+Understand This+ The city is a dangerous place to wander at night. There are all kinds of unsavory folk you would never hope to cross, and a couple wrong turns could send you straight into their midst. In all cities this is true, but this one especially. Here if you're good and lost at just the wrong hour, you may stumble into Asphodel, the hidden district of demons. And trust me when I say, it's residents don't take kindly to stangers.
+More on Asphodel+ Asphodel is very large and home to many demons of all branches of mythos. Over the years it has grown to support five sub-dstricts named for the streets they are built around.
+Phlegethon - Here reside the rich and powerful demons and demigods. They make their livings as the ruling aristocracy and law-makers.
+Lethe - Here a demon can indulge in all his or her vices, losing themselves in the rich and vibrant entertainment section of Asphodel
+Cocytus - Here reside the middle class and many family-run stores. Demons here live quite comfortably.
+Acheron - Here reside the less fortunate. The shops and residences here are run-down and of far lesser comfort. This is the most crowded district.
+Styx - Here the most violent and wretched of demons reside. Ill-adjusted to their new city life, they indulge in cheap drink and pleasure while fighting and stealing in an attempt to reclaim the "glory days".

+The Rules of the Game+ 1. Follow Gaia TOS in regards to sexual content, language and gratuitous violence. Minor swearing and violence are allowed as it may be required or in-character. 2. No God-moding. If you are confused on what this is, please read the explaination provided in the Roleplay FAQ here on Burn.
3. I expect you to be proficent in English; however if it is your second or so language, please notify me and I will make exceptions and help where I can.
4. Have fun and please make an effort to interact with your fellow roleplayers. It's excellent if you have ideas for a storyline but involve others. That's the beauty of roleplaying.

+Profile Skeltons+ I am known as [Name].
I am a [number] year old [manner of creature].
I have the ability to [powers] and/but work as a [occupation or unemployeed].
My place of business is in [sub-district] and/but I live in [sub-district].
I [love/hate/adjective] living here.
You may take a picture: [Illustration or photography is acceptable. But make the size reasonable, please.]
If you must know more, I [any information/background you want to add].
+Application Process+ After filling out the skeleton, PM them to me and once I reply you may begin posting.
+Suggestions+ You don't have to listen to me but know that I prefer characters with limited powers and reasonable occupations/social standings. Example, a demon working in Lethe but living in Coctyus is acceptable but a demon living in Styx and working in Phlegethon is not unless you have the most air-tight logic surrounding the reasons why. Also feel free to edit the skeleton for grammarical purposes. (But ONLY grammarical purposes.)

+AceXIII+I am known as Akai Kemuri, the Red Smoke. I am a 1,000 or so year old fox demon. I have the ability to change my appearance and create minor illusions but work as the owner and manager of an opium den. My place of business is in Lethe and I live in Lethe. I don’t mind living here. You may take a picture:
If you must know more, a long time ago, I discovered the leaves we fox demons use to transform can be crushed and the tobacco is lovely hallucinogen. Ever since I’ve been experimenting and it’s done very well for my business in Lethe and the others I run on the side, but perhaps I shouldn't have told you that. +Black_Velvet_Rose99+I am known as Tylathia. I am a 412 year old Demon. I have the ability to control darkness and fire and work as a spy to keep other Demons in line. My place of business is in Styx but I live in Phlegethon. I hate living here. You may take a picture:
If you must know more, I've lived with my rich family all my life, although I am the least noticed because of my job in keeping Demons in line and protect...yes protect...mortals from unfriendly Demon encounters.+iAdoration+I am known as Sly. I am a young, 107 year old Succubus. I have the ability to encourage emotions (Not control, only spurring some stimulation.) and create fire from my hands and fingertips, only from my fingertips to my elbows am I fire-resistant. I work as a bartender. My place of business is in Cocytus but I live in Acheron. I tolerate living here. You may take a picture:
If you must know more, I'm rather power-hungry and will do relatively anything to increase the luxury in my life. I have quite the temptation to manipulate others when there are powerful demons around, specifically males.+ichibi1+I am known as Astrayl Heartness. I say I am 22 but I am actually a 5,000 year old Leviathan demon. I have the ability to control water while keeping my sea monster for under control but work as a bar owner. My place of business is in Cocytus but I live in Lethe. I am satisfied living here. You may take a picture: If you must know more, I come from the Leviathan lineage. In legends were are told as Beings of envy and one time during our great lineage we were even called The Grand Admiral of Hell. But a few generations ago our clan split up into certain areas. At the moment there are only 10 Leviathans including myself. I decided to settle here in Ashodel. Only a few people know what I am, and I what I am truly capable of. If everyone knew that a all powerful Leviathan lived among them it wouldn't serve me well. I keep my secret well and I keep my bar nice and clean.

