Amidst of all of the topics spanning WHICH MANGA AND ANIME DO YOU LIKE. I am surprised to see that there are not many that inquire about the dislikes of particular series. For every like or love for a series of manga or anime there has to be a dislike or an absolute hate as well. And well what are they? (Disclaimer; We may not all agree on who finds what good or bad)

I hated;

Dragon Ball and all its series and offshoots, Why? Because it felt like every episode was just about the main character and the villain of the week saying they are better, no I am better and AHHH CHARGING UP MY KAMEHAMEHA!!!! SPIRIT BOMB. Perhaps when I was younger I may have mindlessly enjoyed it but now as an adult and attempting to re-watch it. I find that it is utterly stupid.

Lucky Star need I say more. Nothing happened in any of its episodes what so ever. It was really just about the insipid day to day lives of these girls who were really just mediocre at best. It could have been better and I felt like I wasted my time watching it.

Evangelion some would say that this anime was spectacular, awesome and the turning point for all anime's. But really it was just boring, overly dramatic and dragged on.

Yu Yu Hakusho

Rurouni Kenshin; I am going to be honest, I got forced in to watching this anime due to an ex who was obsessed with it and its movies.

Black Butler has so many yaoi undertones for me its almost sickening, and has a cliched storyline about an angry or super 'rich' kid who has a demon under his 'control'

Scryed

Wolfs Rain; Wolves protrayed with human looks, what.

Homestuck Is this even an anime? I tried watching this, or 'playing' it and found my self completely confused with it

And there is probably more but I tend to forget the ones I disliked in favor of remember the ones I liked.

Evas jst 2 deep 4 u talk2hand

I can kinda understand why you hate it though, the earlier episodes can be extremely boring, but the story starts to pick up around episodes 5 and 6.
Even though you don't like the show, I would still recommend that you try watching the Rebuild series of movies. Extremely high-quality animation, all the psycho-babble bullshit has been cut down, unnecessary angel fights have been removed, and the characters are made a bit more likeable. So far I've enjoyed the movies much more than the original series.

I just read all of Demon Ororon. I had a clip of this in an anime sampler and was interested. Recently I found out a friend had it and borrowed it. I finished it in a day... and this HAS TO BE the WORST MANGA I'VE EVER READ.

And I've read snipets of Bobobo-bo-bobobo.

The art is good, until you realize that all the artist can draw is badly proportioned manga characters, so there really isn't any visual enjoyment, either.

But the story! Ugh, that story. I'm not a fan of a god-mode sue, but the only thing worse is a god-mode sue is one who CAN'T DO SH*T on command. She brings someone back from the dead, KILLS over 100,000 people with a single scream, then starts crying when no one else bothers to save her demon boyfriend as his own brother kills him. WTF? The brother is killing him because he WANTS THE GIRL'S POWER. They had even gone as far as stating that her power rivaled god's, and god was totally talking to her in her head. (you'll have to read that)

There's also another brother who's on the guy's side, he's even bartering with a demon sent to kill him to switch around and save him. The demon asks that before she does help, why is he so intent on helping his brother. He tells her and, instead of sending her to fight, lets his playboy half take over and says RIGHT IN THE BOOK "now open your legs!"

Because I guess the dying brother seeing this escapade out of the corner of his eye is SO going to give him the will to fight harder. *headdesk*

There's more, but I'm still in "WTF" mode over the actual ending of the manga.

I have to say the anime version of Saiyuki

I got into the series after discovering the manga version years back and I was hooked on the story line. And that's when I discovered the anime version as well. Throughout time I begin to see why that most people prefer the manga over the anime (and/or vice versa).

Not only most of certain elements are toned down a bit too much, but the animation is enough to drive people up the wall. And I used to enjoy it! And thinking back, I'm ashamed of myself for that!

vampire knight is pretty dry imo, and yuki is the most boring protagonist ever, but i read it anyways.

I don't like One Piece. It's the art style, I just can't stand it. I can't make myself read or watch it.
Dragonball. I'm sorry. The manga was just so...so... it seemed empty. :C Little to no dialogue, went on forever, still took a long time to power up.
I can't remember why, but didn't like Black God too much. I'm sure if I looked at it again, I'd remember. Bokura ga Ita is also on my x list. It was a romance.. a dry one too. Oran High School Host Club, sorry guys. Not a fan of the manga and the anime wasn't much better.

I saw Saiyuki anime. I almost cried. It looked so bad. I couldn't bring myself to read the first part of the manga, the art bugged me. I moved on to Reload and it looked great.

Ahhhh... I didn't like Tohru in Fruits Basket. I didn't hate the anime, I loved Hatsuharu, I just didn't like her. She just loved getting stepped on and was too unrealistically nice. I bet if someone shot her in the head or something she'd be flailing her arms and saying "No, no it's okay! It's not your fault! Really, it's not your fault! Hehehe..."

And Kagome in InuYasha. Again, not the anime, I loved Sango x Miroku, I just didn't like Kagome. Not sure if it was her really, I just got really annoyed with her English Dub voice.

Kimi Ni Todoke. Chibi Vampire. Boring in my opinion. Just a buncha Shoujo. D:

I'm pretty lenient when it comes to anime and I have a fairly broad taste. Most of the anime you guys have mentioned (at least the one's I've seen), I actually like or even love. However, I have seen a few anime that I hated (or at least strongly disliked).

The worst anime I've ever seen in this short film from 1962 called Human Zoo. It's only 2 minutes long, but I swear they will be the worst 2 minutes of your life. It has animation that looks like it was drawn by a five year old, and the barking dog sounds in the background can grate on your nerves.

Yoji Kuri, the guy who directed Human Zoo, also directed several other short anime films such as Aos (which has somewhat better visuals, but the background noise sounds like people having sex gonk ), The Room (not to be confused with a certain Tommy Wiseau movie, though it is just as bad), Ai (which is like Human Zoo, but with an actual plot), and several others. All of the Yoji Kuri shorts that I've seen so far range from 'meh' to down-right terrible!

As for any other anime that I don't like (though I like them better than some of the Yoji Kuri shorts), they include Funny Pets (a bad cgi mini-episode series) and Sword for Truth.

As for manga, the worst one I've read is Haunted House. It's really not that terrible, but I found it to be rather boring and dull.

I have to say for me it's The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I tried to get past the first season and failed miserably. The whole thing seemed pointless and repetitive, so I gave up trying to make head or tail of it. And do I really need to go into how much of an annoying, self-centred little b***h Haruhi is? I just can't stand the sight of her, and also that miserable whining baby Asahina Mikuru, who pretty much does the same thing in every episode: cry and blub and provide about half-if not ALL- of the show's fanservice. The only ones I were interested in seeing were the boys and Nagato Yuki.
