Story

Every village has its quirks, its secrets, its village idiots too. To say anything different of Mosskeep, the setting in which this story takes place, would be nothing short of laughable. Even more so when one considers the fact that every inhabitant of this fairly large village is or was an adventurer at some point or another. None know why or how they've come to Mosskeep, let alone to live within its borders, but at this point none seem to really care. The world is beautiful and the lands fertile, even if coin isn't always the easiest thing to come across.

Having such a diverse population in both talents and morals, it is fair to assume that daily life in this land is most violent. At least death isn't permanent. (Wait. What?!) That's right! When one dies their corpse fades within a couple days or so, as will any blood or other remnants left at the scene of their death. In about four days after his or her death, the deceased will find himself or herself back where their adventures in Mosskeep first began - the seemingly shoddy inn/tavern that rests at the center of town. For all but those born in this world, time is but an illusion. Those not born in Mosskeep generally do not age beyond the day in which they first stumbled upon this unusual village.

Whether one makes his or her living by the blade or the hoe, by the hammer or bow, or even by the broken lute, there is always plenty to do and plenty more to fight in Mosskeep. Will you get by as a thuggish swordsman? A simple farmer? A cunning thief? A magical intellectual? Or whatever other path offers itself before you? There is a legacy to be made, one to surpass whatever you've built before your days in Mosskeep. Whatever it is, I look forward to seeing how you go about accomplishing it...

Rules/Notes of Interest

Moderators
There are currently two people in charge of this roleplay. Animeprincess_9400 and ZimbuTessen. You will treat both with respect and realize that their word is law. Should you break the rules or cause OOC trouble, either one has the right to kill off your character(s) and ban your a** back to the stone age.

OBVIOUS OBLIGATORY s**t THAT I MUST MENTION
•If you cyber in this thread, you will be banned. When things get sexual between two characters, either timeskip or take it to the PM's. Before anyone tries to get smart (read: total dumbass) with me, here is my defenition of cybering:
Extremely explicit sex scenes between two or more characters. (or one, if it involves "Rosey Palmer") Semi-explicit sexual conversations skirt the border, but are not room for punishment unless done far too frequently for good tastes, up to the point of offending anyone and everyone after a certain point in time. (I'm a fan of raunchy humor myself, so I'd be a hyppocrit to ban you for just making the occassional sex joke.)
•Follow Gaia's ToS, obviously, otherwise you don't even belong on this website until you do. If you haven't read them yet, SHAME ON YOU.
•Type in complete sentences and in third person, lest we be unable to read and reply to your posts. Seriously, nothing is more annoying than being bitched out for ignoring a post you literally can't properly reply to.
•If you join, at least make an effort to remain active, even if it is only one or two posts a week. If you must go inactive for an extended period of time and truly cannot help it, by all means, let us know instead of leaving us in the dark - especially if your character is vital to that current plot arc.
•I ******** SWEAR I will AUTOBAN anybody who uses asterisks(**'s) for actions in script-format posts and does not use quotation marks for speach. Those types of s**t posts should be left in MMO style roleplaying, like in World or Warcraft or Mabinogi.
•I will NOT accept characters that are not your own creation or that are obviously just renamed cameos of characters that did not originally belong to you. It is okay for you to use whatever photobucket pictures you wish to give a basic idea of what your character looks like, but that is it. It is okay to make refferences to famous characters or to make innocent parodies of them, as we all do that at some point or another. It is when it is a carbon copy or way too similar for comfort when it becomes a problem. (At least try to be semi-original, people!)

God-Modding
God-modding, auto-hitting, power-playing, or whatever the hell else you call it is not permitted unless deemed necessary by the admins of this RP for story or punishment reasons. Certain characters can be deemed 'unkillable', 'undefeatable', or whatever else we might call it by the administrators of this roleplay. These characters are not allowed to start a physical fight, but they are certainly allowed to defend him/herself or their possible kin should the need arise. Chances are, though, your character is not one such being - so don't even bother with this sort of bullshit or said character will be promptly killed off with no real hope of return. Permadeaths are extremely uncommon in this world, but not impossible.

Admittably, this is like a violent and perhaps raunchy Harvest Moon RP, except more DnD oriented and not in the same universe as Harvest Moon. It would be unrealistic of me to not expect children to come along at some point or another. (Just don't get too crazy with the mix-breeding, please? Though half breeds are expected at some point or another. Just don't breed up to the point where everybody is 1/16th everything to exist ever.) Unlike their parents, who did not come from Mosskeep, these children will age as the years go by. The less talented, once they come of age, will stop aging in mid to late adulthood. The more talented and mentally sound, however, will disappear days after coming of age and will not be seen again for several years. This phenomena worries some who live in Mosskeep, as those who return refuse to explain how this came to be or what happened inbetween their disappearance and return, but is met with apathy by most.

PROFILE DISAMBIGUATION

Race: Human, Elf, Werewolf, Harpy, Fairy, ect. ect. So long as it isn't used as an excuse to godmod, you can be pretty much any existing magical species that you can think of - just be ready to explain exactly what it is when anyone asks.
Age: How old your character was when he or she first came to Mosskeep
Name: What does your character go by? This does not have to be his or her real name. If it isn't, please include your character's name in white text if it is generally unknown. In fact, if anything is generally unknown about your character, color it in white text. Don't color everything in white text, though, or I'll remove all color coding and post it up butt naked color-wise.

