I don't know how many times I find myself in the middle of a conversation, and something RD just pops out of my mouth!
For ex. I'm talking to someone who's being a bit obtuse, and I hear myself saying,
" Well, go on then. Shake your head and walk out ." Future Echoes
Suddenly I know the meaning of words like git and prat, and use them in everyday conversation. (Note: most Americans do NOT get it! smile )
Anyone else find themselves using Red Dwarfisms?

Well, I learned "git" and "prat" from Harry Potter... but I do use a lot of Dwarfisms, myself. I say "smeg" and sometimes I call people "gimboids." Sometimes I quote it. No one but my sister gets it, though. xd

I use the word smeg a lot,
In extreem circumstances i use the quote "smeggin hell, what the smeggin smegs he smeggin done!" blaugh

Yeah, I'm slightly obsessed... sweatdrop I do it with my other fandoms too. From Lord of the Rings I tell people to "auta miquila orqu" (go kiss an orc) and from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I say froody, hoopy, zark off, hello ground, and 'Do you know where your towel is?' And I tend to threaten people with my replica Sonic Screwdriver (from Doctor Who - I carry it everywhere with me!) or with threats of towel-whippings (I keep a towel in my school bag sweatdrop )...
Oh God - I'm a total sci-fi geek! xd sweatdrop Lol!!!

the words i use more than anything else seem to be red dawf swear words...lol... as substitutes for real swear words, because teachers can hardly give your detention for calling them a smeg head...lol

I was walking home with my friend one, and she suddenly said smeg in a sentance. I was so supprised I hugged her and started screaming about Red Dwarf.
I find myself quoteing lots of comedy stuff for no reason otehr than it rocks.
When I asked annother friend to describe me, he said "You are a 5' 7" tall ape decendant" and I laughed so hard I cryed, because I recognised it as a hitchhikers referance without a moments thought.
Memorable moment when I have quoted Dwarf include at school at a computer, "If you don't start working I'm going to have you melted down into 1000 tamigotchis, and starve them all to death one by one."...that got me alot of odd looks, and a couple of laughs.
And when my friend pissed me off "You smeee heeee"
Its amazing how few people get the referances.

Smeghead is probably my most used Dwarfism. I also enjoy calling people polyps on the a**s of humanity, which i think is from the books, but maybe was in the series. I can't seem to remember at the moment, my head's gone to mush. When someone has a bad idea I tell them they're trying to make wet-look knitwear. smile
