I'm so confused.
And slightly terrified.

I gave one called Gardens of Time the light of day because a couple games was like the perfect video buffering time.

But someone I'm not friends with sent me a gift, how is that possible? Shoot, I don't even have "neighbors"!

Is anyone savvy enough with new facebook's games/apps to explain this wizardry? D:

Wish I could help ya. I have no idizzle. Don't open it, though.

I don't think FB games are that secure at all. Could be like the old AOL dial up where you would just get a bunch of mail for no reason and if you opened any of them it's virus for days.

Even though that still happens with all obvious unknown mail, it's the only example I can confide in... *sigh* emotion_8c

I don't trust Facebook with anything. D: Every time I log in its like GIVE ME YOUR DIGITS and I'm like "no!" every time. I'm careful with that, there's too good a chance something will sell my number.

My mom says my account has been hacked but I don't think anything has changed on it yet. But I guess I should delete all my apps, boot all my sessions, clear my browser and set a new password just to be safe. |: You can never really know sometimes.

If the email was bugged though I'm not too worried about it, I don't think much can be squeezed out of the iOS mail app. The bug is probably aimed at Windows anyway and is contained in the "accept gift" link so the email doesn't get trigger anti-virus software alerts right off the bat. Or the link could be not a virus but a keylogger like most hackers on Gaia use.

I hate keyloggers. That's why they started passing out Authenticators for most online games today. It's because they can't even protect there own stuff, so they need to give you a code that will change every fifteen seconds to ensure security. D:

My Warcraft account is literally years old with things you can't get anymore, so it's just like a personal thing. I don't like having stuff taken away from me especially when I am quite sure my account is worth over seven grand. It would be fine if I didn't put that much work into it.

It's possible it was hacked and to be sure you should always change your stuff. It's like you said, you can never really know sometimes. Within the first few weeks of me joining FB I already had something "liked" popping up on my feed that I didn't even click. I think it was sending messages out to other people so, that was just another reason to deactivate it after I took some big black guy enjoying muscle milk off of my likes.... Keyloggers are a bit tough to get rid of, though. Annoying bastards.

I think you can get rid of them by just doing a full clear on your browser.

Your WoW account is crazy. D:

I always clear my browser just to be as sure as I can be, but I think they are more hidden than that. I'm not quite sure how keylogging works is the problem, but from what my friends have said in most cases they are a pain in the a** to get rid of. Than again... *shrugs*

I use google chrome, so it literally says "Would you like to OBLITERATE YOUR HISTORY AND CLEAR THE CACHE AND ITS COOKIES FROM THE BEGINNING OF TIME!?!?" and I am just like super yes rofl

*Furls eyebrows* I looked at all my recent logins and all of them are from my house, so my account hasn't been tapped by anyone. Any roads I just deleted the game to clear the requests. Maybe I'm just being silly and there's an option to send gifts to random people outside your bubble I never noticed, I dunno but I'm not chancing it. *proudly lame*

Ah shucks they are more srs than that. :c If I ever get a keylogger on me I'm just gonna nope and format my computer. rofl There's nothing that important on it. But aye, browsers still need cleared! You never know when your computer will KO and then some stranger will fix it and see all your terrible secrets.

CONFESSION TIEMS: Once I downloaded a doujin from a random bloke in the charities forum. Dumbest decision ever. xp Nothing happened, but still.

Nobody will ever know my terrible secrets. emotion_donotwant

I would do the same if I ever was in that position. I get overly paranoid about that kind of stuff. Well, not necessarily overly paranoid, but a bit sketchy. Despite being that way, whenever I do something like download from a stranger I am always ninety percent sure someone haxord me than I shrug it off later. I am terrible like that, though.

I used to be the same way. emotion_c8
