i wanted to get them or braces at least but my mom won't get them for me because she is like "dont fix what isn't broken". i might get them after highschool, i only have some bucky canines meeeeh

how do they feel?

I used those as retainers after I got my braces off for about 4 years? Then about five years ago my orthodontist didn't think they were working well enough for my bottom teeth, so I got a regular retainer.

Still have the invisalign one for my top teeth, though.

When you no longer have to keep them in all the time (like only when you sleep like I have for the past 10 years), keep them in a mix of water and mouthwash during the day. That'll keep them from getting funky and smelly. Might turn them colors, though...Like if I use the purple Listerine they're purpleish when I put them in before bed but clear again by morning.

If you want them, get them! I'm 21 and paying them off myself~
They don't hurt at all! The worst part is sometimes when I take them out to eat it hurts to chew.
But that's only for a couple days after you get a new aligner, so just plan ahead with softer food choices and nbd.

That's a good idea.
I just brush them with my toothbrush while I'm doing my teeth, haha.

They are similar to braces, but they can't do as much as braces. Invisalign is better for minor treatments. It's not really used for:

- severe overbite, underbite or crowding
- open bite
- closing gaps greater than 6mm
- large rotations of premolars and canines
- changing bite of the back teeth

Plus they are generally more expensive. I personally rather have to pay less and wear my braces longer than pay more and have Invisalign for a shorter time (not that I was a candidate anyways, just saying) But yeah, my braces were about $3500, and if I was able to get Invisalign it would have been $5000 - $6000

My teeth aren't AWFUL, but they're certainly not straight.
My bottom teeth are the worst.
And yes, they work like braces!
I get new aligners every 3 weeks and I'll probably wear them for a year and a half.

Mine cost $3,800 ($1,500 off promotion, yeaaah mayne)

I'm not due for a check up until February, but I will definitely bring this up. I've talked about braces/invisilign really briefly with the nurses, they checked my file and told me my dental is amazing so it wouldn't be terrible expensive.
My top teeth are a little twisted, but not terribly noticeable.
I'm really excited now!
I never thought I'd be thankful that someone made a post about dental hygiene on Gaia haha, but this is more informative than the nurses were really.

And yes, I'm newish. I was in HaHa but was treated like a leppor, so I checked out LSG 3nodding

That. And I could never afford braces. My upper teeth are really straight but I have a nasty overbite. So, Invisaline would never work for me and I'm too embarrassed to get braces at 23.
