Credits: An Avian pride based on Chi & Sairen's OC concept designed by CookieHana @ DA whom said we can do whatever we want with it XD;. Off with the show now biggrin !
SPECIAL NOTE: These 'edits' and avian race may NOT be duplicated in or adopted as your OC. The coloring may, but not the direct edits. The edits / avian concept specie are strictly prohibited to use outside of this pride. AKA, don't come up with an oc and use the avian edits as your base for a new oc. The specie if copyrighted to Cookiehana, Sairen and Myself only. Please ask us permission if you want to use the edits and adapt it to something outside of gaia or any duplicated pets. Do not duplicate pets without colorists permission and without OUR permission for the edits directly specifically for this specie. We worked very hard and paid a lot to have this specie done. Please do not duplicate.
Making an Avian: There is the last section of this that says ' Making an Avian '. This section will tell you which birds are taken. There are many types of birds so please don't hate on anyone that 'took' your bird. <3 Find another?

[ Lay out ] The pride is set up in the misty treetops of the rainforest near the mountain range. They have spread slightly to other rainforests near and far but this is the MAIN central of the pride. Some have even spread to the mountains themselves to safe guard children but most live in the rainforest. They are tribal ulaya whom work as a team to help survive, but as clans. They seem to work better than all together as a unit. Only when it comes time of war of immense celebration is when they are 'one'. They speak in the native 'tongue of the trees'. Most common ulaya will hear chirping or singing when they encounter the Ptaki.
The elder Ptaki can take flight for long distances while the newer blood can only fly short distances but they have a better knack for climbing trees. The purebloods that have fled away from the central pride had come back with new seen traits that define the different clans. Adapting to the different changes of environments and coming back to display what their 'blood' has evolved in to.

[ Important Info ]
The story goes that, a race was discovered in the treetops of the rainforest by a God. The god watched over this race as an untouched and pure race. Wholly believing in their survival traits and admiring them from afar. When the race encountered the God, he was greeted with hostility and captured. Later, with the understanding of an Elder, as only the elder could speak the tongue of the God ( as it was the language of the ancients ). The God and the elder came to an agreement that their race be blessed by the god. They lived much more humble than the norm as the ulaya race became more sociable and learned new languages and practices, the Ptaki had not. Stuck in the past ways. Closely related to the Ucolians, they are an avian race that fly and climb in the tree tops.
One day, a child of the Ptaki when they were once ALL united under one family. Had fallen out of the treetops and it's wings were torn apart by the branches and fall. It ailed and cried but no one heard it high upon the treetops. Those days of old, the Ptaki had too, walked the earth below them and hunted and befriended the no-winged races. It would have been no problem to retrieve the child. But, when a Polowanie found the body, it was torn apart by a much larger ulaya and declared war against all whom lived on the earth below. After that, they went in to hiding under the thickness of the treetops for good. Caring for their young now in baskets that were attached to their backs.
The child, was the born heir to the thrown. The saddest thing, is that one of the parents to the child was unable to have any more children and died shortly after. After the loss of two important members of the pride.. they asked the God to supply them coverage around their pride and the God had granted it with ease at the loss. For the protection of the pride, that coverage they sought meant the death of that God, and he simply died as he was attached to the pride's people and would give his all for them. Time stood still for a few years before the great change.
The pureblooded had filtered out and the pride became explosive with minor wars against each other. Pitiful fights came and left and destroyed the unity of the pride. In hopes of its survival, the Elder spoke with strength and power. To divide the pride in to clans and send them away to new lands. These clans later branched and evolved physically in to separate entities over the years that had passed with the help of their environment. This somehow eased the pains of the people and allowed them to branch out. The ones whom remained in the same place of origin was the Elder Clan.
But with the lands always changing and their lands in danger of disappearing. Each hanging their own troubles and own danger- that the alphs, one way or another have fled back to the land they once knew as home. As they believe this was a 'sign' to come back to the lands. Now that they have recently come back together. They still seemed to want to retain their own clans... still living under one rainforest.
The elder now in power hopes that one day, they will be united as one great pride again but that seems far than likely as his great grandfather had once decided to break them all apart. It is with new age comes new responsibility. Caring for one child of his own that will hope to one day put upon her the task of uniting all of the tribes as a whole once again. The first part of bringing them together has come, now it was up to the newest heir to fulfill the task that her father entrusted in her. Too bad she is a child.

