The chains would bind the creature without difficulty, and soon the demonic Chakra would disperse, leaving the air smelling faintly of barbecue. As soon as the foul Chakra left, the creature would once again cease moving, this time for good. The lump of Gelel in its stomach would pulse gently, shoving the demonic Chakra away faster before the stones, too, calmed.

"That was quite the response," the Kazekage muttered. "Looks like they used demonic Chakra to give it a power-up."

San took the second lacuna on his kunai and put it back in his sheath for future use. You never knew when he was going to need it. He stood and thought about the implications of what he had just witnessed, and what it would mean....

"Sensei, they ahve been experimenting with some have dark stuff. This lizard in general is pretty monstrous on its own, and the ability to come back to life...im glad i sealed it. Blowing it the ******** up only to have it come back...that would not be fun to have to handle. How should we proceed..."

"Well, if there aren't any more seals on it, then there's really only one thing we can do: kill them." The woman walked over and gave the carcass a gentle kick. When it didn't do so much as twitch, she turned back to San. "Or, well, bring them to justice. Whichever is more publicly appealing. Having some corpses to string up would be a wonderful deterrent against this sort of thing, wouldn't you think?"

San could only smile. Good old Bastet. This was a much needed interaction between the two of them. He gave a bow, and sealed the beast back into a scroll, and handed it to her for logging and evidence.

"Indeed, that would be perfect. I think they would think twice about that if we have more bodies hanging up there. However, lets keep this on in your specimen archive, for future testing. "

Bast dissolved her hand into dust and had the cloud take the scroll away. It would be back before too long, and that would be that.

"If possible, we should also iron out the situation in Saraswati. The recon team has been out there for far too long now," she mused aloud. "I'll leave that to your discretion."

As soon as her hand formed again, she stretched and yawned. Exerting her Chakra network with Douka felt good, even if it was tiring. She shifted back to flesh and bone and cracked her knuckles.

San observed the duoka capabilities, a mild jealousy he possessed of the miyamoto capabilities. It was like his satetsu, only all matter. It seemed he was one uped at every turn, but he made do with what he could.

"The recon team just returned with information, but were taking a mild rest before they reported anything major. Once James is ready to go back out again, ill send him and the team. Do you need me for anything else? prehaps join us for an observation in the university? maybe finish our own collab training?"

"Hm... I think I'll pass," she responded, rubbing her neck. "I think it's about time for a nap. If you're still around after I wake up, I might stop by, but no promises."

Almost as if on cue, Bast would let out a loud yawn. Spending all day in a cramped office was not good for one's sleep cycle, especially when that person was used to frequent napping and otherwise high levels of activity. She snapped her fingers and Mononoke arrived with a gurney, onto which the woman promptly climbed. She was out like a light before she confirmed whether San had left or not.

San would check the records and then reveal the 7 bodies if the deceased...4of quick were headless. He would also put out their garments, including the konoha headband, facemask, bow, arrows, and dual kukri weapons. Once completed, he would look at masahiro blankly....

Masahiro walked among the corpses, eyes scanning each one in turn. The four decapitated he assumed lost their heads in battle. As San traveled the short distance to retrieve the garments Masahiro inspected the faces of the ones whose still remained. Leaning down close to them he searched for any detail to who they were or from which clans they came. To his eyes not a single one seemed to be from any graduating class he remembered. They weren't old enough to be in his graduating era, nor were they young enough to be foolhardy genin looking to settle some score.

When Sanshi approached him with the garments and equipment of the Shinobi he took a moment to inspect them further. Throughout his time in Konohagakure Masahiro had only ever known of one Shinobi to carry a bow and arrow as weaponry, much less for any other to be trained with them. Then there was the question of the Kukri, no Shinobi of the leaf had been known to carry them insofar as he had been returned to the village, nor in the time before he had voluntarily taken his leave. This fact alone made Masahiro stare tonelessly back at Sanshi. Perhaps there had been a misunderstanding about how they lived in the village of the Leaf.

Turning to face away from the corpses, he spoke.

"These aren't Konohagakure Ninja, Satetsu Sanshi. Their equipment is entirely foreign to the known and listed shinobi of our lands throughout the last several administrations. If, by any means, they had been Konoha nin before then, they would have be listed as Rogue Nin in the current regimes. The last known Shinobi from my lands to be even trained or known to carry a bow was Kenta Takahashi, and he died nearly two years ago." Masahiro spoke firmly as he laid a hand on the chest of one of the corpses before grabbing one of their headbands.

Weighing the headband in his hand a moment he set it down, removing his own to weigh it in the opposing hand. The metals were different, in weight and composition. Giving them a stern glare he set the 'evidental' headband down under light, then keeping a firm grip, placed his near it, looking over the odd striations in the metal of the first.

"Around the time these would have had to have been made, Sanshi, Konohagakure wasn't in dire need of metals for repairwork. As a matter of pride our headbands were fashioned from our own homelands steel, take a look here, the metals are different. Massively so."

San would ponder the words of the hatake, and then seek to do his own tests. Certainly, the ninjas understanding of the headbands were true. His own senses could confirm that different metals created these headbands. The fact that nobody used a kukri or even carried a bow in konoha was a little far fetched to believe, and san was to confirm it.

"You may be right about the headbands, but you mean to tell me no one has even tried those weapons? I am by no means a buki specialist and even I have had my hands on several weapons. It is possibly these were the only weapons they had at the time...or even trained extensively to make a near perfect ambush. That point has offered me no solace in this matter...."

