Yesterday a 「Vocaloid and Music Software Industry」 lecture was held at the EEIC Engineering Department at The University of Tokyo. Sasaki Wataru of Crypton Future Media (co-developer of Vocaloid) was on-hand to discuss the future of their product. Audio samples of KAITO Append “Power” and “Whisper,” as well as an incomplete version (only 40% complete) of the upcoming English Miku Vocaloid software were also revealed. Lol, I agree, although since English Miku is only 40% done she shouldn't be all that dandy, and she isn't at the moment. We'll just have to see what she's like when she's released. (:

But yeah, Kaito sounds nice. Nicer in the whisper.
Miku is very hard to understand but it's nice to have her in english. I'm very excited for the finished version of her.

Miku is very hard to understand but it's nice to have her in english. I'm very excited for the finished version of her. Appends, like Rin, Len, and Miku basically means extend. All Vocaloids who are released as an Append gets more pitches and sounds added to their original voice. Therefore, that's why they sound somewhat different. For example Len's Power voice, Kaitos whisper voice, Miku's soft voice, Rin's sweet voice.. So on so forth.

That was really good. Why don't they start out like that? or is it something that needs to be in demand? I noticed it sounded like Kaito was singing from his throat though... but that is from many of the males.
