Cobra had lost the fight earlier, and now was forced to wear a dress, have her face painted up, and pretty much everything else Fang forced upon her. There was nothing she could really do against her friend in this situation, so she just let it happen dreadfully. When the time came for the ball, Cobra kept herself locked up up-stairs, trying to avoid actually going downstairs and being seen like this... fragile... dainty... girlish. She shuddered at her reflection in the mirror and looked away, standing in the room and looking down at herself, at the dress' skirt, at her heels... heels... she hated heels. Not that she couldn't walk in them, she could just fine, but they were uncomfortable to the point that she could swear her feet would start bleeding.
It wasn't until she started hearing voices and feeling vibrations from downstairs did she start considering just ripping the dress off and cleaning her face as a panic set in. But she knew Fang would be pissed off if she did that. And let's face it, she'd do anything for Fang, even wear this dreadful thing for her for one night. She just hated looking like this.
Now hearing a familiar voice, William..., she could feel her heart start to race. It seemed a lot easier to do this in front of a bunch of strangers than in front of those she knew and befriended. Guess you could say she was nervous... she knew the sight of her in a dress was going to be a main attraction among her friends. Cobra had never worn a dress in her life, not even a skirt, and she'd certain wasn't made up like this before.
She ended up taking a deep breath before walking over to the door and hesitantly pulling it open after a few more minutes, hearing more people arrive. She peered around the doorway quietly to make sure no one was walking up the hall before stepping out slowly. If she could manage to quietly sneak down stairs and just stay out of sight, she'd be okay, and she'd be able to tell Fang that she did come down and wouldn't have to lie about it. She walked down the hall silently before coming to the stair case and looking down it, seeing a few people standing at the bottom before they moved on without noticing her. Unfortunately, as she took a few careful steps down the stairs, having to mind her dress, she noticed a pair of legs off to the side, though the upper half she couldn't see until she took a couple more steps down, seeing Damon, and Fang off to the side. "..." She froze in her steps there on the stairs, staring at them even if they hadn't noticed her yet. Just then, she caught sight of Remy walking in. She actually had to blink at the sight of him, she hardly recognized him...
What the hell am I doing...? she thought in her silent panic. It was in this moment that she had an inner argument with herself about it not being too late to rush back up and change out of the dress.

Fang paused for a moment, she sniffed the air....recognizing a few distinct scents. She turned, looking over at the direction of the entrance, before making her way over in the dress she wore. When she saw the familliar figures. Her face lit up. She appeared infront of them as soon as someone walked by, "Taylor!" She wrapped her arms around her brother, tighter than she'd realized, happy at least, that he was here, it'd been so long. She pulled away, smiling. Before looking over at Victor. "Gotta say, i'm really glad to see you two!" She said, she'd have given her father a hug too,but he didn't seem to be in the mood, maybe it was the party's formalities? Maybe it was the vampires? Or maybe she just needed to get used to his normal attitude again. She caught a glimpse of William and his fancy attire and waved to him as well. She also noticed Remy when he'd made his way in too. But she'd snag him up for a dance later.

Fang glanced at Victor as he walked off. "Damon wants to propose peace between mutants, vampires, and humans. Obviously it'd be easier to persuade mutants, so that's his main course of action tonight." She said. "Though there are humans here...i can smell them." She said. "He wanted it to be formal, classy, all that, to show that, well, he means business." She explained to him. "There's nothing much else to it than that, that i know of."

Maze sat at the very back of the ballroom, leaning up against a wall casually, taking a small tip from his vodka and coke every now and then. He wasn't used to such formal occasions but had made some effort in dressing up, swapping his signiture tank-tops for a black and white shirt and his torn jeans for an expensive looking pair of suit trousers.
Really, Maze wasn't too sure why he had decided to come. He had never been a big fan for socialising, let alone in such a fancy setting, however he knew that there was something important about tonight which set it apart from every other party going on this evening. He never got invitations to social events, mainly due to him not keeping many acquaintances. Life was easier without having to worry about other people. Maybe it was the curiosity of who had actually sent out his invitation that had brought him here tonight. Time would surely tell.
Maze's train of thought was distracted by a loud wolf whistle. Turning his head to look across the ballroom he caught sight of man in a rather peculiar attire, dressed head to toe in old fashioned clothing, yet still managing to look spectacularly elegant. The man was watching as an attractive young woman stormed towards him, looking angry to say the least. "Looks like someone's pissed someone off," Maze muttered to himself, "I wonder if they're here for the same reason as I am..."

Cobra looked up to Taylor as he gave her a hug, but she didn't entirely return it. She was just a bit uncomfortable... "Hola..." she muttered in a foul tone, before noticing someone coming up to them.
"..." Maze?... She knew that name. "Maze?... I see. You were invited too. You're a telekinetic, right?" she asked, her natural reptilian voice coming out in hisses. "We're here to hear a proposal of an alliance between mutants and vampires. The MRD has gotten out of hand with trying to exterminate us both. If we have an alliance, we can work together to hopefully be able to co-exist without any problems... I'm sure you've heard of the recent city bombing? The MRD bombed parts of the city to try and kill off mutants and vampires, using vervain and fire. However they only succeeded in killing off mostly humans," she says to him, looking a bit more calm at the moment, maybe because her mind wasn't focused on the dreadful outfit she was wearing, but back on business.
She then realized she didn't exactly introduce herself. "I'm Cobra. You may know of me. I own the mutant bar under the city, and now head The Brotherhood," she tells him, catching his glance towards the door. A small grin played her lips. "If I could, I'd leave as well..."

Maze nodded to himself, listening to what Cobra had to say. The MRD were the bombers, eh? He had spent much time taking the lives of MRD members across the city and if he was tempted to leave before, that had instantly changed.
"Telekinetic, yes..." Maze coughed, surprised the girl had heard of him. He had spent much of his time alone, but his recent activity across the city had obviously gained him a name for himself. Although he wished to converse further, he found it hard not to think about the fact there were many like himself in the room and he hadn't even realise that. Hell, there were vampires in this ballroom. Not just "in the same room" infact. They were all interacting amongst one another without any trouble rising. Could this ridiculous proposal actually work?
Shaking the thought from his head, he turned his attention back to the girl named Cobra. Her voice was unusual, but he couldn't help but find himself intrigued by her. "The mutant bar? Venom, right?" Maze questioned. If it were the place he was thinking of, he'd spent the night there once before, trying his hand at finding out who else like him existed in the city. "And yeah. I don't know. This isn't exactly my scene. But if what you say is true... I guess it's best I stick around."

Cobra nodded with the confirmation that he was infact who she'd heard of. That menacing little bug she'd heard of from the MRD. Though Cobra herself had found his activity amusing. She let go of Remy's arm as she took a couple steps towards Maze.
"That's it~" she chimed in the same hissy voice, which would only sound sadistic because of it. She always felt a bit proud when mutants knew of her bar, she opened it for that reason, so they could just go somewhere and not have to worry about anything like the MRD. And even with the bombings, her bar was perfectly safe, and those that were in it at the time were perfectly unharmed, even oblivious to what was happening above them in the streets.
She chuckled a hiss to him. "Believe me, there's nothing more I'd like to do right now than to rip this horrid thing off, put on some jeans and and get the hell out of here. I hate anything formal. I've managed to go fifty-one years without being involved in one, and as soon as I meet a vampire... Bam, my best friend beats me to near death just so she can see me in a dress," she carried on, glancing around. She herself could pull out every vampire in this place, it wasn't hard for her. She was mildly amused at seeing mutants and vampires conversing without knowing about them selves and who they were talking with. She wondered how'd they react when they did find out...
