Ok i really really didnt want Jonathan to die when he did. If anyone should hav died i think they should hav gotten rid of lional and just be done wit him. Or even lex.
What do u think?

I really didn't want Jonathan to die but you can't just kill off Lex he's too important of a character. Especially later on in the future because he becomes one of Clarks biggest enemies.

...Lex is the Arch nemesis of superman..you cant just kill off one of Supermans biggest enemies...
I think it was right that Jonothan died, because one of them needed to die.

If they had gotten rid of Lex then there would be no show. I really think they should have gotten rid of Lana because she is annoying and technically does not play that big of role in future superman events. Al Gough and Miles Miller made lana More of a main character in Smallville then she ever was in the comics. in the Comics Lana was only Clarks high school crush

But sh eis another connection to the Luthors. She is keeping the luthors involved. because she has lionel helping her out with her senatorship and it is a posative relationship....sort of. But it wouldn't be a good connection if Jonathon were alive

Yeah now she is a good connection. But before she wasn't. All she did was help out at the talon and talk to clark when jonathon wasn't there.

I mean Jonathon gave his pep talks to Clark on how to handle real life situations. But he has Chloe that can help him with that too. and like Margot Kiddder aka Lois Lane aka Bridgette Crosby said "there is nothing stronger then a mother's Love" and i think Clark really needs the support of his mom since his mom is like his teddy bear

guys...johnathen was suppose to die, he dies in the comics, he dies in the old movie, and surprisingly they do it right, a heart attack, they couldntkill of Lana cause someone told me shes in the comics, you cant kill off martha well maybe you could but still, and Lex? Seriosuly you guys are smallville fans please at least look into what goes on later on...but thats my daily rant

All i was saying is that not every superman story goes the same and even though smallville followed the basis lines, Jonathon does not die in every version.

mmm its very controversial in my mind. I can think of times when she doesn't need to be thre but i can think of times when she does. But the reason Smallville doesn't stay with the superman story is that there are so many different tellings that gough and millar are just creating an image for themselves
