A rat died in the roof, right above my bedroom
We noticed the smell on the weekend and removed it, but it was already badly decomposed

It's frustrating because my room is my space, you know, the place in the house where I am the most relaxed

This isn't all that similar, but there are a bunch of ants in the kitchen. I don't like it. It feels like all the food is contaminated. With ants.
Do they have airspray in Australia? Or Glad Plug-Ins? It would probably take a lot of plug-ins. Stupid rat.

oh rats!
razz
i sympathize; my main room where i have the comp and most of my books and a sofa and some appliances has been taken over by adopted cats who are not mean but they were alley cats and not very neat or tidy, and they also scratch you (unintentionally)
so i have been avoiding that space; it is now theirs!

Oh dear, we had some lab rats go off in high school and from what I remember the smell was absolutely terrible.
And I know what you mean about your own space, even when you love your friends and family, you still need a little hideaway of your own.