[ Ranks/Clans thus far ]
Dzikie Ptaki Is the name of the main group. Like a pridal name.
Meaning Wild Birds in Polish.
Ptaki is pronounced the same way as Pocky ; Is the name of the Specie.
The Ptaki are separated in different 'tribes' aka 'clans' so to say.
Dzikie is pronounced the same way as Dizzie ; Meaning Wild. This is in addition to Ptaki is the name of the pride as a whole. To the Ptaki, it means the 'central' home from which they came from.
They are one pride when its time for war and specie but separated by skill specific to their clan. They were once all just ranks within one family but soon the clans wanted their own separate place and their own voices. The elders spoke and created the tribes/clans to help ease the troubles so that each clan may heighten skills surrounding how they raise their young.
This is how the pride will be set up thus far. They have been living this way for many decades now and the young think that this is how it always was. Later down the road with a meta plot in place, the clans will disappear and the pride will be ONE later down the road. But for now. This is how the pride is set up.
Antichi ( Ann - Tee - Key ) - Elders Clan
( overseers to the pride as a whole )
- Elder, Usually called the Antichi are the head of the elder's clan and are highly regarded as the souls of the pride itself. Their word is the final say to all decisions concerning the pride as a whole.
- Prince / Princess, The Heirs to the thrown of the Alpha and thoughs that were born from the Alpha.
- Waazidii ( Pronounced Waah- zee - dee ) Meaning the gifted ones. Are thoughs that have been around since the birth and are 'purebloods'. They likely didn't go to another clan even if they are skillful because they believe in the unity of one pride.
- Tercinta ( Pronounced Tear-sin-tia ) are the children of the purebloods. Gifted as birth, they have the ability to go to any clan without commotion and have a knack for being good at the skill they do take on.
Clan Traits: Long tails and have one feather on their tail. Their wings are usually bigger and have a royal feel about them. Females are usually more gentile with an assortment of jewelry. They are a dying part of the pride as the purebloods are endanger of being extinct thus far.
Polowanie ( Polo- Van- Ya ) - Hunting clan
( Separate tribe for hunting/survival/gathering )
- Alpha- Head of the clan aka leader. Whatever they say goes within their pack. Apart of the pride in a whole, they come together to make decisions that will better their specie.
- Prince/Princess , The Heirs to the thrown of the Alpha and thoughs that were born from the Alpha.
- Councilor , The ones whom operate any clan going ons and help the Alpha on decisions and pretty much are the ones whom organize everything.
- Hunter, Known to be assorted of the skills of hunting, fighting, and gathering. They make up the main group.
- Trainee, Boxes and Kits have this name as they are merely born on to the clan with hopes and aspirations from their parents. They may choose to go in to a different rank if they so choose a different route as their parents.
Clan Traits: Usually have talons on their hind legs and usually more scruffy and muscular than the normal Ptaki. They are based upon predator birds more often than not. They act as if they were a wolf pack. Slightly more aggressive in nature. Some have even been reported to have leather wings but there are few and far between.
Shamaani ( Shaa- maan - nee ) - Seers clan
( Separate tribe for thoughs with SIGHT/magic ability/Herb Masters/Spirit enchanters/Tree talkers )
- Alpha- Head of the clan aka leader. Whatever they say goes within their pack. Apart of the pride in a whole, they come together to make decisions that will better their specie.
- Prince/Princess , The Heirs to the thrown of the Alpha and thoughs that were born from the Alpha.
- Councilor , The ones whom operate any clan going ons and help the Alpha on decisions and pretty much are the ones whom organize everything.
- Mwonaji , ( Pronounced Wa-na-gee ), Known to be assorted of the skills of conjuring up small spells, poisons, or to seeing the past or future. They make up the group of commoners.
- Trainee, Boxes and Kits have this name as they are merely born on to the clan with hopes and aspirations from their parents. They may choose to go in to a different rank if they so choose a different route as their parents.
Clan Traits: These Ptaki have an ominous feel to them. Usually only have their eyes half lidded and have a 'muse' item to them. A rock, piece of jewelry or something that they feel attached to. Their sclera are usually grey or black. For some reason, these Ptaki have tattered or broken wings. It is said that once the kit hits a specific age, they break them to signal they have sacrificed a piece of themselves for their ability.
Artista ( Arr - tee- ss - ta ) - Entertainers Clan
( Separate tribe for thoughs with the ability of the arts )
- Alpha- Head of the clan aka leader. Whatever they say goes within their pack. Apart of the pride in a whole, they come together to make decisions that will better their specie.
- Prince/Princess , The Heirs to the thrown of the Alpha and thoughs that were born from the Alpha.
- Councilor , The ones whom operate any clan going ons and help the Alpha on decisions and pretty much are the ones whom organize everything.
- Artist, Known to be assorted of the skills of singing, danging, painting and the like. They make up the group of commoners.
- Trainee, Boxes and Kits have this name as they are merely born on to the clan with hopes and aspirations from their parents. They may choose to go in to a different rank if they so choose a different route as their parents.
Clan Traits: They look close to gypsies and have objects that either make noises or decor them in bright colors. Their feathers are usually longer but their tails are still not as long as the elders. They are usually happy and very proud.

