Okay so we probably all know this wonderful movie!
For those of us who don't it's a must see in the lolita world.

However recently released is alos Kamikaze girls the manga, not as good, but still pretty cool, and the novelization!

The main purpose of this thread is to chit chat about the book comic movie... and what not!!!

Go fourth and live Rocco!!!

XD Very interesting explination there. whee

I got the movie about half a year ago and STILL haven't gotten tired of watching it! XD

But I must say that the movie was actually BASED on the novel so in actual fact the novel came first. ;D

But it is a very interesting movie and funny aswell. >w< Me and my friend have linked our personalities to Momoko and Ichigo and they do actuallymatch. (The characters not the actors. XP)

So yeah, go see it, spend a million dollars if you need to cause it rocks. 3nodding

I have seen the manga around the lolita community, I've heard that it is very close to the movie but I don't really know. I am looking to get it in the near future. not sure if there is a difference between the paperback and the hardcover. they look different and have slightly different titles.

The movie sounds like it's good though...what's it about?

The moive, hardback novel and the manga are all currently avalible at borders, I do know walden carries the book and manga although I don't know if you can order the DVD from them. I'll use this as the assumption that you can get it from Barnes and Noble as well. (Sadly, i hate them most times as they were just jerks about ordering manga in the past to quote thier district manager who was talking way too loudly on the phone. "If the kid is trying to order those stupid childrens comic books from japan tell her the book in unavalible as we won't be carring any more than we have to" Mind you the book he spoke about was in ym hand from borders, and I had a friend who wanted a copy...)

Anyways... Hope that helps!

when i first saw the trailers for the movie i thought i was going to love momoko, but i ended up hating her. She was so snobby and just... uck and ugly person. I ended up liking Ichigo quite a bit more, i didnt start liking momoko until the very end during the challenge(she kinda makes a good goru loli XD.. you dont see them so often). It was a really great movie though, i watch so much! It makes me want a BSSB dress so much more though sad .
I think Momoko's veiw on rococo was hillarious, with the bed and then stitching and then bed XD its really funny how she thought it was like "candy" when it was actually rather horrid and such, it just looked nice...

Ahaha the bed part made me laugh a lot. XD; The other part that I'll remember forever is when Momoko tries to give a melon in replacement for a friend. It was adorable.

Personally, I really liked Momoko's character, although I don't know if I could say the same for if I would have liked her had I met her in person or such. She was simply really amusing to watch. When she said "I don't need friends" or whatever that line was [I forget easily ^^'] I was in shock. I thought it was kind of a refreshing view on humanity. But, maybe it was just me feeling antisocial. -__-; Either way, I like her for saying that, even though in the end she is friends with Ichigo.

Really I found a lot of the ideas in the movie quite intriguing. Like how Ichigo reasoned that crying only when you're by yourself makes you stronger :] I'm trying to follow that lifestyle... well only that phrase.. I dont' want to be a yanki XD;