▉▋▋▉▋▉▋▉▋▋▉▋▋▋▋▉▋▍▉▋▋▉▉▋▋▉▉▉▋▋▉▋▋▉▋▋▉▍ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ❀ SLY ❀ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Ϯhe sounds of people filled the streets of Acheron. Among the crowds of the district strut a figure, whom shorter and smaller than most in the crowd was still obviously female due to her curves. She was adorned in a golden outfit which included a barmaid's dress, and a small, stylish top hat(as shown above). Upon closer inspection one would notice stunning golden eyes to match her blonde locks of hair. One could even say she looked flawless, though one could guess what species she was do to the very light tug at the dark temptation in one's mind.
Ηer lightly toned figure was deceivingly strong for looking so weak and fragile. Even for a succubus she looked extremely delicate. Not even her brooding expression could change the softness of her face. At the time, she had her face lightly painted with a single black freckle on her left cheek, almost directly under the corner of her eye. Her eyes had a rim of black eyeliner, bringing full attention to her exotic golden eyes.
Her name was Sly she was a rather well renowned succubus for her age. The woman had many friends in different places due to her conversations at her place of employment, a tavern called The Barking Spider, known as BS for short, amusingly. The Barking Spider was quite the popular hang out for most demons, going there for a drink or to get acquainted. For Sly, however, the BS was her home away from home, even if it was in another district. When she was working, she was able to put on her most charming smile, serve some drinks with questionable names and get tips and compliments. It was bearable, but not favored to her, she would much rather be a mistress to a demon lord or even a demigod in Phlegethon. Hell, she may even be willing to marry the shmuck if it meant her only task would be to look pretty.

With a deep breath I lower my hand and sigh. Another demon gone for good. I look down at my latest victim, definitely my toughest one to beat. I had not seen the Blood Blade that he carried.
I pick up the weapon and look into it's core; as I had suspected, made from the blood of mortals. I sigh and reach into my body for darkness. It forms onto my hand and with a quick slice of my hand it is destroyed.
I look down the empty alley in Styx and smile, the others had run. My job for tonight is over now what are my options. I lean against a wall and tug at my hair, I could go home...ugh scratch that. The last thing I want is my older brother Drythu on my case. It's my choice to save mortals from our race isn't it?
I sigh again and begin to just walk, maybe I can grab something to eat at The Barking Spider. With my spirits a little lifted I transport through the darkness to the little tavern in Archeron. I get a table and sit, ignoring the whispers around me as "The Demon Slayer," "The Traitor," and my favorite, "The Cannibalistic Killer." I smile to myself and then jump awake when a Shifter Demon slams down beside me; a mean look in his eye.

▉▋▋▉▋▉▋▉▋▋▉▋▋▋▋▉▋▍▉▋▋▉▉▋▋▉▉▉▋▋▉▋▋▉▋▋▉▍ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ❀ SLY ❀ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Sly walked with her usual, headstrong nature. Eyes were glued to her seeing as she was such an unusual sight. She looked like an angel walking among the demons with her graceful steps and golden shine. Most succubus' fell into the 'dark and sensual' category while very few had the more sweet, dulcet look to them. Thankfully for Sly, she had quite the original look. Although not now, she holds quite a charming smile to go along with her soft face. Although, with her small but beautifully delicate look comes trouble from male demons, especially those with the 'tough guy' persona.
She had managed to satisfy her lust-drive to it's maximum earlier that day. Mortals were the easiest to pray off of. She wouldn't have to do anything but murmur sweet nothings into their ear and then lust would radiate off of them. She wouldn't even have to DO anything with them to get her fill, regardless, the lust is what gave her such a radiant glimmer, that made her so desired.
Her figure disappeared in a small portal with a sign next to it- 'Cocytus' it was labeled. Sly was off to work, her shift beginning in mere moments. To her luck and street-smarts, she picked the portal which sent her to a bookstore, located directly across from her place of work. Sly grinned cheekily before she strode across the street and into the tavern.
Three male demons followed her, horns made out of flames decorating their black-haired heads. It was quite obvious they were either a 'gang' or brothers. Possibly a combination. Sly tilted her head to each side slowly, cracking her neck, of course she noticed them. She could notice and analyze most things without a second glance. The golden haired harlot's flat lipline turned upward into a light smile, revealing a deep dimple at the corner of her mouth.
The bar seemed to sit still for the moment that she smiled, though awkwardly went back to the conversations as she moved behind the counter, the bar stools all empty. There was no need to get changed seeing as the owner of The Barking Spider was a close friend of hers. "Allo, Loves, who shall I tend to first?" Her voice held such calm, naturally melodic tones it seemed like a goddess was communicating, or perhaps that was just the compelling feeling of attraction her presence created- the presence of a succubus.
Out Of Charisma: The Barking Spider is actually in Cocytus, I just thought I'd let you know before we confused people. n_n Don't worry though, I would've made the same mistake, lul! :3