Talents/Abilities: From day to day talents to skills in combat, use this section of your character's profile to brag about everything they're good at. Just try not to sound like an egotistical douche unless that's their personality trait, kthnxbai.
Weaknesses: Any shortcomings, whether they be due to skill or personality, that can prove seriously detrimental to your character's cause(s) at times should be listed here. Nobody's perfect. Talents/Abilities: Being the owner of the Clever Shrew, many of the Barkeep's talents revolve around keeping the business up and going. From cooking delicious yet inexpensive meals to brewing ale to keeping rowdy customers in line even, Barkeep is a jack of all trades when it comes to her business. This is justified, however, since she has only recently started hiring others to help with the inn so that she may have a little free time of her own. Most of her talents that don't revolve around the tavern are combat based, especially in terms of melee. Barkeep is far stronger than she looks, able to handle heavier two-handed swords in combat without getting fatigued. Barkeep has incredibly high physical endurance, meaning that she can take more of a beating than most without kicking the bucket. She can use some lesser healing magics and grant lesser blessings, but for the most part, her skills are combat-oriented.
Weaknesses: Barkeep considers herself to be a woman of honor and chivalry, often obeying otherwise unreasonable rules and showing excessive kindness to the effeminate even when it would be otherwise foolish. When such rules and personal codes do not forbid it, though, she tends to be extremely stubborn and uncompromising. When it comes to any sort of goal she's set, these personality traits drive her to more self harm than good, for she will chase her ambitions relentlessly until she has accomplished each and every one of them. Combat-wise, Barkeep is not very fast, making up with strength for what she lacks in finesse.

Barkeep has a short yet sturdy physical build, one well toned to the art of combat. Her face is round and heart shaped, with two large doe-like dark brown eyes gazing out from beneath lengthy eyelashes. She has a long, pointy nose and lush, pink lips. Protruding from her forhead, one might notice two small, slightly wavy grayish horns. Her skin is a slightly tanned peach color with darker cheetah-like spots dotting her skin on the borders of her face, the back of her neck, her shoulders, and probably other areas that one can't quite see from the outside of her plain, earthy-colored clothes. Her wind-swept hair is short and shines with a healthy copper red hue.

She sometimes even leaves offerings for the sake of those she comes to like when paying her respects to her patron diety, although if anyone ever asked she'd vehemently deny it.

Weaknesses: Okay, so Evelyn can’t stand children. What of it? Okay, so she panics when she’s around children. So what? Surely, Evelyn can’t be around children without being overwhelmed, partly due to her unusual issues but that hasn’t stopped Evelyn from walking into a daycare if it meant having a meal and a drink or two. Right, Evelyn is a sucker for snacking and with the right appetite, Evelyn could be bribed into almost anything. However, it’d be the death of anyone if they ate her cooking. She is not exactly weak but strength is not her strong point; and she absolutely hates heights. She also has a temper, not knowing when to say no or stop sometimes.

Besides combat, Ren dabbles in slight telepathy. He is still playing with it though. He is ambidextrous and skilled in many small tasks, including pick pocketing, lock picking, and juggling.
Weaknesses: Despite being inhuman, Ren’s first most weakness is his need for blood. He can probably go up to four days without feeding, but Ren isn’t one to skip a meal. But if he is hungry for some time, he usually gets very cranky. For longer periods, he goes into senseless feeding or dies. Ren is allergic to garlic so he can’t really eat it, much less rub it on his body. He is quite paranoid, always quick to startle and is therefore subject to many pranks. Additionally, Ren can’t help but be honest ( He’s horrible liar ) and is submissive, especially to Evelyn.

She also uses the heat from her forge to run a Bath House, which she turlly needs help running. She carries around a very large hammer covered in holy blue flame, both to fight and forge. When the shop is closed, she usually can be seen drinking and talking to the always busy Barkeep, and if she's sober, she might even help out. She's very cocky and rude, and an absolute whore at times. She can drink almost anyone under the table, and forces the loser to pay her tab.
Weaknesses: Kajiya is forgetful, absentminded, and lazy. She hates when people comment on her small chest, and drinks away all of these troubles every night. She's chaotic and lies through her teeth, frequently getting her into trouble.

Appearance: Somewhat short in height, skinny yet built, like a warrior Loli. She has a dark tan and messy pink hair pulled back into a ridiculously long and poofy ponytail. Her eyes are grayish white, she sports pillow lips, and her clothes are black shorts and a short white tank top, no shoes. And of course, a halo floating above her head.

Weaknesses: He was blessed, a curse really, to be transformed into two genders, a fact he is not proud of. It is a touchy subject for him, certainly injuring his man hood. As he was trying to save a princess from some wicked old geezer, he was blessed in the process. Certainly turning into a girl is a hassle for him, especially when the trigger for doing so is sneezing. Moreover, he is a coward, usually fleeing when any conflict arrives.