"Kukri make horrible ambush weapons, even as backup incase the situation turns for the worst. Unless every strike you make is a decapitating or lung piercing one, the injuries leave the afflicted too much time to cry out in anguish. And with such a weapon the anguish would be great. Your point on bows, I could see. But what about the composition of the wood?" Masahiro would pick one of the bows up, inspecting the quality of it as well as trying to discern if it were of the species near Konoha.

"While I don't know where it's from..." Masahiro began as he tapped the bows to make sure they weren't hollowed. "I can also say these bows aren't made from the same woods near Konohagakure or the standard wood purchased in Takumi. It's too light, and porous. The woods of Konoha are largely chakra infused due to the villages innate ties with the Senju and the fact that several times over they have repopulated the forests. Takumi generally utilizes a selection of Cedards and Willow type woods for their bow, no chakra infusion in their wood, so less dense structure, but certainly not porous."

Masahiro spoke firmly and with complete devotion to his belief that this was not something that had been contrived by any member of Konoha. Much of the evidence was leveled against it already. This left only one issue, in his mind, who truly ordered this.

"It may not be enough, in itself, to truly repair damages between our two great nations, but I believe we were targets in someone else's greater scheme. Have you come under recent attack, had any opponent attempting to seize ingress on the Lands of Wind? If so, we may find our common enemy there. Because if they wanted you to attack us, it meant either they specifically wanted Konohagakure removed from the map, as our recurring foes have, or someone wanted you to go to war and be stretched thin. At least, looking at it as a battlefield scenario." He spoke sagely, eyes drooping somewhat as he thought the matter over in his own mind.

If our enemies were to try to take both Sunagakure and Konohagakure at once, then putting us at a war between each other would be the only way to rightfully begin it. They'd have to egg Suna to be willing to leave their Solitude and Fortress to purposefully incite battle with us. Suna would most likely have smoked us out, burning the forests, which entirely bares the area around us, opening both forces into an open battle, from which an enemy could assault. Meanwhile as the reserve guard or split forces protected Suna alone, they could have assaulted under cover of nightfall in their flying contraptions. Neither village would truly have known to react.

As he thought to himself he paced the area around the corpses and their equipment, eyeing minute details as he did so.

San would keep his composure, but it was rough to deal with someone who believed they knew warfare. Still, san picked up one of the bows, but shook his head. The kid was wrong.

While I would be inclined to agree, you must need your senses checked.
I've seen these bows seemingly shot arrows over 2 kilometers. The arrows themselves unleashed hundreds of senbon till it blotted out the sun. It would have probably injured if not killed a few gennin had our security detail Not been so prepared. Whatever you say, porous wood could not hold that kind of tension. And I KNOW chakra wasn't used In the initial attack.

San tried not to smirk when he tried to ponder suna's battle strategy. If only he or the Uhv could even fathom their strategies. They were so sorely unprepared it was almost saddening.

"In all these, your actions are to finish your opponent from first cut to last. If only it was that easy to catch suna off guard. You must first convince me, without a shadow of a doubt, that this was not the work of your village. While you have theories, your hard evidence is still lacking. Am I really to expect your village is so predictable that several imposters are able to hide any discernable evidence, or your village has no fail safes? For masters of the battlefield, you forgot what it means to be a ninja..."

"Perhaps I should rephrase. I should choose my words wiser in your counsel, Master Satetsu. This wood is Diffuse-Porous, as many quality bow-woods are. Not simply porous to the extent of being opened. I mean, looking at this and feeling it's heft in my hand, it seems more to me like it's a lacquered Sycamore or Oak, than our own Chakra Infused Trees, or Takumi's Cedar and Willow. Also, to be noted, a Diffuse-Porous Oak would give you better draw weight and distance/power as compared to anything we're currently growing or importing." Masahiro intoned as he cast the equipment another look.

"Though what you said, just there, about the arrows unleashing Senbon. Enough to blot out the sun. That's a favoured tactic of our current enemy. Everything they've fired at us has replicated or loosed more and more senbon onto us. It's how they managed to level parts of the village so easily. Elemental infusions in each senbon, no less, at least in our case." Masahiro levered in gentle repose, then catching onto Sanshi's biting words about forgetting what it means to be a Ninja.

"I must admit, the previous administration was faulty, and even those who were tasked as students under me chose to walk their own path than to take my words and lessons to heart. We spent so little time at war until recently that some have forgotten the way of their nindo, others forgot the meaning of Shinobi entirely. Though, I never said all were Masters of the Battlefield either, many are like our currently chosen Kage. An Academy student, who within less than a year from receiving his headband became Hokage. A position thrust on him by a Kage who wanted to see his own legacy preserved by his cabinet after his suicide. I aim to oneday reclaim the title of Kage into adept hands, and forge some level of sanity into Konohagakure. Else, I'll take my leave of the lands. This is in part why I have come."

San would keep his voice quite, but his words would ring With the weight of hundreds of swords.

"In proper, capable hands, words can be more deadly than any blade. You should always chose them carefully, like you chose your weapon for every battle. I'm glad your senses at least work, I was worried at first."

San would then listen almost boardly to his comments, and then offer his own statements.

"Let me tell You a story that seems to have been forgotten in time. There was once a master whom commanded several men, whom was framed and asked for his life honorably by his own hand by the governed of the land. Dishonored and master less, the men wandered the land for seven years. When the framer was getting married, the men dressed as tengu and another lords warriors and exacted their justice for their fallen master."

San let his story sink in before continuing.

"Your ninja could have used weapons from another land, made headbands in another land to make a double false guise to trick and confuse an enemy. How do I know you where not sent here to pull the will over our eyes, sell your lie to us to cover your tracks. Prove to me, hatake, prove to me your villages innocence...if you can. Your a jounin...you have your secrets and your ways do you not...."