OOC: My bad! I'm in Cocytus smile
"Can I help you," I ask in a low voice; trying not to draw attention to myself.
"What kind of question is that," he says)rather loudly), "did you just happen to forget what you did yesterday?"
I sigh and lean back, "I'm afraid you got me mixed up with some whore you met on the streets."
"I wouldn't forget the killer who killed my second in command,"[ he snarls and hits his big fist on the table, making my drink jump.
I look at him from a side glance, "What happened to you gang member was coincidence. He was hurting a girl, I got rid of him."
"How dare you speak of him like that," he roars.
Great just great. Now I basically have the whole bar looking at my table. "Look buddy, I understand how your opinions differ from mine, but please wait till we can take this outside."
"No we end this now," he yells and hits the table away, "Get up Demon Slayer!"

As she worked on filling their drinks and partaking in light conversation Sly couldn't help but notice a building hostility at one of the tables. She saw a man seemingly harassing a woman. Sly smiled very lightly as she finished a conversation with a stuttering demon whom tried to order her a drink.
"Excuse me a moment, fellas- duty beckons me," she spoke calmly with her enchanting smile, receiving a few playful whines in protest. Sly walked steadily to the table as the man slammed his fist on the table and demanded the supposed 'demon slayer' to stand up. Sly's smile transformed into a slightly disturbed smirk.
"Pardon me, darlings, but might I ask what this ruckus is about? Is there anything you need assistance with?" she asked lightly, sending a vibe in her voice which tried to pull at the minds of those who heard it to settle down. Most of which mellowed out significantly. Sly's golden gaze glided smoothly between the two as he charmingly sweet smile returned.

Astrayl just woke up from his evening nap, still tired he took a big yawn. He looked out the window of his apartment to see the lights of the Lethe district. Deciding it was time to get up, Astrayl hopped out of bed and began to prepare for his day. Taking a long shower so that he doesn't dry up mid-day, taking his morphing drug in case he turns into his full form. Last time he transformed was a couple 100 years ago, still he caused a lot of destruction. After the pill, he made himself some breakfast and coffee. Ham and eggs with toast on the side. A large cup of coffee with vanilla cream in side to give it more of a sweet taste rather then a bitter one. Turning on the TV, he began to eat while watching the news, something about the demon slayer again. Truthfully he didn't care. Humans weren't worth his time and that was that. He just wanted to spend the rest of his days in peace. Not having to worry about the leviathan lineage, or his crazy relatives that refuse to leave him alone, telling him to find a girl and carry on the lineage. It was a complete bore to him. His family even knew he had two older sisters with kids who are already starting to grow in their fangs, the only issue was all the kids his sisters had are girls and it was predetermined that they would only have girls. His family wanted him to have a couple male leviathans just do give our clan some extra boost in power. What a bother.
As he finished his breakfast, Astrayl began to put on his bar keeper uniform. Black dress pants, white dress shirt, black vest, a couple of dress shoes and he was ready to go. He began for the door when he heard a knock. "Coming," he responded and began to open the door and what stood infront of him was one of the most vile creatures in the district of Lethe, his landlady. "Astrayl, you are behind on this month's rent. Either pay up or be evicted." She held out her hand and stared at him with a penetrating eye. His landlady was a hell cat, in both personality and species. Sighing he began to rummage in his wallet for the rent money. Pulling out a couple hundred, he handed her the money and smiled. "Here you go Ms. Devil oh I mean Mrs. Meedy. I hope you have a nice day." He was smiled on the outside but in his head was, 'Roll over and die already you old hag. Your husband would have a holiday if that happened.' After that he tipped his hat off to her, even if he wasn't wearing one. Closed the door to the apartment, locked the key and began for the portal to Cocytus.
Once he got to the Cocytus portal and stepped through he came upon a street gang standing not so far away from his bar. "Can I help you gentlemen?" The gang looked at him with head of fire and faces of goblins. 'Oh great, and that is just what I need. A bunch of fire goblins standing in front of my shop. Well there goes my good morning.' He sighed as the gang walked up to him. "What do you want bartender? Why don't you get lost before you get hurt." Astrayl looked at them, there were only four of them. They didn't seem to have weapons but Astrayl was not sure. "Hmmm but you see that is my bar over there. So I need to get through. Besides, you four aren't worth my time. So move along." He tried to pass them when a large club, that was one fire, simpletons, swung and missed his head by a inch. "Sigh, I guess you idiot goblins can't get a message." For a split second Astrayls killing intent flared and behind him was the shadow of a large serpent the size of a building. The goblins soon ran in fear, screaming at the mere look of it. Astrayl calmed down then smirked. "Alright time for work." He walked in and got behind the bar. "sly I hope you are working?"

