Oh yeah, well... my mom hits me and insults me almost daily. She yells at me all the time. That's her main communication mode. There is little to no friendly physical contact between us and I haven't heard and honest "I love you" in years.
But my dad rarely hits me, and you really have to push him to get him to yell at all. He laughs with me, he hugs me. He apologizes when he says something wrong to me.
So yeah, I feel really loved by my mom, it's like riding a magical unicorn. My dad's love isn't special because he's male.
