Well there is a bit of a rift in the MMA world right now. It seems that K-1 Champion Jerome Le Banner will fight the UFC's Tim "The Maniac" Slyvia.

It startd out by Le Banner challenging Slyvia to a fight. He was sick of people saying that Slyvia is a world class striker and that he is a deadly striker. He said he wanted to show us Americans what a real striker is. (he loves his American fans) He said he wants a 2 fight deal: a fight in the K-1 ring and a fight in the UFC octagon.

Then came Slyvia's response. Basically he made fun of Le Banner's name, made fun of the French, and a bunch of other stuff. He said the only way he'd fight him is if Le Banner would come fight in the UFC for a fight. He was cocky and doing alot of trash talking. He also called him a nobody.

And lastly, Jerome's reponse. He contacted Dana White (UFC president) and is currently trying to work out a fight between himself and Slyvia. He said he'd be happy to fight him in the UFC. He sounded extremely pissed off in his reponse, not happy that Slyvia did all the trash talking.

Here they are.

And who do you think will win?

I am so positive to say that Le Banner will knock Slyvia out no problem in the first round. If you didn't know Le Banner is a Muay Thai fighter, but has been training in ground defense.

Le Banner is a great fighter and so is Sylvia. The trash talking is regretable. I think Le Banner's challenge of the two fights was a good one, and think Sylvia should have taken it in all fairness. The fact that he'd rather push Le banner to change and not push himself to do likewise speaks rather poorly of his character.

If it comes to striking Le Banner will win easily. Sylvia's only hope is to take him down and fast.

Le Banner has been working on his ground game though.

His best bet would be work counter grappling tactics and keep it a striking game. It would be a mistake to try to grapple Sylvia.

True.

This is how I see the match going.

They come to the center of the Ocatgon, they dance around, and then Le Banner ktkfo of Slyvia and wins easily.

If Sylvia has half a brain in his head, he'll go for a quick takedown.

A takedown wont matter. LE Banner has been working on groundfighting and he learns quick. Either way Slyvia is a dead man walking.

Le Banner is known for picking up his skill sets fast. I'm agreeing. Sylvia's odds are very poor.

Yes, I see it ending with a roundhouse to the head or a good punch.

(btw I like discussing MMA with you, you know your stuff)
