What was this? Argent really didn't understand. Wasn't this... war? He was weapon, right? They all were. But it didn't seem like it. The ship was so calm. Fairly deserted, but calm all the same. Peace. That's what this was called, wasn't it? It seemed strange, and the silver-haired boy felt uneasy. He needed to be doing something. Anything! At the moment, he was wandering aimlessly, riding the elevator, walking the floors of the ship. But that wasn't enough. Wasn't good enough for the restless boy. That's when he found himself gripping the frame of the front of the ship as he was half blinded by the natural light of the planet's sun. He blinked his pale eyes several times, but all he was seeing was green. It was a shock, given how... sterile the ship is. He took an unsure step out into the area protected by the shield dome. The contrast of sounds was amazing. On the ship, he could hear the buzzing and whirling of gears and lights, the doors as they opened and closed.
There was none of that out here. A rustle as the wind blew. Some form of aerial animal gave a lyrical cry. This was not what Argent was expecting. By the time he had grown accustom to the brighter light of the sun, he had wandered from the ship's entrance and was looking around at the trees. The greens and browns, the grey rocks, and the red of the... what was that? The red in the tree... Argent looked for a small couple of stones before walking towards it cautiously.

Soothe had been sleeping. Trees were still calming to him - infinitely so - and so he spent most of his time loafing outside unless he was otherwise needed. It was a childish existence, even more so when one counted that he was an adult now, but he was happy with it. His head didn't hurt near trees and he could handle them, handle their quiet whispering, and enjoyed speaking back to them. He felt like he could breathe freely, without his chest feeling like there was a huge weight on it.
But Argent's disturbed presence woke him up. It wasn't a pinpointed "38 degrees to the south" feeling. . . Just that someone was nearby and someone was very unhappy or discontented . . . He sat up, his green eyes scanning the scenery around him pointedly as the beads on his wrist clinked together softly. The Ship was still so small, so few seeds were up and about, that he knew he should calm down but - but the feelings were already in his head. It was hard - he wanted to be Soothe, feel Soothe things, not . . . not the things of someone else.

Soothe blinked as the other genome demanded an answer so coolly of him, as though the child were the adult and Soothe was still just a child afraid of displeasing the operator, displeasing Ghost. Soothe paused for a long moment, narrow green eyes blinking dumbly as he tried to process who this was or what they meant by their question-that-was-not-a-question.
His voice was soft, barely carried by the wind when he finally did speak. "I was taking a nap." He said this matter-of-factly as though he were wondering who didn't take naps in trees on a daily basis, but didn't mean it. In fact, the second the words left his mouth with that tone, he went a red only slightly lighter than his hair; his head was starting to ache and he supposed he was just acting on the vibe he was getting from the other genome. Still though, it wasn't a very good first impression to make on someone else, he supposed.
"My name is Soothe," he said simply, with a small, forced smile. "I often take naps in the trees because it is usually quiet out here." There was a pause before he added, slightly awkwardly, "Would you mind terribly if i stayed up here?"
