It's about time we had a Harry Potter thread.

So go, discuss and be merry!

As a starting point... which house do you think you'd be in? Or which house ARE you in, if you're a big HP nerd like me?

Ravenclaw all the way
PostPosted: Sat Nov 19, 2011 11:46 pm

I'm a Ravenclaw, with a very close Gryffindor. There was only a five point difference between the two, but I would pick Ravenclaw.

My tests are always a landslide towards Hufflepuff, with Slytherin usually dead last. However, I've been liking what I'm hearing about Slytherpuff...

According to the test you linked I'm a Gryffindor with Hufflepuff in second place.

Pottermore sorted me into Slytherin. Although, I thought that I would be in Ravenclaw...

By the way, nice poll! I like Hugh Laurie >.<

There's a lot of Ravenclaws in here... me included. The test gave me Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and then Slythering.

I've been planning on re-reading the HP's but haven't started on those yet. I wonder if they will be still as good as on the first time reading.

I could be a Ravenclaw, but in general I live my life more like a Hufflepuff.

I definitely recommend re-reading the series! There's a lot of stuff that you don't pick up on the first time through. You can definitely tell that JKR had the whole story planned out from the beginning.

I wish I had the HP series in English. That would make the whole story "new" while reading it as it's original language. Also, I mostly read all of my books in english these days... which is creating bit of a issue for me when I'm writing my own novel/book/what ever... I've lost the "richness" in my own language to explain the story line as I would like. sweatdrop Mostly I've forgotten the adjectives and synonyms to "paint the picture"

The audiobooks are really good! I put them all on my iPod and listened to them last year when I had a really long walk to and from school every day. They were how I "re-read" the series and it was really fun.

Hmm, that's an good idea! I have about 40min commute into one direction every day so I would have plenty of time to do that.

Okay, so yesterday I started reading the HP books I already have at my home. I started with the first one and at start I was like "hmph, the text is bit childish". Then I read on and I couldn't help of thinking what would happen to the characters in the following books and giggled at Ron & Hermonies fighting. Slowly but very firmly I got completely sucked into the story and when I finally had to put the book down, I had almost read the whole first book! Now I remember why the series was and still is really, really, good. whee
