Alright so the War of the Five Kings breaks out. We have to ask the standard question here of which king would you support for the throne? Why par tell did you make your choice. And try not to choose simply on because that person is dead and this one is still alive.

I myself would voice my support for Stannis because he is the legitimate claimant for the throne. I feel he is the kind of man who would never lie to get ahead in the world and does stuff because he has a duty to do it for the people. Thus saying that I feel his preaching of the fact that the Baratheon children are the illegitimate children of Cersei and Jamie, I would believe it whole heartily.

Of course this would all be null and void if I live in The North or the Iron Islands since they are trying for secession and not the Iron Throne, I would side with where i'm from in those two cases, but altogether I would support Stannis

It's one of those things. Depending on where I'm from really. The North Robb because of what they did to Ned. Kings Landing would have to throw in with Joffery. Thats really the fasinating thing about these books. Just about everyone is right in their own way. There are no real bad guys except of course for Cersei and Little Finger.

I don't feel either are particularly a bad guy. Cersei is just, like Catelyn, extreme when it comes to her children and maybe requires the power of the court to keep them safe.

Littlefinger is just a schemer as well not really a bad guy.

We do have choices.

Joffrey is Joffrey, and that's enough said there. Never in a million years.

Renly is a likeable guy, but not fit to rule a country. He doesn't take things seriously enough.

Stannis is one of my two that I could ever see myself supporting. He is dry, cold, and utterly by-the-book, but he has a legitimate blood claim to the throne.

Robb is who I would probably want most as a king, however. First off, his father is Ned freakin' Stark, and Ned did a fantastic job of raising his children. He knows right from wrong, honor from shame, and knows how to be fair and kind without being too lax like Renly. He is young, and that is not exactly in his favor, but he has a good head on his shoulders.

Balon? Ffft, whatever. Like he deserves to sit the Iron Throne. I view all of Pyke as hangers-on to the story line. I wouldn't miss them much if they all sank into the sea.

Robb stark would be my choice sure he may be young but he also listens to those with more experience.

Renly would be a good king not the best but not the worst more then likely giving the people what they wanted and winning their love.

Stannis he would restore order but he would not have his people's love nor would he care for plus there is the fact that he seems to be pushing a new god on those who would rather keep their own.

Joffery his small council will keep him in check by which i mean tyrion but only for so long.

Balon just simply put NO.

I feel the same way. I support Stannis entirely (I still do after reading the 5th book). I also like very much how he deals with justice. He seems like the only person worthy of being king.

I like Robb and would be happy with him staying King of the North but Renly would make the best king. First everyone likes Renly. He's fair, kind, and friendly. Second he has Margaery who all the good things about him could be said about her as well. That's the ultimate power couple. And third he'll do what needs to be done. Stannis won't do anything he doesn't feel is honorable. You can't play the game without crossing that line.

Technically i wouldn't choose if i could avoid it, because stannis is the only one with a truly legitimate blood claim, but Robb Stark is the only one of the group who i would ever be willing to follow of my own accord, and he doesn't seem to have any claim, other than maybe that Lord Eddard was the hand. Renly still smells of summer (i forget who said that, probably Catelyn in her inner monologue), Joffrey is cruel and childish, and greyjoy is an iron man. i like the iron folk for the most part, but i wouldn't want one as a king

Well Robb Stark is not claiming the Iron Throne, he is claiming the original territory of the North as a sovereign state in itself separate from the Iron Throne, so no real worries about his claims.