( Pet Name / Bird )
No avian is alike, that means. No avian will have been inspired by the same bird. Each Avian comes from a different bird markings. The only time they are the same is if a parent is of that bird as well.
+ To make an Avian, Pick a bird that is not already taken. Grab the bird's image. Your looking for the MARKINGS of that bird. Not the color.
+ Pick a color combination of your choosing. I can ALSO ( Completely inspired by the bird ) aka be the colors of the bird. All up to you <3
+ Make a gaia avatar of simple tribal clothing and especially note the hair style. Make sure your keeping in mind the clan their in.
+ All wings must be smaller than Miu's. Also, NO Ptaki's tail is LONGER than Miu's. They ALL must be shorter than hers and may also NOT possess ONE feather. They must have multiple feathers of on their tail. Miu is a direct descendant of the first Ptaki.
+ Very little Avians will have leather wings. This is extremely rare and the only ones that favor it are the Polowanie. The parent must be of the Polowanie clan. These Avians most likely will be dressed in some type of fur.
So your avian should be the combination like.
1. Pick a bird, this bird will be used for the marking reference
2. Choose your colors, you may keep it like the natural bird coloration or you can make up your own. ( example : A rainbow colored Krestel or you can say to keep the bird's normal colors as well. Think of it like pokemon. You can have the normal pokemon or a shiny, same concept.)
3. Decide what extra edits you'd like. ( Not including the base edits that a pkati already comes with. They already have a edit base edits which you can not change unless consulting Chi otherwise ). Extra edits can be extensive hair, to hunter's clothings and or fur clothing, like furred arms or extra feathery jeweled accessories.

The cost is broken down in to the custom and how abnormal the edits are.
To be specific to the pride. They are pricy so if you need help. Later on we'll have a charity quest helping thing to help you get the Pkati you want <3
The base price for the designs in question: 500K. ( For a normal Pkati )
( The base was charged like an edited Ucolian / Undulcan. )
+ Includes the pkati / wings /ears/ tail/feathered joints / edits
+ Minor edits, like simple hair or minor clothes
+ Minor edits
+ Coloring/Markings
Any other edits/intense edits that are NOT included in the base price, is subject to the shop's pricing.
Please be sure to ask questions to your colorists if your not sure or post here if you'd like a pricing quote.
+ If you wanted a polowanie ( Aka ANY/ALL Predator bird )
They will be charged a little more since they have special hind leg claw edits that are specie to their clan.
+ Others will have minor edits that may fall in to it and its up to the colorist's discretion.
Colorists: As of now, Only Elvish has done two already and knows what the restrictions are and what the general design is. Please be advised to read the rules about tail and wing restrictions! You would need to pm/aim chi about any big wings or single feathered tails. It has to be approved.
RESUME! , we highly encourage if you want a character of the same race to ask permission ( Chi Sohma is the closest contact ) . On top of that, if you like the designs- but aren't really in to the bird type~ and want a random specie for yourself! You can commission [ CookieHana ] over at DA. She makes concept species all the time and getting one from her helps out a fellow artist biggrin !
In order to have this going I would like to thank Cookiehana very much, she is awsome and you must visit her! <3

The specie is NOT templated- it's just what the price quote included. Each bird should be specific to its character and drawn with equal and or dedication as the next. This specie is not OFFICIAL in the jokoa shop. It's a custom I ordered and would like to have several others play apart of like a pride. All rights are still reserved so please don't snatch ideas because I will be VERY strict and hold no mercy. ASK before you place that custom. I have the right to deny anyone access to these certain edits because it is UNIQUE to MY/SAIRENs OWN OCs. Thanks.

hmm.. I have an idea i want to custom in. Actually, I have 3 ideas all together. XD I just love birds, but basically~ I have 2 primary ones I would like to go after. I wouldn't have the funds for any of the three right away unless i replace my current ness quest with my Seaport one. but i'll send you my concepts and see what you think. as for the specific ranks/etc... i'd like to get your consultation if you approve of the overall concepts. <3

If DE and Tygress ;^; ..ilu... can you post your forms here too so I can sees them? I already accepted yall so that's all good to go for approval. Or at LEAST what clan and stuff you want them to be in. And personality.. So I can put that in to the owners list IF I get enough people to make a pride biggrin !
+ If your not sure on the rank, if I see the form and what their personality is and what edits you have extra on that Pkati then I can better help with ranks and such.
+ We need at LEAST 5 members, and I would like ONE God to be their patron. Maybe even two. biggrin So applications for gods would be awsome <3

I acctually decided to try for twins since I couldn't decide between a male or female hope its ok. I figured siblings could be based on the same bird type. No name info yet since I'm not sure if I'll keep both or give one away with your clearance of course for the pride biggrin
They're birds of prey so whichever I keep, or both, would be Polowanie.

No name info yet since I'm not sure if I'll keep both or give one away with your clearance of course for the pride biggrin They're birds of prey so whichever I keep, or both, would be Polowanie.
YEP! Birds of prey are Polowanie! 8D Always. And your good to go. Though, the wings can not be bigger.. ( unless royal and they would have to be decent of an Elder ) A colorist went to ok that with me but unless they are king and queen or the prince or princess- then it's highly unlikely theyd have bigger wings than the template provides..
So let me know rank wise and I'll go ahead make an ok- if not then they would have to stay the same size as the template.. D:
