Personality: An overall nice guy, Nolan tends to be perceptive, gentle, and idealistic. He is certainly compassionate, sympathetic, and impressionable, willing to go the extra mile to help someone in need. And he enjoys doing things in an orderly and methodical manner. The problem is that he can be impractical for no reason at all, hyper-sensitive, and just plain gullible. And Nolan is quite an escape artist - great at getting out of sticky situations, and half the time he's daydreaming and avoiding people.
Physical Description: Nothing too special, Nolan looks like your regular teenage kid. His medium length black hair can get out of control sometimes, especially with bedhead, and he has blue eyes behind his glasses. Active, healthy, but by no means some athlete. He's at that common awkward phase when adolescents go through a growth spurt. He's getting kind of gangly and thin with his long lanky limbs. Average really is the best word.
What he wears is a black undershirt, a gray and red vest, and gray jeans with brown sneakers. Over that he wears a long black duster with cuffs, red fingerless gloves, and a crimson bandanna. He carries most of his possessions in a hunter-green messenger bag, as well as a small brown leather satchel around his waist, and he keeps his Pokédex on a lanyard around his neck so he won't lose it.

• Nolan was born in Lavender Town, since both his parents are passionate about helping abused and orphaned pokemon. Expanding on Mr. Fuji's work, they've opened their own Volunteer House and sometimes assist by tending to the outside of the House of Memories. The Grey family make a comfortable income by rehabilitating abandoned pokemon and charging a modest fee for trainers who want to adopt them. Nolan has one older sister, Riley, who is nineteen and obsessed with Ghost pokemon. And one younger brother, Hayden, who is ten.
• Because Lavender Town is also infamous for its Ghost pokemon, it isn't too strange that Nolan is extra careful not to be caught outside after dark. He doesn't exactly fear Ghost types, but he's been taught to avoid them for his own safety.
• Nolan's favorite pokemon is Magikarp and its evolution, because he's envious how such a seemingly worthless fish can turn into the mighty Gyarados. Many of the trainers that left pokemon with his parents had found beaten and bruised Magikarp along Route 12 in Kanto. With so many of the fish pokemon coming in, Nolan has become sort of an expert on them. As a good-luck gift, Nolan was given the Repeat Ball of his favorite pokemon. Nolan's childhood friend, Dosu the Magikarp has been with the Grey family for years after a tragic accident with a wild Pidgeot and an Angler fighting over Dosu on the line. Dosu as a Gyarados has retrained his large scar. It runs down from the right corner of his bottom lip to his right barbel.

Personality: A peculiar and charismatic character, Joe Havoc is a competent and accomplished Pokémon trainer. He puts in serious effort to achieve his extravagant showmanship for battles, and is as much an entertainer as he is a trainer. Off the stage, he is a rather nice, warm-hearted guy, jovial, easy-going, flirtatious, and somewhat erratic. Joe is a daredevil and gambler, and despite his madcap antics, luck often is on his side. Joe absolutely loves the challenge of harnessing the powers of notoriously violent and ferocious Pokémon.
Physical Description: Average in height, trim, and lean, his most noticeable characteristics is his lustrous cherry red hair, then the long black overcoat, and his unnatural orange and black eyes. In his full Gym Leader attire he is clean-shaven, and paints his eye sockets with a bloody red flourish. Sometimes he uses theater makeup to whiten his sun-tanned, freckled complexion. His canine teeth are sharpened fangs, and he has several gold ring piercings in both his ears.
Dramatically dressed in an off-white button-up long sleeved shirt, over that he wears a long flowing black sleeveless duster, a belted armband, and a black sash around his waist. At his neck he wears a gold and onyx pendant. Finishing off the look, he wears grey pinstripe slacks, polished Oxford shoes, and white spats.

GYM RULES -- Joesph Havoc, Jr. uses four Dark Pokémon to battle. The challenger may use up to four Pokémon of their choosing. Items and forfeiting are not allowed.
• Joseph became enchanted with the Etrua region and instantly fell in love with the gambling in Deres City. But alas Lady Luck was not with him. He spent every last coin trying to win it big in the casinos, and on a desperate bet lost his prized Porygon-Z. Broke, he began a search for a real and honest job to pay off his substantial debts if he was going to get his Pokémon returned. He came across a poster calling for tough trainers to attend auditions for gym leader, and showed up on a whim. To his surprise an official letter from the League was delivered to him within a day. Joe Havoc was approved.
• The Gym Leader in Deres doesn't exactly have an affinity for Dark types, however, he adopted the Obscure badge to respect the local custom. Committing his time to the gym, he quickly captured and trained other Dark Pokémon to fill out his roster. However, now and again, when his gym leader duties don't keep him in Deres, Joe goes on the search for new Dark Pokémon. And when he cannot leave the city, he often enlists trainers to catch specific Pokémon for him.
• Joe's Pokémon tend to imitate his wild flair, and most work as his personal assistants now. Although he does not employ other trainers to help run his gym, Joe offers training sessions, practice battles, and lends his expertise to those interested in Dark Pokémon. Or he'll just help by troubleshooting those uncontrollable problem Pokémon on their teams.
• Joseph Havoc, Senior was a famous deepsea diver extraordinaire, but as he aged, he at last married in his fifties and retired in Dewford Town. Joesph Havoc, Jr. is an only child.

Physical Description: [Outfit Link] Quite the charmer and fast talker, Gage is a handsome young man with youthful good looks. His honey blond locks, dusky tan, and violet eyes give him an exotic flair to his features. He likes to wear round lensed sunglasses to hide his eyes, to better mask his expression when he's lying. He wears a lavender and indigo headband, and a silver headset. His outfit consists of a long-sleeved black shirt with a popped collar, and a brown mini-poncho over his shoulders. His corduroy pants are a dark green, and are tucked into heavy knee-high gray boots. And completing the look, he has a gray belt to hold his Poke Balls and a small satchel attached to that.

• Gage loves to deal, barter, haggle, and trade pokemon. A collector and a trainer, he's in it to find the rarest and best pokemon in recorded history. Yet, if a deal seems too good to be true, that's probably the fact. Gage will rip off anyone he thinks is a sucker, and he'll steal what he can't fairly get.
• The law eventually caught up with Gage once after making a rotten deal. Because he couldn't prove where any of his pokemon had come from, they were all confiscated as evidence. Instead of standing trial for his crimes, or proving that some of his pokemon were legitimately captured, Gage ditched town and fled from Sinnoh to the Etura Region. After that, Gage picked the wrong target again, desperately attempting to steal any pokemon at all from a Team Celestia hideout. Yet after he fought off several members with the untrained Speal he stole, instead of stuffing the would-be thief in the meat-grinder, Gage was given the choice to join the Team. Naturally, he accepted.
• Not only an avid collector, Gage loves technology and always has to have the latest and greatest. His headset is a product of his own obsession, something he made back home in Sinnoh. It's a radio receiver, communications device, basic pokedex, and a music player all in one.

Physical Description: Joltik are yellow, furry mite-like Pokémon, and are small, being the smallest known Pokémon. They have blue eyes, two of which are occeli. They have two face-down points for a mouth, and their four limbs are tipped with blue.

• Hatched in western Etura, Joltik did belong to a young girl at one point. However because of the 'Tik's bug status, a "much cuter" Pikachu was picked over him as her pet. He was released in Blyse City, and it's his very small size that lets him have full run all throughout the city, hard to catch and hard to see.
Joltik doesn't hold it against the female trainer for not liking bugs, and he didn't know her for very long. Now he runs with several troublesome Rattata and Pichu as friends, and a grumpy old Raichu who showed Joltik the ropes.
• Joltik has had a simple life of eating electricity in the city and scavenging from trash bins. But he's been bored. He's taken it as a bad thing that he already reached three years old and was still the weakest of the weak. Some of his friends have evolved and left the city, making him jealous. Joltik wants to see the world - preferably stuck to the back of a giant flying pokemon.
