Still suspicious, Joey eyed her. Self defense? With that gun and that grin? Pig's arse! Yeah, she looked innocent now, but...

Now he had to make a snap decision about which fruit loop pose the most danger: the shiela or the figjam?

He sighed. "Okay, okay. Let's just catch that nutter, righto?" He nodded toward the disappearing perve as he spoke.

Joey plowed on through the mob.

Joey and Astrid trounced through the irrational, invalid and mad. Though the gun shot put many of them down there was little reaction to the blast it's self. As if it was simply a noise like any other. As more bodies poured in to the stampede of degenerates an oddity had began to arise. They gave chase to the well dressed stranger, who had been making his way deeper into the city. The averaged dress of those baring Joey and the curious Astrids path was changing. Though the meaner in which they acted was still unnerving and touchy. There clothing fit that of the paper boy, and the professional writer and the local bobby.


The man rounded corners and dashed through ally ways laughing as he attempted to give them the slip.

Rip growled beginning to feel more than a bit agitated, baring her fangs but not noticeable enough for the male to notice,. "Ve need to find zhis p***k." she growled. "I am getting sick und tired of zhese stupid people." she snapped.

The deros, swagmen, and other wankers Joey could explain away, with the help of a tallie or two, as...park residents. But the local sooks, even some in daks and looking respectable, they made things wonky. It's been nutty ever since we signed on with that Hellsing outfit, Joey thought as he dodged a milko.

"Fair suck of the sav!" he hissed. "They been puffin' mull? Somebody dump turps in the water?"

Maybe they should split up. They could head the fruit loop off. But that would leave them each alone...

"This is gettin' us nowhere fast. Next time we see him -" he broke off, realizing what he almost said: take a shot at the galah. "I'll try and head him off," Joey substituted,

"Ah a chase," He hummed. " You two are quite sporting," he called back all the while picking up the pace. Most would turn home upon witnessing such odds but these two seem insistent. For that very reason the man took a hard right down a small alley-way. Unlike the slew of streets he lead them through previously this one had an end. A 15 foot high brick wall was very near the entry space. Suddenly dispelling there need for more invasive actions. The gentlemanly looking man turned to face those that gave him chase with a in a pleasant manor. The ever crowding streets still marred joey and Astrid's path. At least there seemed to be a definite end to this bizarre situation.