"I have nothing against you...煙 ~ Kemuri ~ 煙
The acrid reddish smoke floated lazily into the air, spreading itself thickly around the heads of the other customers at The Barking Spider. It was fitting, the blood-like haze spreading over the crowd as one demon approached another, evidently looking for a fight. The demons surrounding, previously occupied by complaining about the smoke and/or the smell, now turned their attention to this pair and for that Kemuri was thankful. It was nice to get away from her own establishment in Lethe, take a leisurely stroll and enjoy a good smoke…even if it was a business venture.
The owner of the place had yet to show, but the regular barmaid had. Kemuri was about to call her over, but she too was preoccupied with the rowdy demons. Carefully she watched the scene, but didn’t move to interfere. Both demoness’ involved were vaguely familiar, but the smoky haze in the room and her mind prevented her from recalling. The whispers around the bar helped some. There were only a handful of “demon traitors” around, but most of them where of the Phlegethon ilk, the high-and-mighty bastards, taking it upon themselves to lay down the laws, several of which had severely affected her business. But this one didn’t look like a demon from Phlegethon, not in the slightest. But that attitude, unmistakably, that passive-aggressive….Ugh, it got on Kemuri’s nerves.
But through lucky coincidence, a distraction was provided as the owner of The Barking Spider finally decided to show his face, nevermind if he was talking to his employee. She was a customer, not paying mind you, but still…
“Barkeep, it’s about time you showed up! I have a business proposition for you.”
...It's just good business." OOC: Sorry, I'm late in posting! Kind of embarassing, seeing as I created this...

While shining the glassed, Astrayl's ears perked up when someone called. Taking a quick glance at the commotion, he chose to ignore hoping that his employee would handle it herself. Finally he caught sight of the person and to him it felt like seeing his doctor, which in fact you could call her that. Kemuri is one of the major opium suppliers in the Lethe. Of course she deals in other things which is why Astrayl knows her. She helps him get hi pills to keep his form under control. At the moment she is one of the few people that know what he is and what he is capable of. Sighing cause he knows that this was going to be tiring, he reluctantly sat down across from her. "Hello Madam Kemuri. My supply of morphing drug is low yet. Rather you gave it to me yesterday. So what do you need?"

"I have nothing against you...煙 ~ Kemuri ~ 煙
"Tch." Kemuri scoffed at his cheek, playfully blowing a bit of smoke his way, knowing it would dry him up faster. "And as I recall, you didn't pay me!"
Taking another drag of her pipe, she continued, "You can pay me in booze. I want thirty crates of the good stuff in my store room by tonight."
Kemuri liked nothing more than a good haggling, it's how she ran her business. Gold coins were fine, but there was nothing like a new vase, sculpture or ingredients to incorporate into her business and home, both of which were full of the miscellaneous artifacts....It's just good business." OOC: My posting style, lame as it is might disappear for a few days save for the color. This will be because I'm posting from an iPod and it's less hassle that way.

I eye the young Succubus and then fix my gaze on the Shifter. He's got this goofy grin on his face like he was just handed a million dollars and doesn't ever have to pay taxes again. "Well I uh...uh..." he stutters and moves a hand through his greasy hair.
I remain relaxed as his gaze shifts down to me with hate in his eyes. I know what a demon like me is thought of. I smirk and pick up my empty cup and set it upright, "What's wrong, cat got your tongue?"
His face flushes with anger and his hands ball into fists. I look at them and then back at his eyes, "Come now, you don't want to ruin the pretty bartender's night," I say and smile sweetly at the Succubus.
Again, with fumes coming out of his ears, he hits the table, "Watch your back Traitor."
He turns on his heel and leaves quickly with his gang behind him, "You are the least of my worries," I say and lift up my empty glass, "Another please, and sorry for the scene."
