunters off, you rest. Once we are all fed and rested we can tell them the news." With that she gave him another loving lick and wandered off to get hunters out, playfully tipping some of the pups off theitr paws with her nose as they bounce around her legs.

Kouga collapsed in the nearest empty space, his head still ached as did other parts of him but it was easing, the pain more like bruses now than anything else, putting it down to the tree. Not sure what had set his bones on fire but that at least was gone now. Huffing softly and closing his eyes thinking a nap would be good, sure someone would poke him when food arrived.

Pup hopped up when Rose nudged him, heading off with another wolf, having been told to hunt in pairs so he did so, leaving the pups with their mothers.  

[Syaoran-Puu]

Lupita saw Kouga flop to the ground, he looked worst than she had seen him in ages. She spied some left over meat from earlier and went to fetch it for him, knowing that more hunting was under way. Nervously she approached Kouga and placed the meat down before him. She smiled, half stepping back as if she planned to retreat when Rose's words came back to her... maybe... she could at least talk to him a little? There was nothing wrong with that, right? "It...it's on-ly a a a little." Her mouth felt dry and she felt like she was blushing from head to tail. Unsure what to do now she bowed her head and went to leave. After all Lupita didn't want to get in the way, especially since it seemed he wanted nap.

Wolf licked his mate back before she slipped away. He knew that without her he would have lost the battle for Alpha a long time ago. He closed his eyes, exhaustion settling into his body.... sleep... just a little sleep.

It didn't take Wrath long to find his prey... a small buck. He stalked, leaving his scent in certain places to drive the creature where he wanted it to go.... snap! He leaped at the thing, teeth and claws ready for the kill.

Kouga lifted his head and looked at Lupita, then down to the meat, she was right it wasn't much but his stomach growled at the smell of it. Looking at her again. "Thank you." Not sure what if anything else he should say, he was hungry, but a rabbit was a little to light for his appitite at that moment, but he knew better than to refuse it, they all knew how timid she was, though he was surprised she had brought it to him and not the alphas. Glancing over at Rose and Wolf before he started to eat, he knew his place and wasn't about to upset that apple cart for a while. Part of him still pined for Rose but he was accepting it as well as starting to like Wolf as Alpha, things would be fine.

Rose came back and snuggled with Wolf when she had gotten the hunters off, just laying with him, half dozing while he slept.

Pup had bounded off hunting too, not finding a buck, but he had found some more rabbits.

Wrath started to drag his kill back, hating that he was leaving a small trail of blood whenever he was forced to jolt the body over obsticles in the forest. It took a little struggling, but he got it back to the pack. Releasing it he licked his lips and sat patiently waiting, he was rather proud of his kill... though considering there seemed to be far more game in this place he probably shouldn't have been... it had just been so long since he had had a proper kill, a proper target... small kills could only sustain the group for so long. He looked over at Wolf and Rose, snuggled together.... he was almost jealous of them, ok, he was jealous of them..... but he would never show it.

Lupita wandered away from Kouga without looking back, despite being happy that he thanked her she didn't really know what else, if anything, se could have done or said.... nothing she supposed. With a sigh she went towards the pups, the pounced and leaped towards her, unaware of her social status, and uncaring... the innocence of them gave her a longing she hadn't fully accepted. She nipped at their ears, batted them with her paws and chased them... at least until she caught one of the mothers looking at her. She froze, and despite the smile on the other females face, she felt as if she had been caught doing something wrong. "So-rry." She said before bounding off. She didn't get far however when she saw Wrath return with... a buck? Her mouth watered. Still she stood back, hesitant as always, Wrath indimiated her, and not just because he had a short tail and snow white fur.... there was just something about the silent wolf that unsettled her heart.

Wolf placed a paw over Rose when she came back to snuggle, his possessivness was clear for all those paying attention. He wasn't about to leave her unattended, even in sleep, even when exhausted. Wolf was sure he had drifted off at one point... at least until his nose picked up the scent of blood. His instincts flared to life and he came to attention with snap. Relaxing only when he saw Wrath... and a buck! "We could grow used to good food like this Wrath." He said with a chuckle as he kissed Rose's head and stood to approach the guy, "Good catch."

Rose lifted her head as Wolf kissed it and walked over to Wrath, standing and smiling as she followed nodding in agreement with Wolf as she sits "Spy any possible den sites?" Looking round as Pup returns with some rabits. Smiling at Wolf and Wrath. "We should probably tell them all what has happened." Looking from the two with her to Kouga who it seemed was asleep, seeing some dried blood in his fur, thinking they needed a healer of some kind to go to, one in the pack woiuld be better.

Kouga finished with the scraps that Lupita had brought him, rolling over away from them with a groan he fell asleep, hoping to let his aching bruses have time to ease up a bit before having to move again.

Pup smiled after setting rabits down, his tail wagging as he walks over to ask. "Do we need more? I can hunt again?"

Wrath looked at Rose as she asked her question, and he took a moment to think about it... while he had been observant of his enviroment he had been more focused on playing with the buck than looking for a den... but then... he recalled something on his way back, he had had some trouble getting the buck over it which was why it had stuck with him. Secluded, sheltered.... yes.... it could work. He nodded to Rose, knowing she would need to inspect it first, especially since he couldn't voice his 'concerns' or whatever about the spot.

Wolf chuckled at his broter and battered at his nose with his paw in a way he often did when they had been just pups themselves. "I think we have more than enough. You did good Pup." He said looking over to Wrath and nodding at the guy. Only then did he turn his attention back to Rose, he was feeling sleepy but he knew he couldn't give in yet, she was right... there was something to do first. Kouga already knew so he would let him continue to sleep.

"Everyone," He called, waiting until he had the packs attention. "We have food a plenty! And we plan on staying here for a while longer... but remaining here comes at a cost. There is a creature in this forest that had made a deal with us, our help in return for this forest becoming ours." He didn't go into too many details, not wanting to spook anyone or have them worry, "Welcome home!" He said with a grin, he knew there was a chance this might not work out... a week, he had argeed on it with Rose, but part of him couldn't bring himself to say that out loud, as if to do so would jynx it, would make the others find flaws for the sake of flaws. Strangely, Wolf wanted to make this work, wanted to have a home and security... they had been too long without either. This was just the start of their days here.

Wolf held back his head and let out a howl. An announcement that there was a new pack in the forest.

Lupita shivered a little at the words, but part of her was happy... home... they were going to stay here? She rather liked that idea.

Rose smiled at Wrath and nodded. "We will go after we eat, check things out, that way if its suitable we can get everyone there after, they should have finished eating by then." Laughing softly as Wolf bats his brother on the nose and howels with him. Eying the buck after, thinking that now they had a home again that maybe it was ok to dig in, having eaten little to make sure the weaker members like the pups got enough food, she had eaten but like some of the others she had taken the minimum so that others may have.

Pup lay on the ground, listening to the announcement with interest, pleased that they had a new place to settle in. Happy to wait his turn for the food, remaining where he had flopped after his brother had swatted his nose.

Kouga was asleep and missed the news, but he knew it anyway, it also looked like he would miss dinner, but he could hunt for himself later when he was awake and feeling better.

TWO DAYS LATER

*Looks at his brother Grey* I might need your help with this beast....

What beast?

*Smiles softly and looks around their 'new' home* The one with bat like wings that is letting us stay here. *Looks around* Don't tell Rose.... I want to keep her safe, but I would like you as backup.

*nods* Alright. What do you have in mind?

*Huffs a little* When the signal comes. I want you close but down wind so the creature doesn't scent you. If it attacks I want you to inform the others and flee.
