This is my post to acknowledge that I have seen the thread, though I am technically still waiting on your thoughts about the Raptures vs. Blessings as well as the names of each individual one.

Then we get to figure out subgroups, and after that I have to decide for sure if they belong to the Lady or not, and oh this will be entertaining. :3

Beauties makes them sound like a group of performing strippers. rofl

I think Fortune sounds better than Luck, especially because, well, luck can be bad. So can fortune, of course, but usually when you hear 'fortune', it seems like it should be good. Or is that just me?

Yes, that looks like about how they would pair up to me. Now, that's not to say they would be actively against each other or fighting all the time or whatever - just that for every sad thing, there's a happy thing, too.

As far as subgroups go, they should probably each get three as well. I guess we should also discuss how they look and how they're summoned, so that when I put up stuff about them (after we've surprised everyone in the RP by throwing them in there) their post looks something like the one for the Sorrows.

Oh, Chaos's thoughts on them? It's...well, I mean, It's cool with them. It doesn't like them all that much and isn't too pleased that they're around - It much prefers the Sorrows - but the Lady says they need to have the Blessings in order to balance out the Sorrows, and since she is the rock that keeps all the rest of them grounded, they tend to listen to what she says - since without her, we have situations like what happened in the Creation myth before she was a goddess. You remember, with the world being desert and Chaos enjoying it all far too much and the man It chose to try and straighten things out going crazy? Yeah. That.

And oh dear God please no. Please don't make the poor unsuspecting Chaos children have to do interpretive dance to get the Blessings to come out - it's probably embarrassing enough for them that they have to sing in the middle of battle to get the Sorrows. XD

I'm probably going to make them animalistic as well, yes - although all the Sorrows can change their appearance at will, so the Blessings probably can too. I'm forced to assume that the Blessings would not be much good in battle, so they don't get battle forms unless you think otherwise. wink

As far as subunits go, they only really need three each.

Peace:

I like Harmony. I think Balance and Love go nicely here as well. So we'll go with those three.

Peace would probably be a deer or something. Something that's a symbol of pretty and shy and sweet.

Prosperity:

Hope, I like. I like Growth, too. Maybe we can also put Abundance in here, or Bounty - one of those two.

Hmm. What's an animal that would be good for prosperity? Any thoughts on that?

Fortune:

Miracle sounds nice. Also Chance, I think, and maybe...um...yeah. Hmm. This one's a tough one. Kindness, maybe. Something like that.

Also, I don't care what anyone says, Fortune is a damn cat. That is all. Like a house cat. There will be no discussion. XP

Vitality:
I think Beauty goes well here. Strength might go well here also, and maybe Spirit.

Then I need an animal that embodies all that. I mean, it may be a symbol of my obsession that the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is a horse. XD But Famine likes that shape. But...hell, it wouldn't hurt anything if they were both horses. Vitality would be a much prettier horse. Ooh, maybe it could be a pegasus or something!

Yes. Yes, it would. But it would be so cruel. >.> Huh. It would be like a lifelong musical - I mean, we already have songs that they all basically know, and then they have to learn these choreographed dance steps...

They would be TERRIBLE in battle. They're much better at dancing around throwing flowers or...whatever it is that peaceful immortal creatures do all day, I dunno. Singing Kumbaya?

But theoretically if you were twisted enough, you COULD make them good for battle. I mean, Peace would make them lose their will to fight. Prosperity could theoretically make them so fat that they couldn't fight at all and would have to have their corpses rolled off the field. Like that. >.> Vitality might be a bad choice, though. Maybe use Vitality on your own soldiers. XD

I like Bounty, too. Even though it kinda reminds me of the paper towels.

For Peace (Harmony, Balance, Love): NOT a swan. Swans are vicious bastards and no one should ever like them. I should have made Slaughter a swan. THAT is how scary swans are. O.o I like the idea of a doe, personally, but I think that a dove would actually probably be best.

For Prosperity (Hope, Growth, Bounty): Maybe we could stick the doe in here? Or a stag - some big hunting animal that would guarantee meat for a long time. Something like that.

Fortune (Miracle, Chance and...I dunno, whatever): DEFINITELY a kitty. Oh, come on, it basically has to be. Oh hey, what about Trust? Could Trust be the third one? Because you always hear people say how you have to do everything you can do and then just trust to luck. >.>

Vitality (Beauty, Strength, Spirit): I want a damn pegasus. Vitality is going to be a freakin' pegasus.

So I figure Peace and Fortune are the ladies of this crew, and Vitality and Prosperity are the males. Yes, it is shameless gender-stereotyping. I dun care. It fits. And I made Slaughter a girl, so it's all good. XD

Yeah, that's basically as far as I've gotten with how Chaos feels about them - though I have no doubt the Lady likes them very much. :3 I like to imagine that way back when, when the Daughter went down to the human plane, the Blessings were sometimes like "We wanna go too!" and she was like, "No. You guys are USELESS." And then they went sulking to the Lady and she was like "Honey, just take them with you. It'll make them happy. Take Famine too so that you have an actual guard, but take them with you. They'll come home when they get bored." And the human plane had an unexpected leap of good things happening that year. >.>

XD "Kumbayaaaa..." *shot* I like the idea of sigils and runes in the air, though - that would probably also help explain how Raederle first figures out that she can summon them, as I imagine her being the kind of person who waves her hands around in random patterns when she's talking.

Yeah, no, they regularly cancel rowing practice in some universities because there's a swan in the river. Rowing teams tend to be made up of men (or women) built like large trees. O.o So yes, a dove it is.

I think I like stags better, too. They just look so graceful. I don't like buffalo so much, mostly because I've seen them when driving down to university and they PISS ME OFF. Such a pain when one of them wanders into the highway. >.< Have to wait until the damn thing moves its a** off the road.

It can appear any way it wants to, but it would probably be a white/brown/light grey kitty. :3 And okay then, Trust it is!
