Silly Woman

Silly woman with your hopes so high
Yet aged to perfection
Why can't you see that death is a part of life
You're blinding yourself with your rage
Your hatred
For this natural part of being
Your husband you loved dear
Yet God loves him more
He didn't take him to punish you
Not to make you sad
He simply called another angel home
Yet you, silly woman, don't understand this
You say you hate death
And wonder why those who are lesser still roam this land
Can't you see, silly woman, that this life is someone's hell
That you're making it your hell
Your husband hasn't left you
But you're leaving him, silly woman
Open your eyes and see that he's still with you
And leave your fears, worries and doubts behind
Mourn his death, shed your tears if that makes you feel better
But silly woman, remember that he's in your heart

Thanks Xiphy =) It was a journal entry, but I figured I would put it here with the rest of the poems. Was the message in it clear to you?

Thank you, Red =) And you have no idea. This woman acts like a teenager whose first bf just dumped her. She's elderly and it makes you wonder how long she's been wearing her rose tinted glasses. Thought she could use some positive thinking in the real world.

Xiphy: Sweet deal, thanks. My mom said that I should let her see it so I guess I'll give it to her on the last day of classes.

Yeah, Stephen Colbert, the comedian. XP Fin might go crazy if she knew they had an item of him on here.

How is she? Is she alright now?

Not sure, I haven't spoken to her in a long while. I'll try to contact her to see how she's doing.

Pff, forget about Fin, I wasn't talking about her. XP

I was talking about the lady the "poem" was directed to. XD Unless it's the same thing for her as well.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 10, 2009 4:58 pm
rofl Specify next time! and I can't wait for Fin to come back and beat you with a foam bat for being so harsh towards her razz

The lady the poem is directed to....her husband has been dead for 13 years and she still carries on as if he just died last week or something. She's so blinded that she can't see what a wonderful marriage she had and that she should feel honored to have had someone like that in her life (they were married for a loooooong time). I really just want to tell her to get over it. I mean, I'm sure it will always make her sad and that's okay. But, at some point most people stop reflecting on "he's gone and will never walk this earth again" and start reflecting on "i'm so blessed to have had such a wonderful person to spend all of those years with". Oh, but not her. Mention her husband and the freakin' sprinklers get turned on.

And what do you mean by "poem"? stare

xDD Whats with all this harshness towards Fin??

Anyway, I didn't know this was a true story kinda thing. So this "lady" is someone you know huh? Maybe she needs some professional help or something? Maybe to try and convince her that she shouldn't be all caught up in this and has to move on 'cause thats what her husband would've wanted, kinda thing..

Oh no worries, Fin will never read these posts of mine. cool and...well, I just wanted to be right on the technical side XD That's all. Hehe..heh..

It's like you said Nicky, there's a whole lot more for her to be thankful for, after spending all those years with him, than for her to continue to act as though he died within a day of their marriage.

xd xd If you say so, you never know when she might just pop up

I agree. I mean, getting all caught up about it for years is not going to bring him back nor will it make things any better. Its time she moved on and find happiness again
